Form Analysis by Darren Clayton

RACE ONE

Tackling tougher opponents in recent starts, the drop back into Band5 company should be the catalyst for MOSSDALE TERRY (1) to bounce back into winning form. Runner-up to ALWAYS SMOKIN last start in a sub 1.50 mile, he gets every chance in this.

SAINT VERAN (8) was snookered in the run here last week and never found the space when just 3m astern of the winner. Buried away the start prior and never getting a chance to shake free in time, he should be tucked away here and ready to issue a challenge.

MONSIEUR DELACOUR (3) has been in great form of late and will chase the hat-trick here. Charging home on the outside paint to score last week, he can be thereabouts.

MACH ASSASSIN (6) was strong to the line last week and loomed strongly, only to be nabbed in the last stride by MONSIEUR DELACOUR. He can be joining in again here.

SELECTIONS: MOSSDALE TERRY (1), SAINT VERAN (8), MONSIEUR DELACOUR (3), MACH ASSASSIN (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MOSSDALE TERRY (1) to win

RACE TWO

Placed at his past three in succession in this grade, ROCKNPENNY (2) gets his chance to take a shot from this gate. Using the passing lane for the silver behind HIRANYA last week, a similar scenario unfolded two starts back when runner-up to PROMISING. This looks within reach.

METALLICA MAN (6) is a well performed 5YO stepping out for NSW trainer Tom Ison that was a Newcastle winner two starts back. Leading throughout in a tidy line up, he faded last start when midfield behind DADNDAVE. Despite the wide gate, he can look to issue the challenge.

ALLMIGHTY MAX (9) has been returning some consistent results of late, placing at his past two in this same grade. With the right trip, he is a podium player again here.

BETTOR KEPPEL (5) held on for the silver at Redcliffe two starts back and then last time in a 70Final, not much went in his favour from the second line. He can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: ROCKNPENNY (2), METALLICA MAN (6), ALLMIGHTY MAX (9), BETTOR KEPPEL (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

Mustering the early speed from gate 1 here last week, HIRANYA (3) was able to hold then wide and then dictate to victory at the mile, taking a 5m margin. Sectionally strong the start prior from wide off the second line, some winning confidence can see him chase a repeat.

MASTER CHARLES (4) cashed in along the passing lane here three starts back to claim a 2m margin. Darting through in a blanket finish at his next appearance when missing a placing but oh so close to victory, he attacked the line strongly last start.

BOMBADIER JUJON (1) will be further tightened from his latest outing when third up from a spell. Grabbing the bronze behind ARODA last start via the passing lane, he is right in the mix.

DON ARTHUR (8) was forced into too much grunt work in the early stages last start which told in the latter portions of the contest. With the economical trip, he can be joining in here.

SELECTIONS: HIRANYA (3), MASTER CHARLES (4), BOMBADIER JUJON (1), DON ARTHUR (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-4-8

RACE FOUR

Finishing in the top two in all five attempts here at The Creek, IS THAT A BID (11) loomed strongly last start, only to be collared by TOP OF THE MOMENT in the last stride. Attacking the line strongly the start prior when first up for six weeks, he can look to cash in.

ADELLE (6) was attacking the line strongly here last week when grabbing the silver behind ZEALOUS SPUR. Working in the run the start prior when sent forward to sit parked from the 20m tape, she can press forward here and look to issue the challenge.

ZEALOUS SPUR (8) followed through from the second line here last week to get outside the leader and then grind out a gritty victory. He will be searching for the gaps here to offer.

VICTREE HILL (9) forced the issue last start to work to the front from gate 5 but was out of bullets turning for home when midfield. An easier trip here will aid his chances.

SELECTIONS: IS THAT A BID (11), ADELLE (6), ZEALOUS SPUR (8), VICTREE HILL (9)
SUGGESTED BET: IS THAT A BID (11) to win

RACE FIVE

Four horses have broken the once mythical 1.50 mile here at The Creek, and all four will be lining up in this edition of the Be Good Johnny. TURN IT UP (1) may be amid the biggest win drought of his career, but it profiles ideally for him to bring the rains of victory. A strong second from gate 10 behind BRAEDOS LAD two starts back, he can stalk and strike.

TARGARYEN (8) will need to step back up here after dropping back to old timers grade on the mid-week circuit at his past four starts, but it is hard to ignore the mapping set up he will secure. Strong off tempo, he should be tucked away here and be ready to dart through when the gap arrives.

ALWAYS SMOKIN (5) was sent straight to the front last time and powered up to run a 1.49.6 mile. Placed his previous four in succession, the gate makes this a tough ask.

