RACE 1 – COACHMAN HOTEL LADYSHIP PACE– 1660 metres

SIX TIMES A LADY NZ – Held up for clear racing room in the early stages of the home straight.

MENDOZA LASS – Pre-race sample. Fractious in the early stages of the score up.

ROSTOVA – Out of position in the score up and at the start. A warning was issued against the starting manners of the mare. Over-raced during the early and middle stages.

WARRAWEE FLYER – Post-race sample.

ALWAYSBMINNIE – Directed out into a four wide position leaving the winning post with one lap to travel. It was established thatWARRAWEE FLYER (Jett Turnbull) was directed into a three wide position ahead of ALWAYSBMINNIE, however due to the quick speed that ALWAYSBMINNIE was improving the mare raced four wide for a short distance before being restrained and racing three wide for the final 600m.

 

RACE 2 –TELESCOPE TYRES PACE – 2040 metres

GOODTIME JUNIOR – Pre-race sample. Hung in upon entering the home straight on the final occasion, contacting the outside sulky wheel of SPORTY MICKILLA, which was racing to the inside of GOODTIME JUNIOR. GOODTIME JUNIOR then galloped clear of interference and a warning was issued against the racing manners of gelding.

SPORTY MICKILLA – Outside sulky wheel contacted upon entering the home straight on the final occasion when GOODTIME JUNIOR hung in.

DUN SPRUIKIN – Post-race sample.

GABBYS SPORTSTAR – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the mare having in excess of 200 race starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities. Over-raced during the early and middle stages.

 

RACE 3 –TERRY BROTHERS PARKES PACE – 1660 metres

General – The All Clear was delayed at the request of Trainer/ Driver Brett Hutchings (JESSIEJAMES SHANNON) 2nd placing to allow Stewards to again review the official Photo Finish. After reviewing the Photo Finish Stewards were satisfied that there was a margin between 1st placing – TULHURST PEBBLES and 2nd placing – JESSIEJAMES SHANNON and the All clear was then announced.

BOTTLE ROCK NZ – Over-raced during the early and middle stages.

CALA GRECA – Galloped in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was issued against the starting manners of the CALA GRECA. Driver Jason Turnbull was reminded of his obligations in relation to restraining his drives once in a gallop.

TULHURST PEBBLES – Post-race sample.

NOVA JO – Over-raced during the early and middle stages.

JOES REDEMPTION –Held up and unable to gain any clear running in the home straight on the final occasion.

REASON TO PARTY – Pre-race sample. Held up for clear racing room in the latter stages of the home straight on the final occasion.

 

RACE 4 – DEANS HYDRAULICS PACE - 1660 metres

IRK MCGLURK – Pre-race sample.

PALE FACE JO – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding not having started in a race since July 2022. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities. Tightened for racing room to the inside of ARE YOU WITH ME upon entering the home straight on the final occasion.

TWISTED MISTRESS – Post-race sample.

ARE YOU WITH ME – Driver Nathan Townsend was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for directing his drive inwards toward the marker peg line, momentarily tightening the racing room of PALE FACE JO upon entering the home straight on the final occasion.

             

RACE 5 – MEDLYNS/CASTROL PACE – 1660 metres

General – The All Clear was delayed to allow Stewards the opportunity to view the replays of the start. It was established that RIVERINA FLASH galloped prior to the start being affected however did not interfere with any runner drawn the second row until after the start. As Stewards were satisfied that no runners were denied a fair start before that start being affected the All Clear was announced.

THE RINGMASTER – Galloped in the early stages of score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was issued against the racing manners of the gelding.

RIVERINA FLASH – Galloped out at the start and inconvenienced LIZZADRO. A warning was issued against the starting manners of RIVERINA FLASH.

HARLEY JAMES – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding attaining the age of 12yrs. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities. Pre-race sample.

BURRABADINE BULLET – Post-race sample.

