Trainers with multiple horses engaged in any given race were questioned as to the intended driving tactics to be adopted

RACE 1 – NEATLINE HOMES PACE (2190 MS)

JILLIBY TIDALWAVE – Broke gait when free of interference in the early stages of the score up. A last chance draw was place against the mare.

REGAL ROCK NZ – Pulled hard in the early and middle stages of the race.

GOOD TOBE LOCKSLEY – Raced three wide late without cover from the 750m mark before obtaining a trail from the 650m mark.

VINCE LOMBARDI NZ – Was restrained to the rear of the field after being caught wide in the early stages of the race.

READY TO ROCK – Held up for clear running entering the home straight before using the sprint lane.

LOVE WATCH – Inconvenienced entering the home straight when READY TO ROCK shifted ground.

NO NEIGH PHILTRA – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination, after dislodging driver George Chamouras in the prelim, which revealed no apparent abnormalities and was subsequently cleared to start. Raced three wide without cover from the 900m mark before obtaining a trail from the 750m mark.

BANDIT EYES – Had to be steadied leaving the 900m mark when NO NEIGH PHILTRA shifted outwards to obtain clear running.

RACE 2 – COTTRELLS ELECTRICAL PACE (1690 MS)

IM DUSTEE – Broke gait when free of interference approaching the 1450m mark inconveniencing JACCKA CONNOR NZ, WEMADE FREO and THEROCKGOD before being restrained to the rear. A last chance to race truly was placed against the gelding.

WIND SOCK – Raced three wide after the start, advancing to race outside the leader approaching the 1200m mark.

THEROCKGOD – Inconvenienced approaching the 1450m mark when IM DUSTEE broke gait when free of interference.

HIGH FLUX – Held up for clear running entering the home straight before using the sprint lane.

JACCKA CONNOR NZ – Inconvenienced approaching the 1450m mark when IM DUSTEE broke gait when free of interference.

WEMADE FREO – Inconvenienced approaching the 1450m mark when IM DUSTEE broke gait when free of interference.

HOORAH PHILTRA – Held up for clear running entering the home straight before using the sprint lane.

RACE 3 – YOUR SOLD REAL ESTATE PACE (2190 SS)

FIRECRACKER NOLA – Hung in for a short distance after the start. Raced three wide without cover from the 1550m mark before obtaining a trail from the 1350m mark.

DOO DON’T THINK – Was restrained to the rear of the field after being caught wide in the early stages of the race.

BETTER SAINT – Raced three wide without cover from the 1500m mark before racing outside the leader from the 1100m mark.

RACE 4 – SADDLEWORLD SHEPPARTON PACE (2190 MS)

HESTON CASH – Started to give ground leaving the 500m mark to be beaten 33m. Driver Liam Older could offer no explanation to the below market performance of HESTON CASH. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. The stable will monitor the gelding’s recovery and report to the stewards if any issues arise within the next 48 hours.

BRONSKI MOMENT – Pulled hard in the early and middle stages of the race.

NOBLE JULIA – Pulled hard in the middle stages of the race.

ROCKSTAR LEO – Pulled hard in the early stages of the race.

PETE MITCHELL – Raced three wide without cover from the 1300m mark before racing outside the leader from the 1050m mark. Raced roughly when placed under pressure over the concluding stages.

RACE 5 – HUNTER RURAL TROT (1690 MS)

BROOKIES BABE – Held up for clear running entering the home straight before using the sprint lane.

LADY LIL – Started to tire leaving the 500m mark to be beaten 96.6m. A warning was placed against the mare.

AGAINST THE BRIDAL – Raced three wide in the early and middle stages while working forward to obtain the lead approaching 1100m mark.

TETRA – Due to having competed in more than 200 lifetime races and in accordance with HRV policy was examined by the veterinarian before and after the race which revealed no apparent abnormalities. Surrendered the lead to AGAINST THE BRIDAL approaching the 1100m mark.

PRETTY PENNY MAORI – Was restrained to the rear of the field after being caught wide in the early stages of the race. Broke gait when free of interference approaching the 600m mark.

MACHO MAORI – Raced three wide without cover from the 1200m mark before racing outside the leader from the 1000m mark.

WHATS THE TEA – Hung in when placed under pressure over the final 50m.

RACE 6 – ALABAR PACE (2190 MS)

PINNACLE HOPE – Due to having competed in more than 200 lifetime races and in accordance with HRV policy was examined by the veterinarian before and after the race which revealed no apparent abnormalities.

STELLAR QUEEN – Raced outside the leader for the majority of the race, started to give ground leaving the 400m mark to be beaten 36.5m.

MURIEL – Pulled hard in the middle stages of the race. Tightened for room over the concluding stages when SMILE WITH A GRIN hung in when placed under pressure and OLLY ODD POTTS hung out when placed under pressure, as a result had no clear run and not fully tested.

SMILE WITH A GRIN – Raced roughly after the start before being restrained to a position. Raced three wide with cover from the 900m mark. Was inclined to hang in when placed under pressure over the concluding stages.

WELL THAT’S ALRIGHT – Was restrained to the rear of the field after being caught wide in the early stages of the race.

TEX GOES BANG – Held up for clear running entering the home straight before using the sprint lane.

OLLY ODD POTTS – Raced three wide without cover from the 900m mark. Was inclined to hang out when placed under pressure over the concluding stages.

RACE 7 – GRENADA PARK TROT (2190 MS)

STARLIGHT RED – Surrendered the lead to GLENGARRY RED approaching the 1500m mark, then pulled hard in the middle stages once obtaining cover.

KAMARAN – Out of position when the start was intuited, began poorly, breaking gait after the start and trailing the field. As a result, KAMARAN will be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile races.

SWEET MAORI MISS – Broke gait when free of interference approaching the 450m mark.

GLENGARRY RED – Raced three wide after the start, advancing to the lead approaching the 1500m mark.

RACE 8 – CHARLTON CARAVAN PARK PACE (2190 MS)

General

Stewards inquired into the bona fides of the nomination and subsequent withdrawal of FUN FOR A REASON from tonight’s event. After considering the explanation provided by Trainer Mr Tonkin, Stewards found that there was no evidence to support that FUN FOR A REASON was not nominated for genuine reasons and therefore no further inquiries were to be made.

LENIU – Tightened for racing room leaving the 2000m mark when CRAZY ON THE BEACH shifted down to the marker line, having to be steadied for a few strides. Worked forward from the 1800m mark to obtain the lead.

ROYAL BLOOD – Pulled hard in the early and middle stages of the race.

CRAZY ON THE BEACH – Shifted down to the marker line leaving the 2000m mark, tightening LENIU. Surrendered the lead to LENIU approaching the 1800m mark.
