RACE 1 – HRNSW GUARANTEED LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres

IMLIKA– Pre-race blood sample.

TASMANS DELIGHT– Had a tendency to hang out at various stages of the event.

COLETTE– Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.

COBLA ROYALE– Broke stride in the latter stages of the score up. A warning was issued. Broke again as the field negotiated the first turn. A warning was issued.

DIDSHEDOIT NZ– Had a tendency to hang in throughout various stages of the event. Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 2 – MIKE RUSHBROOK MEMORIAL – 1980 metres

SKY DIAMOND NZ– Had a gear malfunction as the field rounded the final turn with the near side hind bandage coming adrift resulting in SKY DIAMOND NZ breaking stride momentarily. No action was taken.

ADRENALINE RUSH– Driver A Varga pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 156(2)(a) in that when driving his runner out over the concluding stages he employed an action which engaged the shoulder. Mr Varga was fined the sum of $400. Post-race swab sample.

BRADNESS JUNE– Pre-race blood sample.

NIFTY STUDLEIGH– Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

 

RACE 3 – REDLEIF CRYOTHERAPY & MASSAGE CLUB MENANGLE WARATAH HEAT – 1609 metres

SOHO SINATRA– Broke stride in the middle stages of the score up. A warning was issued. Checked and broke stride shortly after entering the back straight on the first occasion. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the near side foreleg. Upon veterinary advice was stood down for a period of 10 days in addition to a veterinary certificate of fitness.

ROGUE BLING– Had a tendency to hang out whilst under pressure over the concluding stages. Driver T Ison pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that shortly after entering the back straight on the first occasion he has shifted down the track slightly whilst already racing tight as the field negotiated the first turn and as a result checked the running of SOHO SINATRA and as a result broke stride. Driver T Ison’s license to drive in races was suspended for a period of 10 days. When considering penalty Stewards took into account his guilty plea and driving record in relation to interference. Post-race swab sample.

THOMAS ROYAL– Pre-race blood sample.

APACHE WHITESOX– Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten a considerable distance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed it to be mildly lame in the near side hind leg. Acting on veterinary advice was stood down pending a veterinary certificate of fitness in addition to one requalifying trial.

ROLAMAX– Checked as the field raced into the back straight on the first occasion.

 

RACE 4 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1980 metres

ANTETOKOUNMPO– Post-race swab sample.

TRIPLE EMM– Momentarily locked wheels with BUNDLE OF NOTES as the field negotiated the final turn.

BUNDLE OF NOTES– Placed in restricted racing room to the inside of DOUBLE LINES leaving the back straight on the final occasion. Obliged to shift down the track and as a result locked wheels with TRIPLE EMM.

DOUBLE LINES– Pre-race blood sample. Sustained contact to the near side wheel as the field negotiated the final turn when it shifted down the track slightly restricting the racing room of BUNDLE OF NOTES and as a result Driver G Panella momentarily dropped her left foot.

 

RACE 5 – SIXT CAR & TRUCK RENTAL TAMWORTH PACE – 1980 metres

VAN NIEKIRK NZ– Driver T Ison was questioned regarding the tactics adopted and the overall performance. Driver T Ison explained that after finding the lead position in the early stages of the event he was happy to maintain that position throughout however over the concluding stages when asked for an effort failed to run on and was somewhat disappointing.

HE SAID SHE SAID– Pre-race blood sample. When questioned regarding the tactics adopted and the overall performance Driver G Panella explained the instructions from connections were for her runner to maintain a genuine tempo as it can be somewhat lazy in its races. She further added when racing down the home straight with a lap remaining she placed her runner under significant pressure and was unable to cross to the lead and in her own opinion may have went too early. Stewards noted her comments.

MAJOR GENERALJUJON– Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

ZOEMAGIC- Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. Broke stride shortly after the start was effected. A warning was issued. Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten a considerable distance.

KARALTA COURAGE– Had a tendency to race roughly during the early stages of the score up. A warning was issued.

STICK MAN NZ– Post-race swab sample.

MACH CHARM- Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten a considerable distance. Connections were advised it would now be stood down until it can requalify on one occasion.

 

RACE 6 – HAZELLS FARM & FERTILIZER SERVICES PACE – 1980 metres

LYDIAS ART NZ– Pre-race blood sample.

IAMNOPET– Raced roughly when working forward in the early stages of the event. Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 7 – VALE JOHN WEBSTER PACE – 1980 metres

BARRYS BROTHER– Broke stride shortly after the start was effected and broke a carrying strap as a result of galloping and was retired from the event. A warning was issued for its manners at the start and no further action was taken.

SAN SABA– Pre-race blood sample. Broke stride shortly after the start was effected. A warning was issued. Checked and broke stride as the field negotiated the final turn.

VERY NEEDY– Driver D Mackney pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when negotiating the final turn he permitted his runner to shift wider on the track which placed SAN SABA in restricted room when to the inside of SPOOKY ART and as a result was checked and broke stride. Driver D Mackney’s licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of 7 days. When considering penalty Stewards took into account Driver D Mackney’s extremely good record in relation to interference and plea of guilt.

 

RACE 8 – SKY RACING ACTIVE TWO YEAR OLD PACE – 1980 metres

MACEDES– Had a tendency to hang in whilst under pressure over the concluding stages. Post-race swab sample.

SYNCOPATED SHUFFLE– Pre-race blood sample.

FRANCOS DELIGHT– Broke stride shortly after the start was effected. Connections were advised it would now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw. Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.

FIAMORE– Hampered as the field raced down the home straight for the run to the finish and momentarily locked wheels with CELEBRITY PRINCESS.

CELEBRITY PRINCESS– Placed in restricted room as the field raced down the home straight on the final occasion with MACEDES having a tendency to hang in whilst under pressure and as a result locked wheels with FIAMORE.

 

RACE 9 – GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND PACE – 1980 metres

CAESARS ROCKSTAR– Pre-race blood sample.

RIPPIN GOOD FEELIN– Post-race swab sample.

BE GOOD BENNY– Driver B Hughes was fined $200 under Rule 156(2)(a) in that when applying the whip over the concluding stages employed an action which engaged the shoulder.

 

GENERAL

Driver G Panella was fined $200 under Rule 231(2) in that whilst in the Steward’s room she misconducted herself by way of using foul language. When considering penalty Stewards took into account her guilty plea and record in relation to conduct matters.

 

Trainer J Hetherington pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 90A(2.9)(a) in that following a stable inspection conducted at Narrabri showgrounds 26 August 2024, it was observed that a person whilst unlicensed was conducting the duties of a stable hand at his training complex. Trainer J Hetherington was fined the sum of $250. When considering penalty Stewards took into account previous penalties issued and guilty plea.
