Trainers with multiple horses engaged in any given race were questioned as to the intended driving tactics to be adopted

RACE 1 –RAFFERTY'S TAVERN PICK 5 PACE       (1680M MS)

MIKI STEAMED HOME – Subject to a pre-race blood sample. When queried regarding the performance driver David Drury stated he was still learning about the gelding as this was the second start under his care. Also, the gelding pulled hard during the preliminary giving him concerns about being driven with cover during the race then further added Miki Steamed Home may not have backed up after recently racing (19 November) at Mt Gambier.

EASTBRO ADELE – Gave ground near the 500m inconveniencing Ynobe Dakota.

YNOBE DAKOTA – Inconvenienced near the 500m when Eastbro Adele gave ground.

TIME TO TORQUE – Subject to a post-race swab sample.

METRO MEMORY – The race book failed to show Luke Dunne as the driver.

 

RACE 2 – AJM AUTOMOTIVE CENTRE PACE         (2180M MS)

REMI LOU – Subject to a pre-race blood sample.

GOODTIME LIBBY – Driver Josh Duggan was cautioned for allowing his drive to shift ground approaching the 1300m causing Keayang Wasabi to momentarily race wider.

KEAYANG WASABI – Subject to a post-race swab sample. Inconvenienced near the 1300m when Goodtime Libby was shifted to a three wide position.

 

RACE 3 – BRANDT TERANG PACE               (2180M MS)

ROCKIN CHARMER – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 97m into 10th place. Due to being place on its last chance to race competitively at Ararat 13 October 2024 the gelding will be stood down until the completion of one satisfactory trial. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

IMAWINGATE – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 30m into 9th place.

CREATIVE LAD – Due to the gelding having competed in more than 200 races, was examined by the veterinarian before and after the race in accordance with HRV policy which revealed no apparent abnormalities.

MAJOR DRAMA – Subject to a post-race swab sample.

MOTANA PRIDE – The race book failed to show Luke Dunne as the driver.

 

RACE 4 – TERANG CO-OP CONVENIENTLY YOURS PACE          (1680M MS)

CARRAMAR SOLOMONA – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 40m into 9th place.

DANCE AWAY – Held up for a clear run until approaching 200m. Inconvenienced near the 150m when Ultimate Vinny shifted out marginally.

ROADMASTER – Driver Matthew Craven was spoken to advisedly regarding his whip action in the home straight.

ULTIMATE VINNY – Shifted out near the 150m inconveniencing Dance Away. A warning was issued.

 

RACE 5 – DIRECTWEAR - WORKWEAR SPECIALISTS PACE (2180M MS)

GUARANTEED TROUBLE – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 57m into 10th place. A warning was issued.

SMOKIN STREPO – Inconvenienced near the 400m when Heavy Metal Hammer tired.

CHEYS ANGEL – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 48m into 9th place. When queried about the performance Driver Matthew Craven stated he was slightly disappointed with the filly’s performance and he believed she may not have backed up after competing at Ballarat (21 November 2024). A post-race veterinary examination failed to find any abnormalities.

HEAVY METAL HAMMER – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 48m into 9th place. When queried about the performance Driver David Drury stated he was disappointed with the performance and believes the gelding did not back up after racing at Mt Gambier (19 November 2024) and will be given an easy week in an effort to freshen the gelding. A post-race veterinary examination failed to find any abnormalities. Heavy Metal Hammer will be placed on its last chance to race competitively.

FAMOUS LABEL – Inconvenienenced near the 500m when Heavy Metal Hammer began to tire.

 

RACE 6 – KEAYANG ZAHARA YOU BEAUTY TROT          (1680M MS)

PERSEVERANCE – Trainer Jonathon O’Connor was cautioned for failing to notify the intended driving tactics with multiple horses engaged. 

FLING IT RAINBOW – Subject to a pre-race blood sample.

WISTFULL LADY – Held up for a clear run until approaching 200m.

 

RACE 7 –VALE DICK LEE 3YO & OLDER MAIDEN TROT           (2180M MS)

KYVALLEY MUCKLEBAR – Raced roughly after the start a warning was issued. Galloped clear of interference near the 200m.

LOOKAT SPUNKY TROT – Was fractious, then galloped clear of interference during the early stages of the score up. Was out of position at the start. Will be placed outside the mobile barrier draw. The gelding then trailed the field.

BILLYSOPHIA – Pulled hard during the middle stages before tiring to be beaten 76m into 6th place. Due to being stood down for one trial at Maryborough 25 October 2024 the filly will be stood down until the completion of one satisfactory trial and for a period of 10 days.

MY MOTHER SAID – Galloped clear of interference after the start. Will be placed outside the mobile barrier draw.

RASENGAN – Galloped clear of interference after the start. Will continue to be placed outside the mobile barrier draw. The gelding then trailed the field.

 

RACE 8 – VHRC 3YO & OLDER MAIDEN PACE                 (1680M MS)

SECOND EDITION – Raced roughly after the start a warning was issued. Pulled hard during the middle stages before tiring to be beaten 68m into 8th place. Due to a warning being placed on the gelding for tiring at Melton 18 October 2024 the gelding was placed on its last chance to race competitively.

JENSVILLE – Subject to a post-race swab sample.

MAXY BOMBER – The race book failed to show Luke Dunne as the driver.

CINCINNATI – Held up for a clear run until approaching 200m.

 

RACE 9 – VHRC 3YO & OLDER MAIDEN PACE                 (1680M MS)

BARBADOS ROSE – Raced roughly after the start then galloped clear of interference shortly thereafter. Will be placed outside the mobile barrier draw. The mare then trailed the field.

IM THE WILD ONE – Pulled hard during the middle stages. Driver Brent Murphy was cautioned for allowing his drive to shift ground approaching the 1300m causing Quick Decision to momentarily race wider.

QUICK DECISION – Inconvenienced near the 1300m when Im The Wild One was shifted out.

JILLIBY ZUCCHINI – Due to the filly not competing for a period longer than 12 months was examined by the veterinarian before and after the race in accordance with HRV policy which revealed no apparent abnormalities.
