OFFYAROCKA CROCKER– Failed to run on from the 650 metres to be beaten 34.5 metres and finished in ninth position.  Driver B McDonough explained that the gelding failed to travel throughout the event and had a tendency to hang out in the straights and hang in on the turns.  In view of the performance of OFFYAROCKA CROCKER a warning was issued.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

SWEDISH MEATBALLS– Stewards questioned driver L Rando in relation to the seemingly improved performance ($51) when successful in today’s event.  Mr Rando explained that connections had been happy with the mare’s most recent runs and noted that at Penrith on 17 October the mare was held up and unable to secure clear running.  Mr Rando explained that the mare received a suitable run in transit and he was surprised by the starting price of the mare.  Stewards noted his comments.  Post-race swab sample.
