Supplementary Report:

Trainer Ken Belford reported that Rockin Chika had subsequently shown some soreness following its disappointing performance at Redcliffe on Wednesday 12 June 2024. Mr Belford advised the mare will be given a let up from racing to assist recovery from the injury.

Race 1 - POWER UP LAWN MOWERS PACE   1780M

Rock Nien (Matt Elkins) hung in when racing wide on the final turn.

Madame West (Leonard Cain) raced roughly leaving the back straight on the first occasion. It was established the mare lost an off side hind shoe which may have placed Madame West at some disadvantage during the race.

Race 2 – CONGRATS SHARN FREIER ON MAKING MATILDAS SOCCER TEAM PACE 2040M

Ashlee Nitro (Pete McMullen)caught wide in the early stages of the race before being restrained to a rearward trailing position.

Race 3 - SECTIONZLS & RATINGS AT SULKY.APP PACE       1780M

Antetokounmpo (Pete McMullen)broke on the first turn after the start and lost valuable ground. After considering a good record in this regard, connections were advised the gelding will be placed on its last chance to race truly.

Treacherous Gabby (Jordon Topping)off side hopple shortener failed to release whichhe mare a t a disadvantage throughout the race. It was noted Treacherous Gabby contacted marker pegs leaving the back straight on both occasions as a result.

Joe Cavalier (Angus Garrard)back in the mobile draw after two successful consecutive starts.

Race 4 – PELICAN WATERS RESORT PACE   1780M

Modern Sheen (Nathan Dawson)raced wide in the first lap of the race before progressing forward to the lead.

Bokhari (Dale Larpent)hung in on the final turn and contacted marker pegs.

Race 5 – NR46-50 RON MCCALL MEMORIAL FINZL    1780M

Royal Winkle (Layne Dwyer)galloped in the early stages of the score up and lost considerable ground, taking no competitive part in the race. Stewards advised connections Royal Winkle will be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile starts.

Bella Bronski (Chloe Butler)at the request of Stewards was examined by the veterinary officer post race who advised the mare was lame in the near fore fetlock. The Stewards adopted the vet’s recommendation that Bella Bronski not be permitted to race for a period of 7 days and a veterinary clearance is provided by connections.

Race 6 - DARREN EBERT & CO PACE 1780M

Baby Ginnie (Mathew Neilson)hung in and contacted marker pegs on entrance to the back straight on the final occasion.

Hoiho NZ (Leonard Cain)raced roughly when caught wide in the early stages of the race. Restrained to the rear of the field and again raced roughly when pulling hard. Failed to gain clear running in the concluding stages and was not fully tested.

Vermont (Brendan Barnes)shifted in and contacted a marker peg on entrance to the back straight on the first occasion.

Race 7 – STEVIE REDBACK PEST CONTROL MAIDEN PACE 1780M

Creedence (Matt Elkins)commenced to yield ground at the winning post with a lap remaining and finished a distant last beaten 55 metres. Stewards directed the Veterinary officer to examine the gelding which revealed no abnormalities. In view of a similar poor performance at its most recent start, Creedence was barred from racing until it can trial satisfactorily on two occasions.

Race 8 - HYGAIN FEEDS PACE           1780M

Caribbean Rocket (Trent Moffat) examined by the veterinary officer post race at the request of Stewards and no abnormalities were detected.

Race 9 -MAZDA ASPLEY 1 WIN PACE 1780M

Beau Hart (Pete McMullen) raced wide for the first 600 metres before being restrained to the rear of the field.

Swabs samples taken for analysis.
