Race 1 - STU VALENTINE FOR BLOODSTOCK INSURANCE PACE  1780M

JAZIAH - Stewards directed the mare undergo a prerace veterinary inspection having not started in a race since December 2023. Jaziah was passed fit to take its place in the field. It was noted the mare tired in the concluding stages to finish in last position.

General

Jordon Topping (Artistic Saint) was fined $200 under AHR rule 156(2)(a) for engaging the elbow and shoulder when applying the whip in the concluding stages.

Race 2 – LADBROKES BET TICKER PACE  1780M

JIMMY BLING - inconvenienced at the 700 metres when Forgive Me galloped.

FORGIVE ME - broke gait free of interference when leading at the 700 metres and lost considerable ground. After considering a good record in this regard, connections were advised the mare will be placed on its last chance to race truly.

ALLMIGHTY MAX - severely checked at the 700 metres when Forgive Me galloped.

MIGHTY GEORGE NZ - severely checked and galloped leaving the 700 metres when Forgive Me galloped.

Race 3 - GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND PACE  2040M

DIPPED IN SILVER – Inclined to shift out under pressure in the run to the finish. Connections were advised to take corrective measures.

Race 4 - ELDERS PROPERTY MANAGEMENT PACE  1780M

GET ME OUTTA HERE - failed to run on after racing without cover and finished in last position beaten 44 metres. A subsequent veterinary examination failed to reveal anything amiss. Trainer Dan Russell advised Stewards the gelding was not suited in tonight’s race conditions by being positioned outside the leader and this had a bearing on its overall performance.

BOKHARI - raced roughly after the start and galloped shortly after. Connections were advised the mare will be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile starts.

Race 5 – DRIVER OF THE NIGHT - PAIGE BEVAN PACE  2040M

No racing incidents.

Race 6 - STEVIE REDBACK PEST CONTROL 0 TO 3 WINS PACE  1780M

No racing incidents.

Race 7 – BURWOOD STUD 2YO MAIDEN PACE  1780M

LET THEM SAY - having its first race start and was positioned three back on the marker pegs but failed to run on in the concluding stages and finished a distant last beaten 88 metres. Stewards directed a veterinary examination be carried out on the filly which revealed no abnormalities. Trainer Shane Graham was disappointed with the performance and stated he would not nominate the filly to race until he was satisfied it would perform to a competitive standard. On this undertaking, Stewards took no further action other than to note Shane Graham’s intentions.

WHYKIKAMOOCOW - raced wide for the first 800 metres and was unsuccessful in obtaining a forward position which resulted in the gelding being restrained to the rear of the field. Back in the mobile draw after two successful consecutive starts.

Race 8 - MEMBERS DRAW WINNER - DOUGLAS DAVIS PACE  1780M

GIDUP CAPTAIN - raced wide for the first 600 metres before working forward to obtain the position outside the leader. Back in the mobile draw after two successful consecutive starts.

Race 9 - DARREN EBERT & CO MAIDEN PACE  1780M

BOLD PERSONALITY - hung out sharply after the start and a warning was issued.

DIGBY JOY - back in the mobile draw after two successful consecutive starts.

KEAYANG AVA - raced behind the leader but gave ground in the final lap to finish a distant last beaten 95 metres. Connections were advised the filly will be placed on its last chance to race competitively.
