Race 1 - STU VALENTINE FOR BLOODSTOCK INSURANCE PACE (SKY 2)         1780M

Adrenaline Rush led the one wide line prior to gaining the one out oner back trail near the 1400 metres.

Flo Ryda NZ worked forward three wide to take over the position leading the one wide line near the 1400 metres.

Angelic She Aint’s inside sulky wheel contacted a marker peg near the 1400 metres when the gelding was racing in tight quarters. 

Race 2 – PELICAN WATERS RESORT PACE   1780M

Sii Sempre Tilly utilised the sprint lane to finish second. Brushed a marker peg entering the home straight however gained no unfair advantage.

Tralee Maxie led the one wide line throughout.

Rockslide caught racing three wide for the first 450 metres eventually being restrained to the rear of the field.

She Dazzles broke free of interference near the 550 metres - placed on her last chance to race truly.

Deecee Rockin checked by a galloping runner near the 550 metres.

Race 3 - BURWOOD STUD PACE        2040M

Feelin Flirty checked when the preceding runner choked down near the 1300 metres.

Allmighty Max pulled extremely hard whilst leading resulting in the gelding suddenly giving ground near the 1300 metres and being retired from the race. Driver Nathan Rothwell subsequently reported that the gelding had choked down – stood down from racing until its completion of a satisfactory requalifying trial.   

Ashlee Nitro led the one wide line prior to gaining a one out one back trail near the 1450 metres then subsequently dropped in to the position trailing the leader near the 1350 metres.

Offyarocka Crocker issued a strong challenge for the lead over the first 400 metres eventually gaining the lead near the 1350 metres. Driver Layne Dwyer fined $200 under the provisions of AHRR156(2(a) for utilizing his whip with more than a wrist only flicking motion at various stages of the race.

Docta Feelgood checked as a result of a preceding runner choking down. Over raced throughout the middle stages of the race. 

Race 4 - COMFORT INN NORTHGATE PACE   1780M

Tegan Lee raced in a three back peg line position prior to giving ground from the 250 metres. It was noted that the filly completed the race having dropped her near side knee boot.

Rollonx surrendered the lead near the 1350 metres.

Gabbys Ideal briefly led the one wide line prior to gaining a one out one back trail near the 1250 metres. 

Foveaux Major NZ was held up for clear running on the final turn prior to utilising the sprint lane to finish third.

Explanation Noted raced in a pegline trailing position prior to shifting out to lead the one wide line near the 1250 metres.

Maffioso Girl worked forward from the second line to take over the lead near the 1350 metres. Hung out entering the home straight – a warning was issued. Driver Matt Elkins fined $100 under the provisions of AHRR170(2) for allowing his body to protrude beyond the sulky.

Race 5 – DRIVER OF THE NIGHT MATHEW NEILSON PACE   1780M

Jay Tee Tyron NZ withstood a short early challenge for the lead. Hung in entering the home straight with its inside sulky wheel contacting a marker peg when simultaneously tightened for ground.

Favreau led the one wide line prior to gaining a one out one back trail near the 1200 metres. Had difficulty gaining a clear run to the finish – not fully tested.

Substitooth commenced a three wide run from a rearward position near the 1350 metres to take over the position leading the one wide line near the 1200 metres.

Illbewatching failed to gain a clear run to the finish.

Race 6 - MEMBERS DRAW GEORGE MONTEBELLO PACE    1780M

Nuclear Bling surrendered the lead near the 1450 metres.

Isla And Addie gained a one out oner back trail near the 1350 metres.

Hoiho NZ worked forward three wide to take over the position leading the one wide line near 1350 metres. Gave ground over the concluding stages.

Mullum Boy worked forward to the lead at the 1450 metres.

Sammys Secret inconvenienced by a tiring runner on the final turn.

Race 7 - GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND 0 TO 3 WINS PACE            2040M

Stewards delayed the All Clear to enable them to review the official race videos to ensure that Lincoln Hart had received a fair start. After reviewing the videos Stewards determined that the gelding had indeed received a fair start and the All Clear was given on the Judge’s numbers.

Three One Four led the one wide line prior to gaining a one out one back trail near the 950 metres.

Ollie One Shot worked forward three wide to take over the position leading the one wide line near the 950 metres. Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten in excess of 91 metres – stood down from racing for a poor performance until it completes a satisfactory requalifying trial.

Kiss On The Beach broke in the score up and was out of position when the start was effected - continue out of the draw in mobile barrier races.             

Jogalong Coop broke free of interference near the 1700 metres – having considered the gelding’s recent record Stewards ordered it stood down from racing until its completion of a satisfactory requalifying trial.

Lincoln Hart broke in the score up and was out of position when the start was effected - placed out of the draw in mobile barrier races.  

Pablos Art tired over the concluding stages to be beaten in excess of 56 metres – placed on its last chance to race competitively.

Race 8 – FASTEST LAST QUARTER FEBRUARY - MAYWYN BONTON BOY 27.7 PAC 2040M

Lord Denzel tired over the concluding stages – placed on its last chance to race competitively.

Race 9 – AQWA CONSTRUCTIONS 1 WIN PACE         1780M

Shezamaterialgirl utilised the sprint lane to win.

Pennie Packer, the $1.25 favourite, led however, the filly was run down to finish second. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality apart from a mildly reduced recovery rate. Driver Pete McMullen told the Stewards that he was slightly disappointed with the performance however, he believes the heavier than usual track surface had a negative impact on the filly’s performance. Stewards noted the explanation.

Deep Regret led the one wide line prior to gaining a one out one back trail in the early stages.

My Ultimate Cossie worked forward three wide in the early stages to take over the position leading the one wide line. 

Singer Snap tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 80 metres – placed on its last chance to race competitively.  

Ideal Perfection broke free of interference near the 1400 metres – placed on its last chance to race truly.

Race 10 - HUSTLER FASTRAK MAIDEN PACE            1780M

Creedence’s driver Brendan Barnes was reprimanded under the provisions of AHRR170(2) for  allowing his body to protrude beyond the sulky.

Trustfull was fractious in the prerace circle – a warning was issued.

Shemozzle led the one wide line prior to gaining a one out one back trail after 350 metres. 

Fancy Like Barbie worked forward three wide to take over the position leading the one wide line after 400 metres. Gained s one out one back trail near the 1300 metres.

Great Achiever raced wide until taking over the position leading the one wide line near the 1300 metres.
