RACE 1 – RESTREPO @ TIPPERARY EQUINE LADYSHIP PACE – 1720 metres

 

FROZEN JEWEL– Pre-race swab sampled. Driver D Hewitt was issued with a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that near the 200 metres he shifted the fillyout when not clear of JUSTROLLINGAROUND which was inconvenienced.

HOLY CAMP CAPRHYSE– Post-race swab sampled.

POM PAY – Unable to obtain a clear run in the home straight.

FAIRE LA FETE– Raced roughly during the score-up. Broke gait free of interference rounding the first turn, for which a warning was issued.

GOLDEN ZARA – Checked approaching the 1400 metres when FAIRE LA FETE broke gait.

 

RACE 2 – YOUNG WORKWEAR PACE – 1720 metres

 

WARRAWEE CRUZIN – Broke gait during the score-up and a false start was declared, for which a warning was issued. Tightened for room when racing to the inside of LA MINACCIA leaving the 400 metres and contacted a number of marker pegs. Tired over the concluding stages of the race.

LA MINACCIA – Hung-in away from SHELDON ROCK leaving the 400 metres.

SHAVMIA – Broke gait free of interference rounding the turn approaching the 600 metres and fell, given the circumstances connections were advised that it would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial. A Veterinary examination of the colt did not reveal any significant abnormalities. Driver M Turnbull was examined by the on-course paramedics and cleared to fulfil his remaining engagements.

BURRABADINE DANCER – Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take over the lead from WARRAWEE CRUZIN near the 1400 metres.

SHELDON ROCK – Inconvenienced approaching the 600 metres when SHAVMIA fell. Hung-in leaving the 400 metres.

LEXY CAN BERN – Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take up the position outside the leader leaving the 1400 metres.

MAJOR MONTY NZ – Pulled hard during the score-up at the second attempt to start the race and was out of position at the start. Inconvenienced approaching the 600 metres when SHAVMIA fell.

TACKAS PRINCESS– Post-race swab sampled.

LIGHT UP BILLY– Pre-race swab sampled. Inconvenienced approaching the 600 metres when SHAVMIA fell.

 

RACE 3 – TRIMECH PACE – 2100 metres

 

LIFE GETS BETTER – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

NINA SIMONE NZ– Post-race swab sampled.

HIGH QUEST – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages of the race.

MAJORESS JUJON – Unable to obtain a clear run in the home straight.

ROLL ALONG JANE– Pre-race swab sampled. Unable to obtain a clear run in the home straight.

NEPTUNES WARRIOR – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

 

RACE 4 – ARMA INSURANCE BROKERS PACE – 1720 metres

 

ISLAND BLISS– Checked and broke gait rounding the first turn when THEULTIMATE broke gait.

STREAMLINER– Pre-race swab sampled. Checked and broke gait rounding the first turn when THEULTIMATE broke gait.

THEULTIMATE – Broke gait free of interference rounding the first turn approaching the 1400 metres, for which a warning was issued. Then raced three wide until working forward to obtain the position outside the leader near the 1200 metres. Continued to work forward to take over the lead from DREAM COPY approaching the 1000 metres.

BILLYSBREDONE– Checked rounding the first turn when THEULTIMATE broke gait. Inconvenienced leaving the 600 metres behind DREAM COPY when the pace eased.

BOMANI– Inconvenienced rounding the first turn when THEULTIMATE broke gait. Post-race swab sampled.

CRIME DONT PAY – Ms A Day was a late declaration as the Driver of the gelding due to Ms M Hawke being ill. Ms M Hawke will be required to provide a medical clearance prior to her next race drive. Checked from the back of BILLYSBREDONE and raced roughly leaving the 600 metres when that runner was inconvenienced.

KILLARA MISSILE– Inconvenienced rounding the first turn when THEULTIMATE broke gait. Made a three wide mid race move to take over the position outside the leader near the 1000 metres. Placed back in the draw for future mobile start races.

 

RACE 5 – HILLTOPS EQUINE CENTRE PACE – 1720 metres

 

CHUBBS– Pre-race swab sampled.

