Race 1 - 2024 TROT RODS HEAT 1      947M

Lazy Blaze was unable to hold lead. 

Bustn Feelz Good worked forward to the lead over the first 200 metres.

Yella worked forward to lead the one wide line after 200 metres. Hung in badly at various stages of the race placing the driver in difficulty – having considered its recent record Stewards ordered the gelding stood from racing until its completion of a satisfactory requalifying trial.

Blissful Identityutilised the sprint lane to finish second.

Race 2 – 2024 TROT RODS HEAT 2     947M

Lord Denzel surrendered the lead after 250 metres. Utilised the sprint lane to win.

Courageous Leo worked forward to the lead after 250 metres. 

Doolittle Dazzler was under pressure into the home straight however, had difficulty gaining a clear run to the finish.

Race 3 - POWER UP LAWN MOWERS PACE   1780M

Girl From Oz utilised the sprint lane to win.

Madrigal NZ led the one wide line prior to gaining a one out one back trail entering the back straight on the first occasion.

Romero worked forward three wide to take over the position leading the one wide line near the 1400 metres. Gained a one out one back near the 1200 metres.

Docta Feelgood raced four wide early then worked forward three wide to take over the position leading the one wide line near the 1200 metres.

The Rainbow Beach’sdriver Mitch Turnbull was fined $400, Mr Turnbull having pleaded guilty to charge issued under the provisions of AHRR156(3) in that in the run to the finish he utilised his whip in an unapproved manner i.e. continuous without giving his drive a chance to respond. In determining penalty Stewards were cognisant that this was Mr Turnbull’s second offence under AHRR156 within a 56 day period.

Rocknroll Times’sdriver Alanah Richardson was fined $200, she having pleaded guilty to a charge issued under the provisions of AHRR156(3) in that in the run to the finish she utilised her whip in an unapproved manner – continuous whip action.

Flo Ryder NZ’sdriver Paige Bevan was fined $200, she having pleaded guilty to a charge issued under the provisions of AHRR156(3) in that in the run to the finish she utilised her whip in an unapproved manner – continuous whip action.

Race 4 - LADBROKE IT! PACE 1780M

Tralee Maxie led the one wide line prior to gaining a one out one back near the 1200 metres. 

Rockslide worked forward three wide to take over the position leading the one wide line near the 1200 metres.

Reason To Be broke stride as the start was effected – placed out of the draw in mobile barrier races. Commenced a three wide run from the rear of the field near the 850 metres then three wide one back from the 650 metres.

Ima Beach Babe was held up behind a tiring runner on the final turn losing significant ground then had difficulty securing a clear run to the finish – not fully tested.

Sunrise Rubyutilised the sprint lane to finish third. 

Race 5 – STEVIE REDBACK PEST CONTROL PACE   2040M

My Girl Mandy led the one wide line prior to gaining a one out one back trail near the 1500 metres.

Gleneagle Vee Cee failed to gain a clear run to the finish – not fully tested.

For No Reason utilised the sprint lane to finish third. 

Lord Memnock after settling in a rearward position commenced a three wide run near the 1750 metres to work forward to take over the position leading the one wide line near the 1500 metres.

Race 6 - DRIVER OF THE NIGHT ADAM SANDERSON PACE  1780M

Torque In Control led the one wide line prior to gaining a one out one back trail near the 1000 metres.

One Chain Road surrendered the lead near the 1300 metres. 

Jay Tee Tyron NZ led the one wide line prior to working forward o the lead near the 1300 metres. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils. Under the provisions of AHRR101(3)(a)(b) and 101(4)(a)(b) Jay Tee Tyron NZ is stood down from racing for three months and until the completion of a satisfactory trial. A veterinary certificate must also be submitted prior to him being eligible to race again.

Charlie Chuckles commenced a three wide run from midfield near the 1250 metres to take over the position leading the one wide line near the 1000 metres.

Race 7 - MAZDA ASPLEY PACE          1780M

Sammys Secret led the one wide line prior to gaining a one out one back trail near the 1000 metres.

Datsinahurri commenced a three wide run from one out one back to take over the position leading the one wide line near the 1000 metres. Commenced to give ground near the 1250 metres. Driver Nathan Dawson explained to the Stewards that as the gelding commenced to tire near the 250 metres he elected to restrain it further in order to avoid inconveniencing other runners.  

Magicol Ideal NZ broke in the score up and hung in checking another runner – continue out of the draw in mobile barrier races.

Race 8 – MEMBERS DRAW WINNER DENIS ATTERBURY PACE            1780M

Our Ultimate Ruby gave ground from the 600 metres after leading the one wide line throughout. 

Choc A Block commenced a three wide run from the rear of the field near the 800 metres.

Pom Pay utilised the sprint lane to finish third.

Race 9 – HYGAIN FEEDS 0 TO 3 WINS PACE  2040M

Call To Order raced three wide for the first 250 metres prior to being restrained to a one out one back trail. Trainer/driver Grant Dixon explained to the Stewards that he was pleased with the colt’s performance however, the comfortable sectionals for the leader, as well as the longshot leader of the one wide line racing back from the leader, were detrimental.

Foxi Five was caught racing wide for the first 400 metres whilst being restrained to the rear of the field.

River Rock utilised the sprint lane to finish third. 

Race 10 - ELDERS PROPERTY MANAGEMENT 1 WIN PACE  1780M

Speedy Sport’s driver Phoebe Betts was fined $100, Ms Betts having exceeding the sectional time standard whilst leading. The first 800 metres was completed in 65.4 seconds which exceeded the time standard of 65 seconds.

Joe Cavalier led the one wide line prior to gaining a one out one back trail near the 1250 metres.  

Its One Life NZ raced three wide whilst working forward to ntake over the position leading the one wide line near the 1250 metres.

Air Express three wide two back from the 700 metres. 

My Ultimate Cossie commenced a three wide run near the 700 metres.

Pennie Packer three wide one back from the 700 metres.
