RACE 1 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1609 metres
ZOEMAGIC– Passed required pre-race veterinary examination. Broke stride free of any external factors shortly after the start and galloped for a short distance. Connections were advised that the mare would now be placed outside the mobile barrier draw. Placed second, driver A Varga lodged a protest against IM FREYJA being declared the winner alleging interference in the home straight. It was determined that approaching the 100 metres ZOEMAGIC had obtained clear running and indeed established itself on the inside of IM FREYJA, shortly after this IM FREYJA shifted in marginally which caused the sulky wheels to become connected and A Varga to be momentarily unbalanced in the sulky. Further it was considered that at this time ZOEMAGIC was finishing the race more strongly than IM FREYJA and had the incident not occurred ZOEMAGIC would have finished ahead of IMFREYJA, therefore the protest was upheld and the placings were altered to reflect this. Subsequently C McElhinney the driver of IM FREYJA was reprimanded under AR 163(1)(a)(iii). Post-race swab sample.

She said that when issuing a challenge to KATASTRPHEE it took longer than she envisaged to cross that runner and thereafter the mare filed to travel and was disappointing in the run to the finish. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormality. Miss Coney was advised that prior to racing again FLIRTS DIVA must perform competitively in an official qualifying trial.

D Mackney’s licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of 10 days to commence at the expiration of suspension incurred at Tamworth on 25 October 2024 and expire on 19 November 2024 on which day he may resume.

She said that despite being driven with vigour after the start, she was unable to cross TWO CRACKED CORN, then when she attempted to restrain, her drive was unresponsive and refused to settle and because of this the gelding weakened when pressured inside the 500m. SUPERBON – Trainer/Driver A Varga was cautioned in relation to the manner that he applied the whip over the concluding stages.
