Race 1 - BUTCHER IN THE PARK 2 WINS PACE          1850M

SPICE BOY which was having its first race start over six (6) months was inspected by the veterinarian and passed fit to start. Had a tendency to hang out during the score up. Dropped a off fore knee boot in the run which may of placed the horse at some disadvantage. Spice Boy gave ground from the turn out of the front straight in the final lap to be beaten in excess of 85 metres and was placed on its last chance to race competitively.

LITTLEMICKEY commenced a three (3) wide run in the front straight with a lap remaining. 

Race 2 – BARASTOC / MARBURG CHRISTMAS CUP HEAT 1 1850M

SHES CLASSY NZ led the three (3) wide line up in the front straight with one (1) lap remaining.

GHOST TRAIN three (3) wide with a trail from the front straight with a lap remaining.

SAINT LOUIS BEAT three (3) wide with a trail from the front straight with a lap remaining.

Race 3 - BARASTOC / MARBURG CHRISTMAS CUP HEAT 2  1850M

OLD ENGLISH gave considerable ground in the final lap to be beaten in excess of 83 metres. A last chance to race competitively was placed on the gelding.

MAJORMISS inconvenienced in the back straight in the final lap when Old English gave ground quickly.

MY SECRET BEACH was inspected by the course veterinarian post-race who reported the gelding was sore in the off foreleg. Acting on the veterinary recommendation My Secret Beach was stood down for fourteen (14) days and a veterinary certificate of soundness will be required before racing again.

BUN IN THE OVEN NZ (TR) broke in the score up and will continue to be drawn wide in future mobile events.

Race 4 - BARASTOC / MARBURG CHRISTMAS CUP HEAT 3  1850M

SHAKATIE crossed at the start before challenging and gaining the lead entering the back straight in the first lap.

DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN gate speed tp lead then challenged in the early and middle stages before taking a trail on Shakatie entering the back straight in the first lap.

MILLY AN EYRE NZ (TR) out of position start and will continue to be drawn wide in future mobile events.

Race 5 – GOLDBET MONEY BACK PROMOS PACE    1850M

IDEAL TIGER NZ failed to obtain a clear run I the run to the finish and not fully tested.

ROYAL STUDLEIGH worked forward at start to lead the one (1) wide line with two (2) laps to go.

Race 6 - GOLDBET SUPER BOOSTS PACE     1850M

CRIME TIME worked to hold the lead in the early stages before being crossed on the turn out of the front straight with two (2) laps remaining. 

ROCCO VARIETY gate speed early and unable to cross then eased to obtain cover.

OUR DOLLY three (3) wide early before leading the one (1) wide line.

GELDOF caught four (4) wide in the early stages before working forward to lead at the winning post with two (2) laps remaining.

General:          Driver L. Dwyer (Geldof) was questioned regarding the driving tactics adopted in the early stages of the event. Mr. Dwyer advised that he was driving to instructions and initially considered that Rocco Variety was going to cross Crime Time and that Our Dolly held the one (1) wide line that there was insufficient room to ease into a trailing position behind Our Dolly. Consequently, Mr. Dwyer elected to push forward to cross to the lead with two (2) laps remaining. Geldof gave ground over the final lap to be beaten metres. A veterinary inspection post-race failed to reveal any abnormalities. After considering the evidence the explanation was noted.

Race 7 - GOLDBET REWARDS PORTAL PACE           2200M

JAY TEE TYRON NZ hung in multiple times when leading the one wide line throughout.

ROCKNROLL MAX NZ caught wide early and restrained to the rear.

KEAYANG TARA caught wide early and restrained to the rear of the field.

ANTETOKOUNMPO led up the three (3) wide line in the front straight to get the bell.

Race 8 – GOLDBET 24/7 LIVE CHAT PACE     1850M

KELLOSHIEL broke gait on the turn into the front straight in the first lap. A last chance to race truly was placed against the mare.
