Race 1 - GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND PACE            1780M

Rolamax (Pete McMullen) raced wide in the early stages before being restrained to a rearward trailing position.

Geldof (Jordan Topping) back in the mobile draw after two successful consecutive starts.

Race 2 – POWER UP LAWN MOWERS PACE  2040M

Only Once Bitten NZ (Leonard Cain) required clerk of the course assistance in the marshalling circle and galloped midway through the score up resulting in the mare being out of position when the start was affected. Connections were advised Only Once Bitten NZ will be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile starts.

Dancintothebeat (Brendan Barnes) hung in on the first turn and contacted a number of marker pegs for which a warning was issued.

Bettor Romance (Chloe Butler) cast an off side plate during the race which may have placed the mare at some disadvantage.

Race 3 - REDCLIFFE LEAGUES CLUB PACE   1780M

Williewa Lightning (Lachie Manzelmann) broke free of interference leaving the 400 metres and lost valuable ground. After considering a good record in this regard connections were advised Williewa Lightning will be placed on its last chance to race truly.

Roses Are Sweet (Pete McMullen) raced roughly after the start when being restrained by its driver.

Race 4 - DRIVER OF THE NIGHT BRENDAN BARNES PACE   1780M

Uhura (Angus Garrard) inclined to shift out under pressure in the run to the finish and a warning was issued.

Bukthsystem (Leonard Cain) ran out slightly at the start when being restrained.

Specialandiknowit (Brendan Barnes) held up for clear running in the concluding stages when Uhura was inclined to shift out under pressure.

Race 5 – FASTEST LAST QUARTER IN JUNE: MANILA PLAYBOY 27.6 PACE   1780M

Courageous Sam (Chloe Butler) raced three wide in the early stages before working forward to obtain the position without cover. Shifted out under pressure despite the efforts of its driver and connections were advised Courageous Sam will be placed on its last chance to race truly.

Rollonx (Angus Garrard) hung out on the final turn and when corrected by its driver shifted in and contacted a marker peg on entrance to the sprint lane.

Race 6 - MEMBERS DRAW WINNER ANTHONY COLLINS PACE            1780M

Aroona (Melissa Kendall) shifted in on entrance to the first turn after the start and jumped a marker peg resulting in the gelding becoming unbalanced and galloping for a short distance. After considering a good record in this regard, Stewards advised connections that Aroona will be placed on its last chance to race truly.

Nevaevabend (Zac Chapppenden) failed to gain clear running in the concluding stages and was not fully tested

Explanation Noted (Mathew Neilson) caught three wide in the early stages of the race before being restrained to the rear of the field.

Soulwriter (Jonah Hutchinson) slow to muster speed in the score up.

Feel The Thrill (Lachie Manzelmann) inconvenienced on the first turn when Aroona galloped.

Race 7 – WOOLLAM CONSTRUCTIONS PACE            1780M

Toolittletoolate (David McKenzie) gave ground appreciably in the concluding stages after racing behind the leader throughout. Stewards directed a veterinary examination be carried out on the gelding which revealed no significant findings. Trainer driver David McKenzie was at a loss to explain the gelding’s poor performance and could only attribute the inconsistent run to a quick backup from its performance six days ago. Mr McKenzie advised Stewards that he would be spacing the gelding’s runs more significantly in future. Toolittletoolate was placed on its last chance to race competitively.

Dancing With My Ex (Pete McMullen) contacted the off side sulky wheel of Abbey Diadema when commencing a forward three wide run leaving the 400 metres.

Abbey Diadema (Mathew Neilson) sustained an offside flat tyre leaving the 400 metres which placed the mare at a distinct disadvantage for the remainder of the event.

General

Pete McMullen (Dancing With My Ex) was fined $100 under AHR rule 168 (1) (a) for careless driving by allowing his gelding to contact the off side sulky wheel of Abbey Diadema when commencing a forward three wide run leaving the 400 metres.

Race 8 - HYGAIN FEEDS PACE           1780M

The Crom (Matt Crone) shifted in and contacted a marker peg on the final turn.

Aunty Emily (Mathew Neilson) caught wide in the early stages and was unsuccessful in obtaining the position without cover due to Bold Cowboy pulling hard when racing outside the leader. Obliged to be restrained to the rear of the field.

Manoflisa (Trent Hodges) contacted a marker peg on entrance to the back straight on the final occasion.

Killer Dragon (Zac Chappenden) back in the mobile draw after two successful consecutive starts.

Bold Cowboy (Nathan Dawson) pulled hard when racing outside the leader and tired badly in the concluding stages to finish a distant last beaten 226 metres. Stewards directed a veterinary examination be carried out on the gelding which revealed some respiratory issues during the race, indicating the gelding may have choked down. After considering a previous offence in this regard at its most recent start, bold cowboy was stood down from racing until a endoscopic examination is carried out on the gelding complete two satisfactory trials.

Race 9 - BURWOOD STUD MAIDEN PACE      1780M

Cactus Rose (Jonah Hutchinson) contacted marker pegs on the final turn when racing tight to the inside of Agent Starling.

Agent Starling (Mathew Neilson) tightened for racing room on the final turn when racing to the inside of Village Smirker which was inclined to hang in under pressure. Completed the race with blood evident in the off side nostril. After a veterinary examination, this was confirmed, and the Stewards adopted the vet’s recommendation that Agent Starling not be permitted to race until a endoscopic clearance is tendered by connections. Agent Starling will be required to complete a satisfactory trial before racing again.

Village Smirker (Bradley Forge) hung in under pressure on the final turn when racing three wide causing a tightening to the inside. Bradley Forge was advised to take the necessary corrective measures to prevent a repetition.

General

Bradley Forge (Village Smirker) was fined $200 under AHR rule 156 (2) for engaging the shoulder and elbow when applying the whip in the concluding stages.

Race 10 -TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY MAIDEN PACE   1780M

Tori Be (Leonard Cain) galloped after the start was affected and lost valuable ground. The mare will be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile starts. Raced roughly at various stages of the event.

Cee Sixty Three (John Ballin) out of position at the start despite the efforts of its driver and the gelding will continue to be drawn to the outside in future mobile starts.

Payout (Matt Elkins) inconvenienced at the start when Tori Be galloped.
