RACE 1 – PARKES LEAGUES CLUB PACE – 1660 metres

HARLEY JAMES– A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding being 12 years of age. No abnormalities were detected on either examination.

KUDOS MASON– Driver M Parsons was queried on the tactics and overall performance of the gelding when after leading the event tired over the final 300 metres to finish in 10th and last position beaten 48 metres. Ms Parsons explained it was her intention to lead the event and have the race run at a solid tempo as the horse has won racing in this manner in previous starts. She added although racing on the bit in the early stages was more than happy with the way the gelding was travelling but when placed under pressure at the 300 metres the gelding failed to respond and was disappointing in the run to the finish. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

NIKALONG MINT– Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 2 – TERRY BROTHERS CARPET COURT PACE – 1660 metres

MILLIONDOLLAR KISS– Negotiating the first turn was tightened for racing room and contacted the sulky wheel of LOGAN REASON when that runner shifted down the track when insufficiently clear. Post-race swab sample.

ITSALADY– Passing the 200 metres had a tendency to hang in and contact marker pegs.

LOGAN REASON– Driver M Day Jnr was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when negotiating the first turn he has allowed his runner to shift down the track when insufficiently clear of MILLIONDOLLAR KISS and as a result that runner has made contact to his inside sulky wheel racing in restricted room for a short distance.

JOES REDEMPTION– Had a tendency to shift out under pressure in the home straight on the final occasion.

MITTYS THREE ACES NZ– Pre-race blood sample. Held up for clear racing until the final 100 metres.

OUR SAILOR– Held up for clear racing room in the run to the finish and not fully tested.

 

RACE 3 – ALAN & ROS SANT APPRECIATION 3YO PACE – 1660 metres

MISS BLUE STORK– Driver J Reynolds was advised to exercise care when entering the home straight on the final occasion has allowed MISS BLUE STORK to shift up the track and as a result ONTHADARKSIDE was taken up the track causing CERISE RAINBOW to be inconvenienced.

SHES NO HONEY– Post-race swab sample.

CERISE RAINBOW– Pre-race blood sample. Entering the home straight on the final occasion was inconvenienced when ONTHADARKSIDE had been taken up the track by MISS BLUE STORK.

FULL OF SPICE– Attempted to buck in the middle stages of the score up breaking stride, and was out of position at the start. A warning was issued. The filly tailed the field for the entire race.

 

RACE 4 – PEAK HILL HARNESS RACING CLUB PACE – 2040 metres

MATTERSON EXPRESS– Broke stride shortly after the start. A warning was issued. Driver W Cassell pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when leaving the 300 metres he has allowed his runner to shift up the track when insufficiently clear of KARLOO DEEZER and as a result that runner was placed in restricted racing room and was checked and broke stride. Considering Mr Cassell’s guilty plea and record in relation to the rule, his licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of 7 days. This suspension is to commence midnight Friday 22 November 2024.

KARLOO DEEZER– Leaving the 300 metres was checked and broke stride when placed in restricted racing room between MATTERSON EXPRESS and BULLI BELLE as a result of MATTERSON EXPRESS shifting up the track when insufficiently clear.

JOHNNYS BLUE– Despite the efforts of its driver was out of position at the start. A warning was issued. Post-race swab sample.

BARRYS ROSE– Pre-race blood sample. Hung out shortly after the start and broke stride. A warning was issued. Leaving the 750 metres was inconvenienced when momentarily being forced to race wider than necessary when BULLI BELLE had shifted out.

BULLI BELLE– Pre-race blood sample. Driver M Day Jnr was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(b)(i) in that when leaving the 750 metres has shifted his runner wider when BARRYS ROSE was racing to his outside and as a result that runner was obliged to cover more ground than necessary for a short distance.

JIGGLE ART– Declared a late scratching at 7.15pm due to the gelding being injured on route to the track. JIGGLE ART will be stood down for 7 days and the presentation of a veterinary certificate of clearance prior to racing.

 

RACE 5 – HANDO FAMILY PACE – 2040 metres

NIFTY RONALD– Broke stride shortly after the start. A warning was issued.

LINE ME UP BRO NZ– Pre-race blood sample.

A DUSTY DANCE– Broke stride in the middle stages of the score up. A warning was issued.

FLIPTOP BOTTLESHOP– Post-race swab sample.

BOLD COWBOY– Checked after the start when NIFTY RONALD broke stride. Had a tendency to over race throughout the event.

ARTFUL PRINCE– Had a tendency to over race throughout the event.

 

RACE 6 – DEANS HYDRAULICS PACE – 1660 metres

LAST FLITE– Driver A Hurst momentarily lowered her left foot from the sulky rest when activating gear at the 200 metres.

FUNDA– Post-race swab sample.

IM HERE TO PARTY– Negotiating the first turn veered out significantly and broke stride. A warning was issued.

JILLIBY TSUNAMI– Pre-race blood sample.

ROSIES BOY– Held up for clear racing room in the run to the finish and not fully tested.

 

RACE 7 – KENNARDS PARKES PACE – 1660 metres

LET SPARKS FLY– Driver J Turnbull was issued a reprimand under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when being held up for clear racing room inside the final 100 metres he has shifted out when TULHURST TOOT TOOT was racing to his outside. When relieving the pressure has contributed to TULHURST TOOT TOOT breaking stride.

ALWAYS LIVING– Negotiating the first turn had a tendency to hang out. Became unbalanced and broke stride. As it was the gelding’s first start it will be required to requalify on one occasion.

CHASIN YOU– Negotiating the first turn was inconvenienced when shifting wider to avoid ALWAYS LIVING.

JACKYS HAT– Pre-race blood sample. A post-race veterinary examination was conducted as the gelding made heavy contact to the sulky of TULHURST TOOT TOOT passing the finish line when that runner broke stride. No abnormalities were detected.

TULHURST TOOT TOOT – Broke stride when racing under pressure inside the final 30 metres. No action was taken due to LET SPARKS FLY contributing to filly breaking stride when placing pressure on her when attempting to obtain clear running.

BETABRO– Negotiating the first turn was inconvenienced when shifting down the track to avoid ALWAYS LIVING who had broken stride. Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 8 – TAB.COM.AU PACE – 1660 metres

JOESY MINT– At the request of connections a pre-race warm up was approved. Driver P Wood was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(10(b)(i) in that when leaving the 1400 metres he has shifted his runner wider when GIRL JUST FLY was racing to his outside.

GIRL JUST FLY– Pre-race blood sample. Leaving the 1400 metres was momentarily forced to race wider than necessary when JOSEY MINT shifted out to obtain a position in the running line.

PRINCE PARKER– Driver M Rue was queried on the overall performance of the gelding when failing to perform to expectations when finishing in 10th and last position beaten 19.1 metres. He stated the gelding on recent form may have been a false favourite from a second row draw the second row he raced on the marker line until shifting wider at the 300 metres, He further added the gelding never travelled comfortably throughout the event and when placed under pressure over the final 250 metres he failed to respond and was very disappointing.

KING KULAFU– At the request of connections will be placed back in the mobile barrier draw. Post-race swab sample.
