Stewards Report

The sprint lane was in operation for tonights event.

Trainers with multiple runners in any one race provided Stewards with their intentions prior to the event.

RACE 1 –2024 LADBROKES 2YO TROTTERS PARKER CLASSIC (HEAT 3)– 1609SS

LICKADEE SPLIT (B Loades) was a late scratching at 5:51pm on veterinary advice as it was lame in off foreleg. Trainer advised the gelding is stood down until veterinary clearance tendered.

SUNNY MAJESTY (D Smith) was able to obtain a run inside CHICAGO BREEZE (B Page) leaving the winning post with a lap to run when CHICAGO BREEZE shifted ground. SUNNY MAJESTY hung inwards and dislodged a marker peg after leaving front straight.

A post-race veterinary examination of SUNNY MAJESTY revealed it was showing signs of a virus and was treated by oncourse veterinary officer. Trainer Luke O’Neill was advised the filly would be stood down for seven days.

FEEL THE MOMENT (R Hryhorec) utilised the sprint lane to win the race.

RACE 2 – MIDSTATE HARDWARE PACE– 1609MS

ALWAYS TORQUE TOME (C Johnson) was out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver and a warning issued.

RACE 3 – HYGAIN RELEASE PACE - 1609MS

WHITE STAR VILLAGE (R Moore) attempted to take a run to the inside of CELESTIAL DAYBREAK (S Loone) in front straight final occasion and was forced to check off marker pegs.

RACE 4 – LAUCKE MILLS PACE – 1609MS

Warning placed on WITH AUTHORITY (J Kittel) which was out of position at start despite efforts of the driver.

RACE 5 – CLM QUARRIES PACE– 1609MS

The start was delayed when the mobile barrier malfunctioned, and a replacement unit was required.

A post-race veterinary examination of RUMBLE ALONG (W Hill) which led the race before giving ground near 400 metres to be beaten 30 metres revealed no abnormalities. Trainer to advise should anything arise post-race.

RACE 6 – OSBORNE FODDER PACE – 2050MS

RACE 7 – MCBRIDE MAINTENANCE PACE – 1609MS

Reinsperson Jason Kittel (JAKES SPORTWRITER) fined $100 under R162(1)(y) for whilst leading first half of the last mile in 64:8 seconds outside prescribed time 64 seconds.

Stewards issued a reprimand to Jason Kittel under R162(ww) for allowing his drive to shift ground up the track over concluding stages.

RACE 8 – SD CAPUTO & SONS PACE – 1609MS

A warning placed on GOSILKY (T Brown) which commenced slowly.
