Race 1:
OVERVIEW: SOHO FURY (11) is a 2yo resuming against the older horses but has shown good ability and has trialled well leading into this. Expect a big showing fresh. FOLLOWTHEACE (13) is lightly raced pacer with loads of ability but has his share of quirks. MAJOR BERT (12) consistent pacer racing well and will be finishing off nicely here along with TWISTING BY (9) whilst IM JIMMY JONES (5) can take up a forward position and be handy. BETTORSWEETVICTORY (8) is going well but will need some luck from inside the second row draw.

OVERVIEW: SURFSUP TIGERPIE (5) finished off powerfully to win last start and from the front line draw expect another big showing. SETTEBELLO (3) is bursting to win another race but hasn’t had things go his way. One of the main chances here. Experienced pacer LOVE INA CHEVY (7) is still racing with great zest and can run well again here. LONESTAR LAD (9) KHANS CREED (10) and THE IRON DUKE (4) all have good ability and are amongst the chances and must be included as place and first four hopes.

I OF THE HURRIKANE (2) should appreciate the favourable draw and looks suited here. Expect a forward showing along with OUR REBEL YELL (6) whilst LADY IN LINE (1) can improve from the pole position whilst SOMEBEACHDREAMIN (7) has claims despite the wide draw.

OVERVIEW: SEATHESTARS (10) superbly bred youngster that shows good ability at the trials and expect a strong showing at his race debut. CAPTAIN MOORE (9) does have the advantage of the race experience and might appreciate a second row draw to settle better. Expect a forward showing. TEXAN BRANACH (5) NSW visitor that is bred to show speed and should be in this for a long way. Both MELFIELDSORYT (7) and SANDSTING (8) have been well prepared for their race debut and show promise at the trials but face awkward draws. Can run well. NEON TIGER (11) OHANA BY THE SEA (2) and EMJAY JAZZ (1) have claims.

OVERVIEW: MISS FRANCENE (7) resumes from a spell and does possess her share of quirks but loads of ability. Expect a big showing fresh. CHINSKI (3) speedy type that can race handy and will be in it for a long way. BROTHER JOSEPH (1) fitter from recent racing and was finishing off late last start and can keep improving. MIPERSONALJET (8) started favourite last start and draws to get a soft trip here and should be running home late. Both BALTIC SPIRIT (5) and AT THE DISTANCE (6) can race handy and are amongst the chances.

OVERVIEW: TA KALCHE (2) is a 6yo having his first race start but has been showing ability at the trials and expect a forward showing at his race debut. ALAMO (3) has enjoyed more race experience than most of these and hasn’t been far away and expect a good showing. HEY GIGI (11) did things wrong at her race debut and sustained a long run from well back last start. Improving type with ability and can run well. HELLO SWEETHEART (5) honest type that has claims from a front line draw. KYRGIOS (6) heavily backed last start and did plenty of work. Can race forward and might strip fitter. Definite chance. REINDER (8) HERE COMES LENNY (9) MISS MAGIK (7) all finished off well in recent starts but have tricky draws to overcome here but are sure to be doing their best work late and must be respected and can’t be dismissed.

MIDNIGHT AVENGER (5) can race in a forward position and must be respected. WHATS THE TEA (7) MACHO MAORI (9) MASSIF CENTRAL (8) all have ability and are amongst the chances.

SWEET MAORI MISS (4) speedy mare that will race in a forward position and can give a sight. KAOTIC FLAIR (11) is racing well and will be running home strongly. Both PRETTY PENNY MAORI (5) and FREMARKS PEGGY (2) should appreciate the front line draws and be in this for a long way.

INDI AIR TONIGHT (3) does have early speed and can race handy and should be in this for a long way along with INTO THE HARKNESS (1) that strikes her most suitable race in recent times and would not surprise. AIM TO PLEASE (6) excellent win first up having showed promise at the trials and will be storming home again and must be respected.
