The race meeting was abandoned subsequent to Race 4 due the poor track condition subsequent to the efforts of track management to take remedial action after heavy rain fell during the meeting. As well, drivers reported poor visibility and the mobile barrier was unable to gain traction when tested.
Race 1 - WESTERN TROTTERS 0 TO 4 WIN HANDICAP 2200M SS
Maywyns Jubilee was badly away – a warning was issued. Broke free of interference near the 1800 metres – a warning was issued.
Panda Fooey hung in and contacted a marker peg on the final turn – a warning was issued.
Kyvalley Archer broke free of interference near the 400 metres – a warning was issued.
Getoverrover broke free of interference near the 350 metres – having considered its previous record Stewards stood down the gelding from racing until its completion of a satisfactory requalifying trial.
Im A Gypsy Queen broke free of interference near the 1300 metres – a warning was issued.
Race 2 – GREEN VENUE TROTTERS RATING HANDICAP 2200M SS
Supplanter hung in slightly on the final turn (a warning was issued for hanging) and when corrected by its driver contacted the inside sulky wheel of the runner to its outside and broke stride – no action taken.
Aurora surrendered the lead early.
Bun In The Oven NZ galloped out – a warning was issued. Broke free of interference near the 1200 metres – a warning was issued.
The Reaper worked forward to the lead near the 1750 metres.
Milly An Eyre NZ became unbalanced on the final turn and broke stride subsequent to its inside sulky wheel being contacted by the runner to its inside – no action taken.
Burkhardt NZ broke free of interference near the 1800 metres – placed on its last chance to trace truly.
En Masse NZ beaten in excess of 100 metres – placed on its last chance to race competitively - Stewards took into account the rain affected track.
Gleneagle Reign beaten in excess of 100 metres – placed on its last chance to race competitively - Stewards took into account the rain affected track.
Race 3 - GOLDBET NEW REWARDS MAIDEN PACE 1850M
Light Up Lovey raced wide early whilst being restrained to the rear of the field.
Creedence raced wide for the first 400 whilst being restrained to the rear of the field. Commenced to give ground shortly thereafter eventually being beaten in excess of 136 metres. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Having considered the rain affected track Stewards placed the gelding on its last chance to race competitively.
Race 4 - THANKS JANET PACE 1850M
It Aint Royal raced three wide for the first 350 metres prior to being restrained to a one out one back position.
Mustang Dude raced four wide prior to being restrained to a one out three back position.
Saint Louis Beat raced very wide early whilst being restrained to the rear of the field.

Our Little Skipper broke free of interference with two laps to travel – placed on its last chance to race truly.
