Race 1 - POWER UP LAWN MOWERS PACE     1780M  [MS]

ALLMIGHTY MAX (Shane Graham) – Successfully withstood a challenge for the lead from MAJIC MOMENT NZ (Layne Dwyer) shortly after the start to lead the event before once more successfully withstanding a brief challenge for the lead from MAJIC MOMENT NZ leaving the 1400metres to lead throughout.

LAST CALL (Mathew Neilson) - Having not started in a race since 3 April 2024 and in accordance with QRIC guidelines, the mare was examined before the race by the veterinarian which revealed no apparent abnormalities. Weakened over the concluding stages of the event after racing in a three-back marker-line position throughout.

MAJIC MOMENT NZ (Layne Dwyer) – Gate speed however, was unsuccessful in challenging for the lead shortly after the start and as a result was obliged to race outside the leader prior to once again unsuccessful in a brief challenge for the lead leaving the 1400metres resulting in the mare racing outside the leader throughout.  

ROCK NIEN (Bryse McElhinney) – Caught-wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to obtain the one-out one-back position near the 1350metres. Commenced a three-wide run late with no cover from its one-out one-back position leaving the 700metres before hanging inwards under pressure rounding the final bend.   

BLUE SUEDE ROCKA (Adam Richardson) – Commenced a trailing three-wide run late from a rearward trailing position leaving the 700metres. Hung inwards under pressure passing the 250metres.  

MISSTREPO (Nathan Dawson) – Out of its allotted gate position at the candy pole however was in position when the start was effected.

BLACKJACK BART (Adam Sanderson) – Commenced a trailing three-wide run late from a midfield trailing position leaving the 700metres.

WAR CLUB (Jonah Hutchinson) – Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish.

Race 2 – LADBROKES RACING CLUB PACE     1780M  [MS]

EMMALEEN (Dean Belford) – Broke gait clear of interference turning into the back straight on the first occasion when leading the one-wide line. Trailed the field thereafter. After considering a good record in this regard, connections were advised EMMALEEN would be placed on its last chance to race truly.

ARTISTIC SAINT (Jordan Topping) – Overraced and pulled hard during the early and middle stages of the event whilst leading. Hung in rounding the final turn, contacting a marker peg and was quickly corrected by its driver.  

DOOLITTLE DEXTER (Layne Dwyer) – Severely checked shortly after turning into the back straight on the first occasion as a result of EMMALEEN breaking gait before sustaining a near-side flat sulky tyre after it was contacted by MAYWYNS KAREN (Shane Graham) as a result of the incident and was retired from the event shortly afterwards.

MAYWYNS KAREN (Shane Graham) - Having not started in a race since 11 April 2024 and in accordance with QRIC guidelines, the filly was examined before the race by the veterinarian which revealed no apparent abnormalities. Severely checked shortly after turning into the back straight on the first occasion as a result of EMMALEEN breaking gait before unintentionally contacting and puncturing the near-side sulky tyre of DOOLITTLE DEXTER (Layne Dwyer) as a result of the incident. Trailed the field thereafter.

MAJOR LINCOLN (Nathan Dawson) – Caught-wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to obtain the position leading the one-wide line near the 1450metres.

LOVIN MISS DIXIE (Darren McCall) - Severely checked with driver Darren McCall momentarily unseated shortly after turning into the back straight on the first occasion as a result of EMMALEEN breaking gait.

Race 3 - GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND UP TO NR70 HEAT 2      1780M  [MS]

GINA DEL RAY (Mathew Neilson) – Successfully withstood a brief challenge for the lead from DOCTA FEELGOOD (Leonard Cain) shortly after the start to lead the event.

FLO RYDA NZ (Jack Chapple) – Severely checked by CALL ME KEITH NZ (Nathan Dawson) leaving the 250metres and broke gait as a result. An examination by the veterinarian subsequent to the race found the gelding to have a medial off-fore heel cut and was treated however acting on veterinary advice, no stand down was necessitated.

DOCTA FEELGOOD (Leonard Cain) – Gate speed however, was unsuccessful in briefly challenging for the lead shortly after the start and as a result was obliged to race outside the leader up until obtaining cover from MADRIGAL NZ (Adam Richardson) near the 1400metres.

MADRIGAL NZ (Adam Richardson) – Raced three-wide in the early stages before progressing forward to obtain the position outside the leader near the 1400metres before gaining one-out one-back cover from MISTER REACTOR (Shane Graham) approaching the 1200metres.

MISTER REACTOR (Shane Graham) – Raced three-wide with a trail in the early stages before working forward three-wide with no cover in the middle stages to attain the position outside the leader approaching the 1200metres, where raced for the remainder.

CALL ME KEITH NZ (Nathan Dawson) – Broke gait clear of interference leaving the 250metres when trailing the leader. After considering a good record in this regard, connections were advised CALL ME KEITH NZ  would be placed on its last chance to race truly.