DINOSAURUS REX– Shifted out near the 400 metres, as a result MCDREAMY GUY was inconvenienced. Driver G Betts was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in similar circumstances in future.

HUMMING TOP– Post-race swab sampled.

MCDREAMY GUY – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it was having its first race start in over 12 months, and cleared to start. Inconvenienced near the 400 metres when DINOSAURUS REX shifted out.

CRIME TIME – Ms A Day was a late declaration as the Driver of the gelding due to Ms M Hawke being ill.

 

RACE 6 – GLEN MIA SADDLERY PACE – 1720 metres

 

CONROD KENZE– Pre-race swab sampled. Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start.

MENDOZA LASS – Very fractious during the early part of the score-up and a false start was declared, for which a warning was issued. Held up for clear running until near the 50 metres.

BETTARUN– Broke gait after the start, given the gelding’s record connections were advised that it would be placed outside the draw for future mobile start races. Broke gait free of interference leaving the 1400 metres, given the gelding’s record connections were advised that it would be stood down from racing for a period of 14 days and would be required to perform 2 re-qualifying trials.

GRINFORAWIN– Worked forward to take over the lead from MENDOZA LASS near the 1400 metres.

DIEU LE VUET– Post-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 7 – T & D PRODUCE MAIDEN PACE – 1720 metres

 

SHES AN ARTIST – Locked wheels with REASON TO LAUGH near the 200 metres and was inconvenienced.

LA BOMBA– Post-race swab sampled.

JOE POWELL NZ– Checked from the back of LA BOMBA and broke gait leaving the 1600 metres when attempting to obtain the position on the back of that runner as it commenced to ease in an attempt to obtain the position behind the leader.

TULHURST ROCKNROLL– Pre-race swab sampled.

REASON TO LAUGH – Hung-in marginally and locked wheels with SHES AN ARTIST near the 200 metres, and was inconvenienced.

JUST CALL ME HARRY– Broke gait during latter part of the score-up and was out of position at the start, for which a warning was issued. Inconvenienced leaving the 1600 metres when JOE POWELL NZ broke gait.

RARIFIED MAN – Checked during the latter part of the score-up when JUST CALL ME HARRY broke gait and was out of position at the start. Prior to the all-clear being given, Stewards reviewed the footage of the start and subsequently acting under Rule 15(t) declared the gelding a non-runner as they were of the view that it had been denied the opportunity of a fair start. RARIFIED MAN was officially withdrawn at 9.01pm. Inconvenienced leaving the 1600 metres when JOE POWELL NZ broke gait.

 

RACE 8 – THE TAB APP MAIDEN PACE – 1720 metres

 

GLOSSA– Pre-race swab sampled. Hung-out rounding the first turn. Broke gait free of interference rounding the turn approaching the 600 metres, given it was the mare’s first race start connections were advised that it would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial.

MILLIE THE FILLIE– Post-race swab sampled.

BARKWAY MARGARET– Raced roughly leaving the 1600 metres, hung-in resulting in its sulky being contacted by ERNESTO, for which a warning was issued. Checked approaching the 600 metres when GLOSSA broke gait.

WHAT A TEAM – Inconvenienced leaving the 1600 metres when BARKWAY MARGARET raced roughly. Inconvenienced approaching the 600 metres when GLOSSA broke gait.

GOLDEN REASON – Broke gait after the start for which a warning was issued.

BLITZEM BENNY – Raced roughly after the start for which a warning was issued.

TULHURST SHARK – Hung-out during the score-up and was out of position at the start, as it was just the gelding’s third race start,  connections were advised it would be placed on its last chance in the draw. Hung-out near the 1200 metres. Made a three wide mid race move to take over the position outside the leader leaving the 800 metres. Hung-in leaving the 800 metres and again approaching the 600 metres, connections were advised the gelding would be placed on its last chance to race truly.

ERNESTO – Contacted the sulky wheel of BARKWAY MARGARET leaving the 1600 metres, when tightened for room to the inside of that runner when it hung-in.

SHADOWS STAR – Checked approaching the 600 metres when GLOSSA broke gait.
