RACE 1 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1720 metres
SARA TA SLOY– Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 43.2 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Considering the overall performance of the filly, SARA TA SLOY will be required to perform one requalifying trial.
SON OF THE SHARK– Had a tendency to hang in rounding the first turn. Worked forward to the lead passing the 1400 metres.
THE METAL FLYER– Caught wide early before finding the position outside the leader passing the 1200 metres.
MY ULTIMATE COBBER– Pre-race blood sample.
DAN FERNANDO NZ– Post-race swab sample.
RACE 2 – ACE COMMUNICATIONS PACE – 2125 metres
SMIRKS LIKA BOSS– Inconvenienced in the home straight as a result of KEILOR BABY SHARK shifting away from the marker pegs.
PLAYFUL MISS– Held up in the early stages of the home straight.
GREY CADILLAC NZ– Commenced to improve three wide passing the 1800 metres before finding the position outside the leader at the 1600 metres.
DOUGS FLAME– Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
KEILOR BABY SHARK– Shifted away from the marker pegs in the home straight and was held up for clear running and not fully tested.
MAJOR ICON NZ– Commenced to improve three wide from the 1700 metres before finding the position outside the leader at the 1400 metres.
RIPSTONE SNORTER– Held up for clear running in the home straight and not fully tested.
PEACE OF HEAVEN NZ– Checked and raced roughly as a result of SMIRKS LIKA BOSS being inconvenienced. Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.
RACE 3 – MULGOA ROAD JAZZ BAND @ CLUB PACEWAY NOV 3 PACE – 1720 metres
THE GOLDEN CROSS NZ– A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having competed in excess of 200 race starts. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
KATLAS DREAM– It was reported post-race the mare had dropped its offside knee boot.
STELLINA– Inconvenienced as a result of MADAZALWAYS retiring from the event. Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.
MADAZALWAYS– Caught wide early before finding the position outside the leader passing the 1300 metres. Commenced to tire passing the 600 metres, It was reported post-race the gelding had sustained a flat tyre and was retired from the event around the 400 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
THE MALDIVES- A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having competed in excess of 200 race starts. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.
MIZZZ ADELE– Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.
TEAM OF STARZZZ- A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having competed in excess of 200 race starts. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
RACE 4 – PENRITH MAZDA PACE – 1720 metres
WHEREISHE– Pre-race blood sample. Approaching the 400 metres was tightened, contacted marker pegs and raced roughly when improving to the inside of LOOKIN GOOD MARGIE and LARRIKIN LENNY which had both shifted wider on the track, before both commenced to move back down the track towards the marker line approaching the turn.
LOOKIN GOOD MARGIE– Placed in restricted room approaching the 400 metres as a result of WHEREISHE improving to the inside of the filly.
LARRIKIN LENNY– Worked forward to the lead passing the 1350 metres. Post-race swab sample.
KNOCKOUT TYSON –Checked behind the tiring ALL NIGHT LONG NZ passing the 400 metres.
ALL NIGHT LONG NZ– Had a tendency to over race throughout the event. Commenced to tire at the 500 metres before being beaten 62.6 metres. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. In view of the performance of the mare, ALL NIGHT LONG NZ will be required to perform one requalifying trial.
GOTTA BLING IT– Broke shortly after the start for which a warning was issued.
PRINCE LOUIE– At the request of connections was placed back into the mobile barrier draw.
RACE 5 – SECURE GUARD PACE – 1720 metres
DENNY ROCKS– Post-race swab sample.
ROSBERG NZ– Pre-race blood sample.
MAJOR STATEMENT– Inconvenienced passing the 1500 metres as a result of CAPTAIN BLOOD veering out and breaking gait.
ADMIRABLE– Inconvenienced passing the 1500 metres as a result of CAPTIAN BLOOD veering out and breaking gait.
CAPTAIN BLOOD– Approaching the 1500 metres veered out and broke gait for which a warning was issued. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
CONSTANTINA– Checked and broke passing the 1500 metres as a result of CAPTAIN BLOOD veering out and breaking gait.
POWER UP NZ– Checked at the 1500 metres as a result of CAPTAIN BLOOD veering out and breaking gait.
ROLL WITH SLOY– Declared a late scratching at 9.19am acting on veterinary advice.
RACE 6 – MELB CUP @ CLUB PACEWAY NOV 5 BOOK NOW PACE – 1720 metres
OUR THUNDER– Checked between the 600 metres and 300 metres when being held up behind the tiring GO JACK CROCKER.
ARTFUL BABE– Galloped out for which a warning was issued.
IMA SHINKANSEN– Broke entering the first turn for which a warning was issued.
GO JACK CROCKER– Driver Bailey McDonough was questioned in regards to the overall performance of the gelding after tiring over the concluding stages to be beaten 59.9 metres. Mr McDonough explained he felt the overall performance was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Given the performance of the gelding GO JACK CROCKER will be required to perform one requalifying trial.
VESPA STRIDE– Pre-race blood sample. Checked and broke after the start as a result of ARTFUL BABE galloping out.
ROYAL VINCENT– Post-race swab sample.
HES MY REASON– Held up for clear running in the latter stages of the home straight.
RACE 7 – SKY RACING ACTIVE 2YO PACE – 1720 metres
ADERFAKI– Inconvenienced passing the 200 metres as a result of OUR ULTIMATE JESSY hanging out under pressure.
KINGSTON RAINBOW– Commenced to improve three wide passing the 1400 metres before finding a position outside the leader at the 1100 metres.
OUR ULTIMATE JESSY– Worked forward to the lead passing the 1400 metres. Hung out under pressure approaching the 200 metres and inconvenienced ADREFAKI and LASTING MEMORY. Post-race swab sample.
MIGHT AND TEMERITY– Pre-race blood sample.
VIOLET JAY– Driver Robert Morris was questioned regarding the overall performance of the filly. Mr Morris explained passing the 600 metres the filly hung in and raced roughly and he felt it may have come to the end of its campaign. As a result the intention of the stable was to spell the filly. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Given the overall performance of VIOLET JAY the filly will be required to perform one requalifying trial.
LASTING MEMORY – Trainer Rickie Alchin was fined $50 under Rule 210 for failing to advise Driver Ashleigh Delosa by the prescribed time. Commenced to improve three wide passing the 1250 metres before finding the position outside the leader at the 800 metres. Inconvenienced rounding the final turn as a result of OUR ULTIMATE JESSY hanging out under pressure.
RACE 8 – KA AMUSEMENTS PACE – 1720 metres
DELIGHTFULLY SWEET– Pre-race blood sample.
HOT CRUISE CONTROL– Caught wide early before being restrained to the rear of the field passing the 1200 metres. Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.
MAC BON– Post-race swab sample.
ROSES ARE BEST– Rounding the home turn was checked and raced roughly as a result of SWEET ROCKY shifting wider on the track.
SWEET ROCKY– Driver Lleyton Green was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for shifting wider in the home straight when not fully clear of ROSES ARE BEST causing that runner to be checked. In not taking further action, Stewards were mindful of the fact SWEET ROCKY was inconvenienced as a result of FRANKIROMAR also being inconvenienced having been checked off the back of the tiring OUR ULTIMATE LUKA.
OUR ULTIMATE LUKA– Commenced to improve three wide passing the 1150 metres before finding the position outside the leader at the 1000 metres. Upon entry to the home straight gave ground marginally inconveniencing FRANKIROMAR.
FRANKIROMAR– Upon entry to the home straight was inconvenienced as a result of OUR ULTIMATE LUKA giving ground. Held up in the early stages of the home straight. At the request of connections was placed back in the mobile barrier draw.
