Race 1 - DRIVER OF THE NIGHT JORDAN TOPPING MAIDEN PACE            1780M

Whykikamoocow – Held up around the home turn before racing roughly entering the sprint lane.

Pub Lane Princess – Raced roughly around the first turn.

Shifted out from a one-wide trailing position near the 1350m, before working to the front near the 1200m.

Midnight Senora – Hung in contacting a marker peg entering the home straight. A warning was issued.

Little Monkey – Galloped after the start was effected. Connections were advised the filly will be placed out of the mobile draw for two consecutive, satisfactory mobile starts.

Belmer Betty – Raced roughly near the 550m.

Light Up Lovey – Raced roughly near the 1500m.

General-

Little Monkey – After not having raced for more than six months, and in accordance with QRIC policy, the filly was inspected by the on-course veterinarian prior to racing and was passed fit to start.

Race 2 – DAN COSTELLO PHOTOGRAPHY MAIDEN PACE    1780M

Diamond Deano – Hung in contacting marker pegs entering the back straight on the first occasion, and again near the 500m. A warning was issued.

Sweet Lad Jujon – Shifted out from a one-wide trailing position near the 1200m, before working to the position outside the leader near the 1100m.

Ambers Allstar – Out of position at the start, will continue to be excluded from the mobile draw.

After being beaten in excess of 54m, .connections were advised the mare will be placed on its last chance to race competitively.

Anythingforadollar – After being beaten in excess of 52m, connections were advised the filly will be placed on its last chance to race competitively.

Race 3 - GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND 0 TO 3 WINS PACE   1780M

Team Sport – Led before withstanding a challenge for the lead near the 1200m.

Zac Daniels – Raced roughly shortly after the start.

Pumpkin Pat – Worked forward from the start, unsuccessfully challenging for the lead near the 1200, before being restrained to the position behind the leader shortly afterwards.

Race 4 - BURWOOD STUD PACE        1780M

Sylvia Kay NZ – Worked forward three-wide from the start, before reaching the position outside the leader near the 1400m.

For No Reason – Pulled hard throughout the event.

Race 5 – MEMBERS DRAW WINNER - ROBYNE JOSEPH PACE            2040M

Mongolian Conqueror NZ – Hung in after the start when racing three-wide before being restrained back into the running line.

Daniel Boom – Earplugs released before start. Connections were advised to take the necessary corrective measures. Pulled hard throughout the score-up and during the first half of the race.

Im Boo NZ – Hung in around the home turn.

Race 6 - PELICAN WATERS RESORT PACE    1780M

Rightyo – Hung in contacting a marker peg into the first turn. A warning was issued.

The Masked Crusader NZ- Worked forward three-wide from the start, before reaching the position outside the leader near the 1350m.

Our Ultimate Ivy NZ – No clear run to the finish.

Race 7 – COAST2COAST GROUNDS AND GARDENS PACE   1780M

Merge Right – Held up in the run to the finish.

Captains Pick – Shifted in to the peg line near the 1000m.

Promising – Restrained to the rear at the start before shifting out near the 1400m and working forward to the position outside the leader near the 1100m.

Race 8 - MAZDA ASPLEY PACE          2040M

Royal Studleigh – Settled outside the leader before obtaining cover near the 1700m.

Pago Pago – Jibbed in the score-up. Connections were advised the gelding would be placed on its last chance in the mobile draw.

Worked forward three-wide to be outside the leader near the1700m, before obtaining a trail near the 1400m.

Altana Blue – Worked forward wide from the start to reach the position outside the leader near the 1400m.

General-

Altana Blue - In accordance with the QRIC older horse requirements, the gelding was inspected by the on-course veterinarian prior to racing and was passed fit to start.

Race 9 - ELDERS PROPERTY MANAGEMENT PACE (SKY 2) 2040M

Shez Got Bling – Hung in and broke entering the first turn. Connections were advised the mare will be placed out of the draw for two consecutive satisfactory mobile starts.

Rollonx – Hung in when racing three-wide into the first turn. A warning was issued.

General- 

Stewards inquired into the reason Shez Got Bling galloped shortly after the start.

After questioning drivers Narissa McMullen (Shez Got Bling), Adam Richardson (Long Time Coming) and Nathan Rothwell (Rollonx), and after reviewing video evidence and stewards’ observations, it was established Shez Got Bling broke free of interference after hanging in approaching the first turn.

Driver Brendan Barnes (Vermont) was fined the sum of $100 for contacting a marker peg entering the home straight on final occasion.

Stewards delayed declaring all clear until viewing the replay of the concluding stages of the race and were satisfied Vermont contacting the pegs had no bearing on the result.

Race 10 - DARREN EBERT & CO PACE (SKY 2)          2040M

One Chain Road – Led before surrendering near the 1700m.

Charlie Chuckles – Worked forward to the lead near the1700m.

General- 

Lancelot Bromac NZ In accordance with the QRIC older horse requirements, the gelding was inspected by the on-course veterinarian prior to racing and was passed fit to start.