MAJOR JAMANE – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding attaining the age of 12yrs. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities. Held up and unable to gain any clear running in the home straight on the final occasion.

LIZZADRO – Inconvenienced after the start when trailing RIVERINA FLASH when that runner gallop. Hung in, hung out and paced roughly at different stages of the race. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Connections were advised that LIZZADROwould be placed on its last chance to race truly.  

 

RACE 6 – PARKES FARM CENTRE PACE – 1660 metres

JAYMACK – Post-race sample.

MISS ZOZO FELLA – Pre-race sample. Galloped after the start, checking MISS BLUE STORK. MISS ZOZO FELLA was placed outside the mobile barrier draw. Hung in leaving the front straight with one lap to travel and again over the final 200m.  

PYEKAKARIKI – Paced roughly racing down the back straight on the final occasion.

JETS REASON – Inconvenienced at the 1300m when the speed of the race eased along the marker peg line.   

OUR GLADIATOR – Galloped clear of interference racing around the first turn. Paced roughly racing down the back straight on the final occasion. A warning was issued against the racing manners of OUR GLADIATOR.

WHISPERING KEV – Inside sulky wheel contacted at the 1300m by MISS BLUE STORK when the speed of the raced eased causing a chain reaction of runners on the marker peg line.Carried an inside flat tyre for the remainder of the race and was held up and unable to gain any clear running in the home straight on the final occasion.

MISS BLUE STORK – Checked after the start when trailing MISS ZOZO FELLA when that runner galloped. Checked at the 1300m when the speed of the race eased along the marker peg line and as a result raced up onto the inside sulky wheel of WHISPERING KEV resulting that runners inside tyre becoming flat.

 

RACE 7 – PARKES LEAGUES CLUB PACE – 1660 metres

FOREVER BETTOR NZ – Outside sulky wheel contacted at the 600m resulting in FOREVER BETTOR NZ carrying a flat outside tyre for the remainder.

BATED BREATH – Pre-race sample. Checked and locked wheels with DOUBLE MACH leaving the back straight on the final occasion. Driver Mat Rue was reprimanded under Rule 168(1)(a) for directing his drive to improve into a position where there was insufficient room.  

DOUBLE MACH – Over-raced when leading before commencing to give ground leaving the 500m. Locked wheels withBATED BREATHEleaving the back straight on the final occasion before then tiring to be beaten 61m. Driver Nathan Townsend contributed the performance to the gelding over-racing when leading. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. A warning was issued against the racing manners of DOUBLE MACH.

JIGGLE ART – Driver Nathan Turnbull was fined $200 under Rule 168(1)(a) for directing his drive wider at the 600m when insufficiently clear of the rear of the sulky of FOREVER BETTOR NZ,  resulting in JIGGLE ART contacting the outside sulky wheel of FOREVER BETTOR NZ from behind and FOREVER BETTOR NZ carrying a flat tyre for the remainder.

 

RACE 8 – TAB.COM.AU PACE - 1660 metres

SKYLAH ROCKS – Paced roughly in the middle stages of the score up and a warning was issued.Paced roughly at various stages throughout.

STAR GULLY EVE – Hung out racing down the back straight on the final occasion after leading. STAR GULLY EVE was placed on its last chance to race truly.

GLENBURNS WATERS –Inconvenienced racing around the first turn when AUNTY JAMIE galloped.

MISS PENDLE HILL –Inconvenienced racing around the first turn when AUNTY JAMIE galloped.

AUNTY JAMIE – Hung out and galloped racing around the first turn, inconveniencing GLENBURNS WATERS, MISS PENDLE HILL, LA FEAST and BASILS BLACKSPARRA. In assessing the recent poor racing manners of AUNTY JAMIE connections were advised that the filly would be stood down until the completion of two trials and for a period of 14 days.  

LA FEAST– Pre-race sample.

BASILS BLACKSPARRA – Inconvenienced racing around the first turn when AUNTY JAMIE galloped. Post-race sample.
