Supplementary Report:

Due to Adam Richardson being unavailable to drive at tonight’s race meeting, for reasons deemed acceptable by the Stewards, approval was granted for the following late driving change;

Race 5; Horse 8  –  HAMMER SON –  now Lola Weidemann

Race 1 – LADBROKES POPULAR SRM PACE    2040M  [MS]

TURBO TOMMY (Jack Chapple)– Shifted inwards and contacted a marker peg when turning into the back straight on the first occasion while trailing the leader.

HES SWEET (Zac Chappenden)– Hung inwards entering and leaving the back straight on the final occasion, resulting in the sulky contacting marker pegs.   

JEKAMIAS NZ (Lola Weidemann)– Caught three wide early before progressing to race outside the leader near the 1650 metres, then obtained one-out one-back cover from ARKIN WICKED near the 1350 metres.

KUZMA (Brendan Barnes)– Commenced a three-wide run from a rearward trailing position leaving the 800 metres before giving ground over the concluding stages.

ARKIN WICKED (Grant Dixon) – After initially restraining at the start, raced three wide with cover in the early stages before progressing forward to occupy the position outside the leader near the 1350 metres.

RADIANT AMBER (Bryse McElhinney)– Commenced a three-wide run without cover from a rearward trailing position leaving the 800 metres. Inclined to shift ground under pressure during the run to the finish.                      

BUBBA NAY (Nathan Dawson)– Paced roughly leaving the 500 metres while attempting to improve wider on the track.

Race 2 – HAPPY RETIREMENT REG VIDLER PACE    1780M  [MS]

OUR DOLLY (Zac Chappenden)– Pulled hard during the score-up. Severely checked leaving the 500 metres when ARKUNA broke gait, resulting in the driver being dislodged from the sulky. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. The mare lost a near-side fore shoe and an off-side hind shoe during the incident.

ARKUNA (Grant Dixon) – Broke gait leaving the 500 metres, resulting in severe interference to trailing runners and causing driver G Dixon being dislodged from the sulky. Connections were advised that the mare will be stood down until completing a satisfactory trial before resuming racing.

SNIP OF BEAUTY (Jonah Hutchinson)– Shifted inwards and contacted a marker peg when turning into the back straight on the final occasion. Severely checked leaving the 500 metres when ARKUNA broke gait, resulting in the mare being retired from the event.

DIPPED IN SILVER (Paige Bevan)- Severely checked leaving the 500 metres when ARKUNA broke gait, resulting in the driver being dislodged from the sulky. Driver Paige Bevan was examined and assessed by on-course paramedics and subsequently stood down from her remaining driving engagement. A medical clearance will be required before she is permitted to resume driving.

MAYWYNS KAREN (Angus Garrard)- Failed to take part in the preliminary circle. Severely checked leaving the 500 metres when ARKUNA broke gait, resulting in the driver being dislodged from the sulky. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the off-hind leg. Acting on veterinary advice, MAYWYNS KAREN was stood down for a period of seven (7) days.

Race 3 – ASPLEY MAZDA CARS, COMMUNITY & CULTURE PACE    1780M  [MS]

DIEGO DELGADO – Zac Chappenden was approved as the replacement driver for Paige Bevan.

ERASMUS (Jordan Topping) - Broke gait clear of interference rounding the first turn, losing valuable ground. After considering the gelding’s good record in this regard, connections were advised that ERASMUS has been placed on its last chance to race truly.

SAMMYS SECRET (Matt Elkins)– Caught wide in the early stages before being restrained to the rear of the field near the 1350 metres.

MISSED CONSEQUENCES (Grant Dixon)– Showed gate speed to race outside the leader throughout.

SMIRKS LIKA BOSS (Mitch Cox)– Having not started in a race since 15 May 2025 and in accordance with QRIC guidelines, the gelding underwent a pre-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities.

FEELIN FLIRTY (Brendan Barnes)– Inconvenienced rounding the first turn when ERASMUS broke gait.

Race 4 – MEMBERS DRAW WINNER - STEVE FUREY PACE    2040M  [MS]

KIWI ROYALTY (Trent Hodges)– Shifted inwards and contacted a marker peg when rounding the turn into the back straight on the final occasion.

WANDARY DELIGHT (Ben Battle)– Caught wide in the early stages before progressing forward to obtain the position leading the one-wide line near the 1500 metres.

SHAKATIE (Zac Chappenden)– Caught wide in the early stages and was subsequently restrained to the rear of the field near the 1650 metres.

LA SABINA NZ (Angus Garrard)– Shifted out from a position behind the leader rounding the turn into the front straight on the first occasion, progressing forward to take the lead near the 1600 metres.

LULU LUCIFER (Lola Weidemann)– Failed to take part in the preliminary circle.

MISTER DELWIN (Nathan Dawson) – Contacted and dislodged a marker peg upon entering the sprint lane in the run to the finish. Driver N Dawson was subsequently reprimanded under AHR rule 163(1)(c)(ii).

General:

Nathan Dawson, driver of MISTER DELWIN, was reprimanded under AHR rule 163(1)(c)(ii) for allowing his sulky wheel to contact and dislodge a marker peg when entering the sprint lane in the run to the finish.

