Supplementary report:

            Due to the expected elevated temperatures Stewards permitted the horses direct from stable to track.

   

Race 1: SHAWN GRIMSEY / ALEX CAIN MAIDEN PACE          1850M

LOOKUPINTOTHESKY – Broke gait as the start was being effected and will be drawn wide in future mobile events for a minimum of two (2) consecutive successful starts.

ROCKNROLL KNIGHT – Caught wide in the early stages of the event before being restrained to a rearward position.

HAPPY HOUR TIME– Failed to gain clear running in the front straight in the run to the finish.

Ranger Ron – Had a tenancy to shift out in the back straight in the final lap.

ALONG THE WAY- Inconvenienced at the start when Lookuptothesky broke gait. Raced ungenerously in the back straight in the first lap when the tempo into the one (1) wide line eased moderately.

General:         

Driver Gary Whitaker (Ranger Ron) had his licence suspended for fourteen (14) days commencing midnight 7th December 2025, for utilising the whip in an unapproved manner in the front straight in the run to the finish. Stewards considered the manner exceeded a flicking and wrist action (AHRR156(2)a).           

Race 2: GOLDBET BONUS BETS 0 TO 2 WINS PACE              1850M

TAKIDAH – Gave ground in the back straight in the final lap and beaten in excess of 50 metres. Stewards took into account the fast time for the class of horse and no further action was implemented. 

VIKANDER  - Caught four (4) wide early before working forward to lead the one (1) wide line at the winning post with two (2) laps remaining. Re-Included in the mobile draw after completing the minimum Q.R.I.C. policy requirements.

FIRST FOUR LETTERS – Shifted in and contacted marker pegs on the turn out of the front straight and turn into the back straight in the first lap. A warning was placed against the mare.

Race 3: AARON DUNN / BRENDAN BARNES PACE                1850M

ROYAL WINKLE – Led the one (1) wide line after the start until securing cover on the turn out of the front straight in the first lap.

GRACENAVA  - Pulled hard in the score up.

Race 4: MARBURG GOLD TROTTERS CHRISTMAS CUP                       2200M

DICKO DIXON – Slow to begin at the start. Broke gait in the back straight in the first lap. A last chance to race truly was placed on the gelding.

MIRA SATURN – Broke gait on the turn out of the front straight the second (2nd) lap. Based on previous offences the mare will be required to complete two (2) consecutive successful trials before racing again.

CARPOPHORUS- Slowly away and will continue to be drawn wide in future standing start events.

ILLUSORY FEAT– Broke gait in the back straight in the final lap. A warning was issued.

MILLY AN EYRE NZ– Broke gait on the tun out of the front straight in the final lap. A warning was issued. 

Race 5: GOLDBET MAJOR SPONSOR PACE                       1850M

            This race was declared a no race when Batman Bart broke gait in the back straight in the second (2nd) lap which resulted in Beyonski (Layne Dwyer) contacting the sulky and falling and Willroby (Brendan Barnes) being severely checked and all other runners being checked to varying degrees.

All horses were inspected by the veterinary surgeon prior to the re-run of this event. Beyonski was declared a late scratching due to abrasions received in the fall to the off-side head region and near-side knee and declared ineligible to start for a period of fourteen (14) days. All other runners were declared fit to start.

Driver Layne Dwyer Beyonski) was inspected by on-course ambulance officers. Mr. Dwyer was replaced for the remainder of his upcoming drives for the day. A medical certificate will be required before driving again.

COULD IT BE ME– Caught wide early and restrained to the rear of the field.  

GHOST TRAIN  - Led up the three (3) wide line from the bell. Cast a plate during the run which may have placed the horse at a disadvantage.

General:          Batman Bart which galloped entering the back straight was stood down pending a satisfactory trial.

Following the re-run of Race 5. Time adjustments to the ensuing races were adjusted as follows:

Race 6. 3.32 pm            Race 7. 3.57 pm           Race 8. 4.23 pm            Race 9.4.49 pm

Race 6: MARBURG CHRISTMAS PARTY HERE DECEMBER 21 PACE                      1850M

MY ULTIMATE RUDI- Led the one (1) wide line early before attaining cover at the winning post with two (2) laps remaining. 

MAJOR LINCOLN – Caught wide in the early stages of the event before leading the one (1) wide line at the winning post with two (2) laps remaining.

General:          A late driver change on Highway Writer to Danielle McMullen due to Layne Dwyer be indisposed.

Race 7: VALE RON KNACK PACE                    1850M

MUCHO GUAPA – Driver fined unapproved whip action.

THE BLACK FOX– Unsuccessful challenge early for the position outside the leader before being restrained to the rear of the field. 

DASHNDOT – Worked forward start from second line to lead the one (1) wide line.

General:           A late driving change for Rollonx to Gary Bond was approved due to Layne Dwyer being indisposed.

Driver Billy Borg (Mucho Guapo) was fined $200 for in the score up crossing the reins and applying the whip with a free hand prior to the start. (AHRR 156(2)b)

 

            Driver Zac Chappenden (Outer Change) was fined $200 for applying the whip in a continuous             in the front straight in the run to the finish. (AHRR 156(3)).

Race 8: BARASTOC CHRISTMAS CUP                          2200M

KINGSBURY – Withstood early challenge for the lead from Mullum Doc.

MULLUM DOC – Unsuccessful challenge for the early lead before being restrained to a trailing position behind Kingsbury.

LITTLEMICKEY – Led the one (1) wide line for the majority of the event. 

BETTOR CHEER NZ– Three wide with a trail from the front straight to get the bell behind Shereacts.  

ART OF ROCK – Led the three (3) wide line up in the front straight to get the bell.

SHEREACTS – Three wide with a trail from the front straight to get the bell.

General:         

A late driving change for Kingsbury to Luke Sutherland was approved due to Layne Dwyer being indisposed.

Race 9: GOLDBET MULTI BET PACE (SKY 1)             1850M

BRIAN CHRISTOPHER NZ – Sustained a flat tyre in the back straight in the final lap when shifting wider with tyre fouling and retired from the event.

General:          Stewards approved a late driving change on One Last Roll to Damon Watson as nominated driver Layne Dwyer was indisposed.
