Trustfull (Hannah Anforth) Stewards questioned the driving tactics adopted by Hannah Anforth, in particular the exertion placed on the mare in the first 600 metres of the race when challenging for the lead with Dahrlinn. This challenge was unsuccessful and resulted in the first sectional being recorded in 29.1 seconds. In the concluding stages, Trustfull tired and finished in last position beaten 80 metres. Hannah Anforth explained her driving instructions were to utilise the mares early speed and attempt to lead but was unable to cross Dahrlinn. Junior driver advocate Ben Battle advised Stewards that Trustfull was inclined to over race after being exerted early for the lead which contributed to the mare tiring in the concluding stages. Stewards advised Hannah Anforth the second challenge for the lead in the back straight was unrealistic and was a contributing factor to the mares poor performance. Stewards cautioned Miss Anforth for an ill judged drive and was advised should she drive in a similar manner in future more severe action would be taken against her licence.
