Stewards Report

The sprint lane was in operation at tonights event.

Trainers with multiple runners in any one race provided Stewards with their intentions prior to the event.

RACE 1 – TUCKER HARNESS RACING STABLE PACE – 1609MS

BARNEY FELLA (M Smith) hung inwards home turn final occasion tightening the ground of ILLAWONG KIM (K Weidenbach) and a warning was issued.

RACE 2– MUSCLE M UP USA @ TRUMP BLOODSTOCK EMERGING STARS TROTTERS SERIES (HEAT 4)  2050MS

BISHOP GEORGE (K Wilson) hung inwards on the home turn final occasion contacting and dislodging a marker peg and a warning was issued

RACE 3 – RISDON HOTEL PACE – 2050MS

LINCS POOR BOY (D Hill) which galloped in the score up and trailed the field thereafter will be excluded from the draw in future mobile barrier races.

Reinsperson Michael Smith (ALL AUSSIE MACH) was fined $50 under R162(1)(j) for failing to maintain his position prior to the start.

Reinsperson Bernadette Page (SPORTING RAGE) was fined $100 under R162 (1) (y) for whilst leading the first half of the last mile in 66.2 seconds setting a time outside the prescribed time of 64 seconds.

Reinsperson Kevin Weidenbach (WHITESTARCHRISTIAN) was reprimanded under R163(1)(a)(i) for when crossing NICELY SPOKEN (A Robinson) turning into the back straight on the first occasion allowing minimal room.

RACE 4 – FIVE540 SERVICES PACE– 1609MS

RACE 5 -  LADBROKES SOUTHERN CROSS PACE  1609MS

JAMAICAN ROCK (A Robinson) was out of position at the start and will continue to be excluded from barrier draw in mobile barrier races.

Reinsperson Jason Kittel (CLARENDEN EXPRESS) was reminded to ensure he fully maintains position until a start is called.

The right foot of Mathew Harding (BAY JIM MAJOR) momentarily came out of sulky footrest near the 50 metres.

RACE 6 – BIRRELL HEAVY TILT AND TRANSPORT TROTTERS HANDICAP – 2050SS

Stewards advised the starter he must ensure all horses are fully on the racing surface prior to effecting a start.

Warnings were placed on BUCKLES (D Smith) and ILLAWONG MOONBEAM (M Smith) which both galloped from the barrier.

A warning was placed on YOU REALLY GOT ME (J Holberton) which galloped on three occasions.

The near side sulky tyre of LOVELORN was contacted by MY BAD HABITS (B Page) near the finish of the race and deflated as a result.

ALDEBARAN STILES (D Hill) utilised the sprint lane to win the race.

RACE 7 – FRANK BORG MILE PACE – 1609MS

Reinsperson Jason Kittel was fined $100 under R156 (2)(iii) for using his whip with overt force.

FLETCHAS ROY (K Weidenbach) was reinstated in the draw for mobile barrier races.

RACE 8 –  KAUSCHKE’S DISCOUNT PAINT PACE – 1609MS

MOTHER OF PEARL (W Hill) galloped approaching the turn off the back straight after the start and checked PLACES YOU DON’T (M Harding). A warning was issued.

BACKPADDOCKJACK (A Robinson) hung inwards near the 400 metres and contacted BOURDAIN (D Afford) which resulted in DOLLY MISS MOLLY (K Weidenbach) ,PLACES YOU DON’T (M Harding) and BETTORS BOY (B Loades) all being checked.

BACKPADDOCKJACK (A Robinson) will be stood down until it completes a satisfactory trial.

RACE DAY SUMMARY