Race 4 - REDCLIFFE LEAGUES CLUB PACE     1780M  [MS]

TRALEE MAXIE (Layne Dwyer) – Shifted out under pressure in the run to the finish.

ROLLING BONUS (Nathan Dawson) – Raced three-wide in the early stages of the event before progressing forward to obtain the position outside the leader near the 1450metres. Inclined to overrace and pull hard during the middle stages whilst racing outside the leader before weakening over the concluding stages of the event.

FOR NO REASON (Adam Richardson) – Caught-wide shortly after the start before being restrained into a rearward trailing position. Commenced a three-wide run late with no cover from a rearward trailing position leaving the 650metres.

SNIP OF BEAUTY (Paige Bevan) – Inclined to overrace and pull hard during the early and middle stages of the event when positioned in a rearward marker-line position.

DEECEE ROCKIN (Chloe Butler) – Commenced a trailing three-wide run late from the rear of the field leaving the 650metres. Inclined to hang inwards under pressure in the home straight in the run to the finish.  

HOLME BOY (Jonah Hutchinson) – Hung-in, contacting a marker peg on the turn into the back straight and exiting the back straight on the final occasion when racing in a three-back marker-line position and a warning was issued. Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish.  

Race 5 – DRIVER OF THE NIGHT - LAYNE DWYER PACE     1780M  [MS]

SIR JUJON (Nathan Dawson) – Shifted in and contacted a marker peg rounding the home turn when trailing the leader. Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish.

ROCKINTHECITY (Jordan Topping) – Caught-wide shortly after the start before being restrained into a one-out one-back trailing position. Overraced and pulled extremely hard during the early and middle stages of the event whilst positioned in a one-out one-back position before commencing a three-wide run leaving the 1000metres, worked forward however, after failing to obtain the position outside the leader passing the winning post with a lap remaining, was obliged to race three-wide for the remainder until weakening over the concluding stages of the event.       

JIMMY JOYCE (Adam Richardson) – Shifted in and contacted a marker peg rounding the home turn when taking the racing line from the preceding runners which shifted in and contacted a marker peg.

CHANCELESS CENTURY (Trent Moffat) – Shifted in and contacted a marker peg rounding the home turn when taking the racing line from the preceding runner which shifted in and contacted a marker peg.

Race 6 - FASTEST LAST QUARTER IN SEPTEMBER - PUNTERS JEWEL 27.6 PACE     1780M  [MS]

SALS LAST BLAST (Mathew Neilson) – Beaten for speed shortly after the start. Inconvenienced leaving the 400metres when trailing GETALOADATHISBRO (Adam Richardson) which had commenced to yield ground.

SAMMYS SECRET (Leonard Cain) – Beaten for speed shortly after the start. Hung in and contacted a marker peg rounding the final turn in the run to the finish.

MY ULTIMATE RUDI (Shane Graham) – Raced in restricted racing room over the final 50metres requiring the driver to steady momentarily.  

MISTER DIAMOND (Trent Moffat) – Inconvenienced leaving the 400metres when trailing GETALOADATHISBRO (Adam Richardson) which had commenced to yield ground.

GETALOADATHISBRO (Adam Richardson) – Inclined to pull hard during the score-up. Gate speed to attain the lead turning out of the front straight after the start where raced up until giving ground over the final 400metres of the event to ultimately be beaten in excess of 57metres into ninth and last placing. An examination by the veterinarian subsequent to the race found no abnormalities at time of examination other than a slow post-race recovery. Stewards deemed the performance of GETALOADATHISBRO below the required standard and subsequently connections were advised the gelding will be placed on its last chance to race competitively.  

EXPLANATION NOTED (Layne Dwyer) – Hung in and contacted a marker peg on the turn into the back straight on the final occasion whilst racing in a rearward marker-line position. Held-up in the early stages of the home straight before obtaining clear running in the run to the finish.

ROCK IT BABY (Darren McCall) – Left a one-wide rearward trailing position leaving the 1300metres, working forward three-wide to take over the position outside the leader near the 1100metres.

Race 7 – PELICAN WATERS RESORT PACE     2040M  [MS]

LONG TIME COMING (Brendan Barnes) – Gate speed and led prior to giving ground badly over the final 800metres of the event to ultimately finish in a distant last placing. An examination by the veterinarian subsequent to the race found no abnormalities at time of examination other than a slow post-race recovery. Stewards deemed the performance of  LONG TIME COMING unsatisfactory and declared the gelding ineligible until it trials satisfactorily.

THREE MACHS (Leonard Cain) – Hung in and contacted a marker peg on the turn out of the front straight on the first occasion whilst racing in a midfield marker-line position. Inconvenienced leaving the 800metres when LONG TIME COMING commenced to yield ground.

