Race 1 - CALIBRE CIVIL MAIDEN PACE          1850M

Melton Schleger – Broke gait on the first turn after the start. Given the horse's previous record in this regard the gelding will be placed on its last chance to race truly.

Yella - Raced roughly during the score up. Hung in when leading resulting in the sulky contacting marker posts.  A warning was issued.

Celestine NZ - Broke gait on the first turn after the start when challenging for the lead. Given the horse's previous record in this regard the filly will be placed on its last chance to race truly.

Race 2 – ADVANCED HEAVY VEHICLE DRIVER TRAINING PACE            1850M

Takidah – Driver suspended causing interference.

Smoking Zak – Driver queried re: tactics.

Many Delights - Caught racing wide for the majority of the event.

Todays Hero - Caught racing wide for the majority of the event. Inconvenienced on home turn to receive the bell.

Office Bad Boy – Checked and broke in front straight on the final occasion when Takidah shifted out.

Dont Yoube Naughty – Broke gait in the early stages and checked and broke in front straight on the final occasion. Was examined by the veterinary surgeon following the event after sustaining a minor injury to its nearside foreleg in the incident in the straight on the final occasion.

Pink River Diamond - After satisfying QRIC requirements the horse will be placed back in the draw in mobile events.

General: The driver’s licence of Clint Sneddon (Takidah) was suspended for 12 days after being found guilty of the contravention of AHR 163(1)(a)(iii) for allowing Takidah to shift out in the front straight in the run to the finish which caused interference to Office Bad Boy (Zac Chappenden) and Don’t Yoube Naughty (Leonard Cain).

Driver Anna Payne was questioned regarding the driving tactics adopted on Smoking Zak ($19.00) in particular the decision to race the horse outside of the leader rather than take a trail on Todays Hero ($1.50) which was racing in a three wide position to the outside Smoking Zak in the early stages of the event. Stewards after careful consideration of the explanation provided by Mr Payne and the evidence of Ricky Gordon, trainer of Smoking Zac considered that whilst Miss Payne may have erred in regard to her tactics stewards could not be comfortably satisfied to the requisite standard that such tactics would deem Miss Payne in breach of the rules.

Dallas Wilkins (Mystical Charm) was reprimanded for shifting ground on the turn into the front straight to receive the bell which momentarily inconvenienced Todays Hero forcing that horse wide for a short distance. (AHR.163(1)(b)(ii))

Race 3 - TRAFFEX AUSTRALIA PACE 1850M

Hurrikane King – Shifted in and contacted a marker post in the early stages of the event. Found to have bled during the race. Acting under the provision of AHR. 101 Hurrikane King was stood down for 3 months plus a veterinary certificate of clearance and the gelding must trial satisfactorily before again racing.

Tegan Lee - Driver fined for allowing sulky to shift in contacting a marker peg home turn.

Beef City Starzzz - Contacted a marker peg when racing on restricted room during the first lap.

Schooby - Raced wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside of the leader.

Left To Rocknroll - Dislodged its nearside knee boot during the event.

General: Brendan Barnes (Tegan Lee) was fined $100 for being careless in allowing the sulky to shift in and contact a marker post on the home turn. (AHR163(1)(c))

Race 4 - CIVFORCE TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PACE   1850M

Always At Night - Checked and broke on the first turn when Mammals Destiny broke gait.

Mammals Destiny - Hung out and contacted sulky of Mollidor when racing in restricted room on the first turn becoming unbalanced and broke gait.

Melton Xmas Girl - Severely checked on the turn into the front straight on the final occasion when Jaydes Terror broke gait.

Mollidor - Gave ground over the final 500 m after racing outside of the leader from majority of the event.

Jaydes Terror - Broke gait on the turn into the front straight on the final occasion. Given the horse's previous record in this regard the gelding will be placed on its last chance to race truly.

Mustang Dude - Inconvenienced when caught behind the tiring Mollidor in the back straight on the final occasion.

