Race 1 - LADBROKES COMMUNITIES PACE 1780M
SWOOPING EAGLE Broke in the score up and a false start was declared after trailing runners were unable to fulfil their allotted positions. Connections were advised the gelding will be placed out of the draw for future mobile starts.
KHULAN KID Withstood an early challenge for the lead by Kiss On The Beach to lead throughout.
KISS ON THE BEACH Unsuccessfully challenged for the lead over the early stages of the event and was obliged to race in the position outside of the leader for the remainder of the event. Yielded ground quickly and finished in excess of 70 metres from the winner a last chance to race competitively will be placed on the mare.
MAYWYN TROUBADOUR Commenced a three wide run without cover leaving the 800 metre point.
MAGICOL IDEAL NZ Required the assistance of the clerk leaving the pre race circle and will continue to be drawn to the outside for future mobile starts.
JADES DIAMOND Yielded ground over the concluding stages of the event finishing in excess of 70 metres from the winner, the Mare will be placed on it’s last chance to race competitively.
LULU LUCIFER Inclined to over race when racing in a trailing position.
Race 2 – GARRARDS HERE ON TRACK PACE 1780M
CONNIES SPIRIT Surrendered the lead over the early stages of the event, tightened for racing room leaving the home turn resulting in a marker peg being dislodged.
PERFECT FEELING Raced wide over the early stages of the event working forward thee wide without cover until obtaining the position outside of the leader nearing the 1400 metre point.
TINSEL TIARA Hung in and raced roughly for a short distance leaving the 700 metre point.
OCEAN LANE Commenced a three wide run without cover leaving the 800 metre point of the event.
General
Driver B.McElhinney was fined the sum of $200 under AHR Rule 156(7) for utilizing his whip in an unapproved manner over the concluding stages of the event.
Race 3 - PELICAN WATERS RESORT PACE 2040M
DIEGO DELGADO Raced three wide without cover over the early stages of the event working forward to the position outside of the leader nearing the 1600 metre point.
KNOCKAWARWON NZ Restrained at the start
ROCKTIME Restrained at the start of the event to a rearward trailing position, commenced a three wide run without cover leaving the 800 metre point.
FOXI FIVE Commenced to yield ground over the concluding stages of the event finishing in excess of 50 metres from the winner. A last chance to race competitively will be placed on the mare.
Race 4 - ELDERS PROPERTY MANAGEMENT PACE 1780M
PRECOCIOUS KATE Broke in the early stages of the score up however was in position at the start.
JOE CAVALIER Raced in the position outside of the leader throughout, yielded ground quickly leaving the 400 metre point resulting in the offside sulky wheel being struck by a trailing runner. Completed the race with an offside flat tyre.
MY ULTIMATE HESTON Caught wide over the early stages before being restrained to a rearward trailing position.
TRACER BULLET Broke gait entering the first turn, connections were advised the Gelding will be placed on its last chance to race truly.
JAY TEE TYRON NZ Raced wide over the early stages of the event working forward to secure the one out one back position. Inconvenienced by the tiring Joe Cavalier leaving the 400 metre point of the event contacting the sulky of Joe Cavalier as a result.
ONE LAST ROLL Inconvenienced in the early stages of the score up when Precocious Kate broke gait.
Race 5 – COMFORT INN & SUITES NORTHGATE PACE 1780M
MAJOR MISCHIEF Broke in the early stages of the score up however was in position at the start. Momentarily tightened for room leaving the home turn when Cobbler Lane hung in and Vermont shifted out slightly. The driver reported post race that the Gelding had completed the race with a jammed rein burr under the neck strap which had placed him at somewhat of a disadvantage.
JET FORCE Left a rearward trailing position working forward three wide without cover to the position outside of the leader nearing the 1000 metre point.
BETTOR DREAM SWEET Restrained at the start. Placed back in the mobile draw after two successful consecutive mobile starts.
CAPTAIN OH CAPTAIN Raced three wide through the middle stages without cover working forward to the position outside of the leader nearing the 1200 metre point, obtained cover from Jet Force shortly after.
Race 6 - DAN COSTELLO PHOTOGRAPHY PACE 1780M
FORTYFIVE ROCK Yielded ground quickly leaving the 800 metre point of the event finishing in excess of 60 metres from the winner. Connections were advised the Gelding will be placed on it’s last chance to race competitively.
STARS OF AMERICA Broke gait entering the first turn and tailed out to take no further competitive part in the event. Connections were advised due to the Geldings recent poor record in relation to breaking gait the Gelding will be required to complete two consecutive satisfactory requalifying trials prior to resuming racing.
SHE DAZZLES Raced three wide working forward to the position outside of the leader before obtaining cover from My Secret Beach.
MY SECRET BEACH Raced wide through the early stages of the event working forward to lead.
Race 7 – HUSTLER 104 PACE 1780M
PABLOS ART Raced wide over the early stages of the event working forward to obtain the lead nearing the 1200 metre point. Placed back in the mobile draw after two successful consecutive mobile starts.
DOLLARBILL Raced wide over the early stages of the event working forward to the position outside of the leader nearing the 1200 metre point, taken wider for a brief period when Pablos Art shifted out to work forward. Placed back in the mobile draw after two successful consecutive mobile starts.
General
Stewards inquired into an incident leaving the back straight on the first occasion where it appeared Dollarbill which was racing three wide at the time was taken wider briefly when Pablos Art shifted from the one out running line to improve forward. After taking evidence from drivers M.Crone and A. Richardson it was established that Dollarbill was proving difficult to restrain and Driver M. Crone elected to let the horse stride forward, Driver A. Richardson elected to shift wider to improve and his horse Pablos Art was slow to respond when shifted wider which resulted in Dollarbill having to be momentarily taken wider as Driver M.Crone was having difficulty in steading the Gelding. Driver A. Richardson was Reprimanded under AHR Rule 162 (www) for briefly hindering the forward progress of Dollarbill at that point of the event and reminded of his obligations under this rule going forward.
Driver L. Weidemann was suspended from driving in races for a period of 14days under AHR Rule 156 (2) for utilizing her whip in an unapproved manner in accordance with QRIC penalty guidelines. The suspension will commence midnight 27th October 2024.
Race 8 - BURWOOD STUD PACE 1780M
SPLIT EAR Yielded ground leaving the 500 metre point of the event.
CALL ME TRISH Commenced a three wide run without cover leaving the 800 metre point of the event.