JOGALONG COOP (Bryse McElhinney) – Inclined to hang inwards in the latter stages of the score up before momentarily pacing roughly shortly after the start. A warning was issued against the gelding’s starting manners. Raced three-wide in the early stages, continuing forward to obtain the position outside the leader turning into the front straight on the first occasion prior to working forward to the lead near the 950metres. Gave ground over the final 400metres of the event to ultimately be beaten in excess of 64metres into seventh placing. Trainer/Driver Bryse McElhinney was queried into the seemingly below market expectations performance of the gelding, after starting a $2.40 favourite in the event. Mr McElhinney expressed disappointment and could offer no tangible explanation for the performance other than the gelding being second-up from a spell, would derive benefit for the run. Stewards noted the explanation tendered however placed the gelding on its last chance to race competitively.  

SPORTY AZZ (Adam Richardson) – Caught-wide in the early stages and was restrained to the rear of the field.       

MACH TORQUE (Shane Graham) – Showed gate speed however was caught-wide in the early stages before being restrained into a midfield trailing position. Gave ground over the final 400metres of the event to ultimately be beaten in excess of 57metres into sixth placing. Trainer Ricky Hart was queried into the seemingly poor performance of the mare, which started at $5.00 in the event. Mr Hart advised the mare to be disappointing in tonight’s event and would be his intentions to freshen up MACH TORQUE before starting the mare again and would confine future race starts to the shorter trips. Stewards noted the explanation tendered however placed the mare on its last chance to race competitively.    

COBBLER LANE (Zac Chappenden) – Checked leaving the 800metres when trailing LONG TIME COMING which commenced to yield ground.

ENZED FLYER (Nathan Dawson) – Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish.

Race 8 - MEMBERS DRAW WINNER - ROBERT CLARK PACE     2040M  [MS]

SHAKATIE (Zac Chappenden) – Hung in, contacted and dislodged a marker peg entering the first turn after the start when leading. Weakened over the concluding stages of the event.

SPLIT EAR (Dan Russell) – Broke gait clear of interference on the turn out of the back straight on the final occasion whilst trailing the leader. After taking into consideration the recent racing record of SPLIT EAR in this regard, connections were advised the gelding will be required to complete 1(one) satisfactory requalifying trial prior to recommencing racing.  

SHADYS DELIGHT (Hannah Anforth) – Caught-wide in the early stages and was restrained to the rear of the field.     

DEVOUGED (Adam Richardson) – Left a one-wide midfield trailing position passing the 1600metres, working forward three-wide taking over the position outside the leader leaving the 1350metres, where raced for the remainder.

MATAI REACTOR (Jonah Hutchinson) – Overraced and pulled hard during the middle stages of the event whilst racing in a midfield trailing position.

Race 9 - MAZDA ASPLEY MAIDEN PACE     1780M  [MS]

BERNICES LOVE (Brendan Barnes) – Inclined to hang in whilst leading rounding the final turn before shifting out under pressure in the run to the finish. Driver fined unapproved whip use [AHRR156(3)].

BECKYS DIAMONDS (Nathan Dawson) – Broke gait clear of interference near the 450metres when racing in the position outside the leader. After taking into consideration the recent racing record of BECKYS DIAMONDS in this regard, connections were advised the filly will be required to complete 1(one) satisfactory requalifying trial prior to recommencing racing.  

THREEOEIGHT (Leonard Cain) – Out of position when the start was effected. Stewards giving consideration to this being THREEOEIGHT first official race start, placed the gelding on it’s last chance in the mobile draw.

TAKE COURAGE (Jonah Hutchinson) – Caught-wide in the early stages and after failing to obtain a more forward position in the event, the filly was restrained to the rear of the field.       

TENGGERI (Zac Chappenden) – Caught-wide in the early stages before being restrained into a rearward trailing position. Commenced a trailing three-wide run late from the rear of the field leaving the 700metres prior to locking sulky wheels with SISTER JUJON (Adam Sanderson) leaving the 500metres resulting in the gelding losing valuable ground.

THE SQUARE DANCER (Mathew Neilson) – Reinstated in the barrier draw for races conducted under mobile start conditions after satisfying QRIC requirements with the completion of two(2) successful consecutive mobile starts. Hung out on the first turn after the start before restraining to the rear of the field and a warning was issued. Commenced a three-wide run late with no cover from the rear of the field passing the winning post with a lap remaining. Inconvenienced passing the 450metres when having to shift wider on the track to avoid the galloping BECKYS DIAMONDS.  

ROCKSNGEMS (Jack Chapple) – Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish.

SISTER JUJON (Adam Sanderson) – Commenced to weaken prior to locking sulky wheels with TENGGERI (Zac Chappenden) leaving the 500metres resulting in the filly losing valuable ground.

General:

BRENDAN BARNES, driver of Bernices Love was fined the sum of $200 under AHR Rule 156 (3) for applying the whip in a continuous manner over the concluding stages of the event.