Whata Challenge - Checked and broke on the first turn when Mammals Destiny broke gait. Severely checked on the turn into the front straight on the final occasion when Jaydes Terror broke gait.

Night Shadow - Broke gait on the turn out of the back straight on the first occasion and again on the final occasion. After review of the gelding’s previous record Night Shadow was stood down until it trials satisfactorily on two consecutive occasions.

General: Stewards inquired into the reason for Mammals Destiny (Lane Dwyer) breaking gait when racing to the inside of Mollidor (Amanda Payne) on the turn out of the back straight on the first occasion. It was established that whilst Mollidor was racing in close proximity to Mammals Destiny it contributed to the incident by hanging out. Stewards noted the circumstances regarding the incident but reminded Amanda Payne of her obligations under the rules to allow sufficient clearance to runners on her inside on the first turn.

Race 5 – OAKWOOD CAPITAL GOLDSTRIKE SERIES CONSOLATION            2200M

My Ultimate Heston - Gave ground over the final 400 m of the event.

Chanceless Century - Galloped at the start. As previous warnings had been issued Chanceless Century will be drawn wide in future standing start events. Inconvenienced when caught behind the tiring My Ultimate Heston in the back straight on the final occasion.

Gracenava - Hung out rounding the home turn.

Strutty - Raced roughly in the early stages of the event. Broke gait near the 800 m. Given the horse's previous record in this regard the gelding will be placed on its last chance to race truly.

Keayang Tara - Galloped at the start. A warning was issued.

Mister Quirk - Inconvenienced near the 800 m when Strutty broke gait.

Goelitz - Galloped at the start. The gelding will be placed on its last chance in the draw.

Johnson Step NZ - Inconvenienced near the 800 m when Strutty broke gait.

Mighty Flying Deal NZ - The gelding will continue to be drawn wide in standing start events after galloping start.

Race 6 - TRAFQUIP PLANT HIRE PACE          1850M

Circle Line – After leading the race gave ground over the final 600 m of the event up. An examination by the veterinarian subsequent to the race found no abnormalities at time of examination.

Batman Bart – Was caught wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside of the leader.

Rollonx– Was caught wide in the early stages of the event before working forward initially to the position outside of the leader.

Chakana - Was back from its allocated position at the start. A warning was issued.

Highly Respected - Broke gait in the early stages of the score up and as such will continue to be drawn wide future mobile events.

Race 7 - OAKWOOD CAPITAL GOLDSTRIKE SERIES FINAL  2200M

Mongolian Conqueror NZ - Galloped out and hung in after the start. The gelding will be placed on its last chance in the draw,

Altana Blue - Broke gait near the 800. Given the horse's previous record in this regard the gelding will be placed on its last chance to race truly.

Hit The Track - Galloped at the start. A warning was issued.

One Last Roll - Galloped at the start. A warning was issued.

Mydadsaid - Was examined by the veterinary surgeon following its preliminary after concerns were raised regarding the action of the gelding resulting in a delay to the start of the race. After examination the gelding was clear to start. Raced wide over the final 800 m of the event.

Race 8 – OSBORNE GROUP EARTHMOVING PACE    2200M

La Sabina NZ - Inclined to hang out when leading.

My Ultimate Rudi - Broke gait on the turn out of the front straight near the 600 m. Given the horse's good record in this regard the gelding will be placed on its last chance to race truly.

Rocknroll Max NZ - Raced roughly in the early stages of the event.

Glenledi Commander NZ - race wide over the final 800 m.

Race 9 – IH CAPITAL PACE     1850M

Sir Boston - Caught racing wide in the early stages before being restrained to a trailing position at the rear of the field.

Artistic Saint - Caught racing four-wide in the early stages before being restrained to a trailing position at the rear of the field.

Geldof - Broke gait in the early stages of the score up. A warning was issued. Shifted in and contacted a marker peg during the first lap.

Square Dealer NZ - Held up for clear running rounding the home turn.