Race 5 – 2025 LADBROKES TROTTERS CHRISTMAS CUP    2280M  [MS]

ILLUSORY FEAT (Jack Chapple)– Hung inwards rounding the turn into the front straight with a lap remaining, resulting in the sulky wheel contacting two (2) marker pegs.

ALADDIN SANE NZ (Grant Dixon)– Contacted and dislodged a marker peg on the home turn when racing in restricted room.

DAIMYO (Brendan Barnes)– Over-raced and pulled hard during the early and middle stages while leading.

GRACIAS NZ (Angus Garrard)– Worked forward at the start to lead the one-wide line throughout.

WHIRLWIND WILBUR (Matt Elkins) – Caught wide in the early stages and was subsequently restrained to the rear of the field near the 1900 metres.

SUPER SERVICE (Matt Crone)– Out of position at the start and will continue to be drawn wide in future mobile events. Shifted in and contacted a marker peg near the 1250 metres. Raced ungenerously before breaking gait near the 900 metres. A warning was issued.

DEXTROUS DEXTER (Zac Chappenden) – Tired badly over the final 500 metres, finishing ninth and last, beaten in excess of 88 metres. Stewards deemed the performance below the required standard and advised connections the gelding would be placed on its last chance to race competitively.

Race 6 - 2025 DOOLITTLE LODGE CHRISTMAS CUP    2280M  [MS]

ROCK NIEN (Nathan Dawson)– Showed gate speed to race outside the leader throughout. Hung inwards when making the turn into the back straight on the final occasion before giving ground over the concluding stages.

ROSIE POLLEN (Nathan Rothwell)– Pulled hard during the score-up. Caught wide in the early stages and was subsequently restrained to the rear of the field near the 1900 metres.

PUNTERS JEWEL (Mathew Neilson)- Pulled hard during the score-up. Caught wide in the early stages and, after failing to obtain a more forward position, was restrained to the rear of the field leaving the 1850 metres. Over-raced and pulled hard during the early and middle stages while racing in that position.

Race 7 – 2025 REDCLIFFE GUINEAS    2280M  [MS]

THREEOEIGHT (Lola Weidemann)– Hung inwards and contacted marker pegs when making the turn into the back straight on the final occasion before giving ground over the concluding 600 metres.

BLING THE NOISE (David Stewart)– Hung outwards leaving the 500 metres, momentarily pacing roughly and losing ground.

MARDIBRINGSAPARTY (Nathan Dawson)– Showed gate speed to race outside the leader before obtaining the position behind the leader near the 2000 metres. Over-raced and pulled hard during the early and middle stages while racing in that position. Shifted inwards and contacted a marker peg when turning into the back straight on the final occasion.

XPRESS PARTY (Angus Garrard)– Caught wide in the early stages before being restrained to the rear of the field near the 1950 metres. Improved three wide from the rear leaving the 1350 metres, obtaining the position outside the leader near the 1000 metres.

WICKED SUSAN (Gary Bond)– Raced wide shortly after the start before being restrained to a one-out, one-back position leaving the 2100 metres. Subsequently led the one-wide line until obtaining cover from OUR ULTIMATE MILLY near the 1700 metres.

OUR ULTIMATE MILLY (Jack Chapple)– Improved three wide from a rearward trailing position leaving the 1950 metres, obtaining the position outside the leader near the 1700 metres, where raced until securing one-out, one-back cover from XPRESS PARTY near the 1000 metres.

RACANA NZ (Mathew Neilson)– Inconvenienced and momentarily paced roughly near the 450 metres when BLING THE NOISE lost ground after hanging outwards and pacing roughly. Hung inwards under pressure over the latter stages of the home straight. Lost a near-side hind shoe near the 1600 metre point, which may have placed the filly at some disadvantage thereafter.

Race 8 – 2025 BURWOOD STUD 2YO FEATURE    1780M  [MS]

GIRL POWER (Grant Dixon)– Raced outside the leader throughout.

THREEFIVEONE (Lola Weidemann) – Pulled hard during the score-up before breaking gait, resulting in the filly being out of position by a considerable margin at the start. Connections were advised that THREEFIVEONE will be excluded from the barrier draw for future mobile starts until Stewards are satisfied it can perform in the desired manner.               

LOUMINATE (Trent Dawson)- Shifted inwards and contacted a marker peg when entering the back straight on the first occasion.

Race 9 – DRIVER OF THE NIGHT - ZAC CHAPPENDEN MAIDEN PACE    1780M  [MS]

WICKED MACK (Matt Elkins)- Raced outside the leader for the majority of the event.

THREE UNDER PAR (John Ballin)– Having not started since 10 July 2025, and in accordance with QRIC guidelines, the gelding underwent a pre-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities. Caught three wide in the early stages before being restrained to the rear of the field near the 1350 metres. Reinstated in the mobile barrier draw after satisfying QRIC requirements with two (2) consecutive successful mobile starts.

SERGENTMAJOR JUJON (Grant Dixon)– Reinstated in the mobile barrier draw after satisfying QRIC requirements with two (2) consecutive successful mobile starts.

TARIFF TIME (Nathan Dawson)– Hung inwards under pressure on straightening in the run to the finish.