JIMARTEE (6) returns from a let up after completing successive wins before the break. Sent forward to take control from gate 4 and hold them off, he will be right in the thick of it here.

SELECTIONS: TURN IT UP (1), TARGARYEN (8), ALWAYS SMOKIN (5), JIMARTEE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: TURN IT UP (1) to win

RACE SIX

The final of the Peak of The Creek will be decided here following four heats on Tuesday where OUR BENSON (9) was collared in the latter stages by BETTERTHAN POPSY. The middle half pressure told the tale, his 55.9 in front proving too sapping. Following through at the start, he can position to finish over the top.

ATTACHMENT (2) defied gate 7 to charge across and take them all the way in his heat, posting a 4m margin on the line. A noted front runner, his past three wins have all been when lighting the lamps and with the likelihood he is blazing the trail again here, the challenge will be issued.

BETTERTHAN POPSY (1) was locked away in transit in his heat and when extricating into open air, had the speed to arrive. With the perfect trip likely to be presented, he can make his play.

AMAMI (3) also overcame gate 7 to press on to the front and take them all the way, pulling clear to a 10m margin. Placed his previous three in succession, he can be up near the action.

SELECTIONS: OUR BENSON (9), ATTACHMENT (2), BETTERTHAN POPSY (1), AMAMI (3)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR BENSON (9) to win

RACE SEVEN

Placed in her past four in succession, including the last three in this grade, YUKON BE SERIOUS (1) looks to have found the set up to capitalise. Trying to fend them off last week, she was nabbed by BETTING STAR but can look to go one better here.

RACING PAULA (4) is part of the Ison travelling team and arrives after just missing the money last start at Newcastle from an awkward position. Hitting the line strongly the start prior when under 3m from the winner, she can get handy to issue the challenge.

ASHLEYS BLUE CHIP (10) is a last start Newcastle winner when finishing over the top of them at the end of the 2030m trip. With the right cart into the contest, she can fill the minors.

ROBYN X (8) was sent forward to work outside the leader last time from gate 6 and was fighting hard until the closing stages. An economical trip will boost her chances here.

SELECTIONS: YUKON BE SERIOUS (1), RACING PAULA (4), ASHLEYS BLUE CHIP (10), ROBYN X (8)
SUGGESTED BET: YUKON BE SERIOUS (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

While there is plenty of talent lining up, it does look to be a showdown between 4YO CHYNCHILLA (10) and the 3YO filly AARDIE B MIKI (6). Their only meeting was on Sept 21 when the draw favoured the older mare, and she blitzed them with 17m to spare on the line in a 51.1 mile. Winning both since that win, she will need to chase here, but it is hard to deny her form.

AARDIE B MIKI (6) draws wide but can look to hold the advantage over CHYNCHILLA by staying in front of her and pressing forward. A Victorian Oaks heat winner after her 2nd, she was then given no luck in the Final. This will be a great battle and could generate plenty of sparks.

JESEEKA (1) did the best of the chaser here two starts back to hold down the silver behind CHYNCHILLA. Frankling that with a dictating win at the 2138 last start, she has the gate to feature.

JUNGLE BABY (2) is back in the main draw after four runs on ODM embargo. Strong to the line in successive starts prior to her latest outing, she can be in the mix here.

SELECTIONS: CHYNCHILLA (10), ARRDIE B MIKI (6), JESEEKA (1), JUNGLE BABY (2)
SUGGESTED BET: CHYNCHILLA (10) to win

RACE NINE

Unplaced in a Peak of The Creek heat here on Tuesday, SHARDS MATRIX (3) will line up here still chasing his first Qld victory. Under 2m from CHICAGO BART when resuming, he was then just a half-head away second up when nabbed up the passing lane. He can get handy to stake a claim.

MONTGOMERY BURNS (9) has placed in his past three starts, the latest when pressing to the front over the 2138 from outside the second line. Gripping on in the stretch, he was collared to be just a neck from the winner. Strong to the line from gate 6 the start prior, he can challenge.

GLENEAGLE VEE CEE (4) has successive wins against his name, flying under the radar on each occasion to land the win at odds. A PB mile form the front last start, he can chase the threepeat.

TEDDY TURPIN (10) tackled a 70Final last start and was closing it out in good order when 5m from the dictating winner MYNAMESEVAN. Forced to sit parked from gate 7 two starts back, he can feature here.

SELECTIONS: SHARDS MATRIX (3), MONTGOMERY BURNS (9), GLENEAGLE VEE CEE (4), TEDDY TURPIN (10)
SUGGESTED BET: SHARDS MATRIX (3) to win
