Supplementary Report:
Trainer Shannon Price (Hide N Seek) advised stewards that the trotter which failed at its previous run in the final of the DJA trotting series failed to back up with three runs in consecutive weeks and high temperatures. Miss Price was confident Hide And Seek with the slight ease up and was expecting a more forward performance at its next start.
Race 1 – GARRARDS HERE ON TRACK 0 TO 2 WINS PACE 1780M
BELMER BETTY – Tightened for room on the turn into the back straight in the first lap of the eve
WEE BONNIE - Led the one (1) wide line for the majority of the event.
LAZENA – Driver fined careless driving.
General: Driver Jordon Topping (Lazena) was fined $200 for being careless entering the back straight after the start by tightening the ground of Belmer Betty (Taleah McMullen) which was checked by its driver.(AHRR 168(1)a)
Race 2 – WOLF SIGNS MAIDEN PACE 1780M
WICKED DE LIL – Broke after the start and will be drawn wide in future mobile events
FLORAS FOLLY – Worked forward start to lead.
TINTIN IN LOGAN - Led one wide line early before attaining cover in the back straight in the first lap of the event.
YANKEE ARK – Broke gait in the side straight in the first lap. A last chance o race truly was placed on the gelding.
BLUE CHIP DANCE – Raced wide and worked forward from a rearward position to lead the one wide line on the turn out of the back straight in the first lap.
THE SWANSONG – Gave ground over the concluding stages of the event. Stewards took into account the limited racing history of the filly and no further action was taken.
Race 3 – MAZDA ASPLEY PACE 1780M
WILLIEWA LIGHTNING – Shifted in and contacted markers on the turn into the front straight with a lap remaining.
Race 4 – ELDERS PROPERTY MANAGEMENT PACE 1780M
MARKSMAN - Pulled hard when being restrained to the rear of the field after the start.
AUNTY FRANCES – Led up the three (3) wide line in the back straight in the final lap.
Race 5 – COMFORT INN & SUITES NORTHGATE PACE 2040M
JOHN SNOW NZ – Broke at the start losing considerable ground. The gelding will be drawn wide in future mobile events.
THE HARRIS HAWK – Caught wide after the start, before working to lead the one (1) wide line in the front straight after the start.
DREAMTIME NALA – Raced roughly leaving pre-race circle and was back slightly from correctly from its allotted position. A last chance draw was placed on the mare. Dreamtime Nala broke approaching the home turn after the start and again in the side straight in the final lap. The mare will be required to trial to the satisfaction of the stewards before racing again.
PRECOCIOUS KATE – Worked forward start to lead the one (1) wide line before attaining cover in the front straight when the Harris Hawk
General: Driver Shane Graham (Sanders) was fined $400 for using the whip exceeding a flicking motion in the run to the finish. (AHRR 156(2).
Race 6 – POWER UP LAWN MOWERS - HUSTLER RAPTOR PACE 1780M
REASON TO SHINE – Raced wide and worked forward to lead the one (1) wide line in the back straight in the middle stages of the event.
WITHOUTTHETUH – Pulled hard throughout.
PLATINUM JEWEL – Raced roughly in early score up before fulfilling correctly allotted position at start.
General: Withoutthetah (Luke Sutherland pulled hard during the run and contacted the drivers helmet Darren McCall (Miss Froufrou) the preceding being inconvenienced by the movement. Connections were advised to take corrective measures to settle Withoutthetah and a warning was placed against it.
Race 7 – LADBROKES TOP 2/3/4 BETTING PACE 1780M
TIGER TOMMY NZ - Caught wide early and resttrained to rear of the field.
DENVER COLORADO - Caught wide early before working forward to lead the one (1) wide line in the back straight in the first lap.
Swabs samples taken for analysis.
