RACE 1 – WE WILL REMEMBER THEM PACE – 1720 metres

GENTLE GIANT NZ– Post-race swab sample.

AINTSHEASTAR– Pre-race blood sample. Shifted out shortly after the start and broke gait for which a warning was issued. Approaching the 100 metres became unbalanced and broke gait and was retired from the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the near foreleg. Acting on veterinary advice AINTSHEASTAR was stood down pending a veterinary certificate of clearance.

IDEAL COPY– Checked after the start when AINTSHEASTAR shifted up the track and broke gait.

ALL STAR MAGICIAN– Trainers Dean and Kerry McDowell were fined $50 under Rule 210 for failing to notify Bailey McDonough as the driver by the prescribed time. Caught wide early before working forward to a position outside the leader passing the 1400 metres.

IMA SHINKANSEN– Driver David Morris was cautioned for the manner in which he used his whip between the 350 metres and 200 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

 

RACE 2 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1720 metres

TOP THE ACE– Pre-race blood sample. A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in over 200 races starts. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Approaching the first turn was placed into restricted room when VALIANT CHARGER was shifting down the track forcing TOP THE ACE to be checked and break gait and as a result was retired from the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

VALIANT CHARGER– Driver Andrew Bourke pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference, in that approaching the first turn he has allowed VALIANT CHARGER to shift down the track when not sufficiently clear of TOP THE ACE causing that runner to be checked and break gait. Driver Andrew Bourke had his licence to drive in races suspended for a period of 18 days to commence midnight 11 November 2024. In assessing penalty Stewards considered Mr Bourke’s plea, record in relation to the rule and the circumstances of this incident. Failed to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 49.7 metres.

BELLRIVERGIRL– Approaching the 250 metres locked wheels with DELIGHTFUL BELLA and was checked and as a result contacted marker pegs.

GIRLS VIEW– Inconvenienced passing the 250 metres as a result of BELLRIVERGIRL and DELIGHTFUL BELLA locking wheels.

CLEMENTSORRELL– A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having competed in excess of 200 race starts. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Inconvenienced rounding the first turn as a result of TOP THE ACE breaking gait.

WENEEDDREAMS- Inconvenienced rounding the first turn as a result of TOP THE ACE breaking gait.

FIFTY SHADES CRESCO– Checked as a result of TOP THE ACE breaking gait.

DELIGHTFUL BELLA– Shifted in marginally approaching the 250 metres and as a result locked wheels with BELLRIVERGIRL.

LANI KAI BEACH- A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having competed in excess of 200 race starts. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Pre-race blood sample. Inconvenienced rounding the first turn as a result of TOP THE ACE breaking gait. Post-race swab sample.

OURSURFINSAFARI - Inconvenienced rounding the first turn as a result of TOP THE ACE breaking gait.

 

RACE 3 – PENRITH MAZDA TWO YEAR OLD MAIDEN PACE – 1720 metres

MARY ANNE ROSE– Post-race swab sample.

LASTING MEMORY– Trainer Rickie Alchin was fined $50 under Rule 210 for failing to notify himself as the driver of the filly by the prescribed time.

NORMANS GIRL– Checked between the 800 metres and 500 metres when being held up behind TIGERMAC when that gelding was tiring from the event.

MARCENT– held up for clear running in the home straight and not fully tested.

SPOOK CROCKER– Pre-race blood sample.

SOVEREIGN PLACE– Had a tendency to over race throughout the event. Held up in the early stages of the home straight.

TIGERMAC– Commenced to tire at the 800 metres before being beaten 61.7 metres. In view of the overall time the gelding ran of 2.01.0 and given TIGERMAC was having its first start a warning was placed against the gelding. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

 

RACE 4 – REMEMBERANCE DAY PACE – 2125 metres

SPARKLA– Post-race swab sample.

TAP OUT- A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse not having started for 12 months. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Pre-race blood sample. Caught wide early before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1650 metres. Leaving the 400 metres contacted the sulky of ABERRAMA GOLD and was checked as that runner hung in slightly.

ROSES ARE BEST– Commenced to improve three wide passing the 850 metres.

SWEET ROCKY– Broke in the score up for which a warning was issued. Had a tendency to over race throughout the event.

COLLATERAL BEAUTY– Commenced to improve three wide from the 1700 metres before working forward to the lead passing the 1400 metres.

ABBERAMA GOLD- A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding not having started for in excess of 12 months. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Hung in passing the 400 metres and checked TAP OUT for which a warning was issued.

 

RACE 5 – XTREME BULLS @ PENRITH SHOWGROUND NOV 23 PACE – 1720 metres

OLLIE ONE SHOT– Trainer/Driver Paul Tanti was questioned in regards to his driving tactics and the overall performance of the gelding after being able to lead the event, tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 61.4 metres. Mr Tanti explained he has only had the gelding for four starts and with the previous trainer in Queensland appeared to do its best racing in front. The gelding had trialled well when being able to lead for Mr Tanti and with this being the first opportunity OLLIE ONE SHOT has had to lead. Stewards noted the comments of Mr Tanti. Given the overall performance of the gelding OLLIE ONE SHOT will be required to perform one requalifying trial. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

DANCING WITH MY EX– Pre-race blood sample. Raced three wide early before working forward to a position outside the leader passing the 1200 metres.

GOTTA BLING IT– Galloped out and will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw. Approaching the 1000 metres hung in, became unbalanced and broke gait. In view of the recent record of the gelding GOTTA BLING IT will now be required to perform one requalifying trial. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

GREY CADILLAC– Raced three wide early with a trail behind DANCING WITH MY EX and remained in a three wide position for the remainder of the event. Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 6 – LEST WE FORGET PACE – 1720 metres

DASHING CHEDDAR– Pre-race blood sample. Hung out passing the 550 metres and inconvenienced LOOKING GOOD MARGIE for which a warning was issued.

LOOKING GOOD MARGIE– Inconvenienced passing the 550 metres as a result of DASHING CHEDDAR hanging out.

ASCOT SHOWTIME– Hung in in the score up and was out of position at the start for which a warning was issued.

CHARLIES ACE NZ– Commenced to improve three wide from the 1350 metres before working forward to a position outside the leader at the 1200 metres. Post-race swab sample. 

 

RACE 7 – TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 1720 metres

HOT CRUISE CONTROL– Post-race swab sample.

BIRDY GAL– Driver Vaughan Duncan was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that passing the 600 metres he has allowed BIRDY GAL to shift wider on the track when not sufficiently clear of THERES WALLY causing that runner to be inconvenienced.

THERES WALLY– Inconvenienced passing the 600 metres as a result of BIRDY GAL shifting wider on the track.

JUST HOME GROWN NZ– Pre-race blood sample.

PRINCE LOUIE– Three wide early before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1200 metres.

 

RACE 8 – CAROLS @ PENRITH SHOWGROUND DECEMBER 7 PACE – 1720 metres

OFFYAROCKA CROCKER– Trainer Peter Hanson was fined $50 under Rule 210 for failing to advise Klayton Bigeni as the driver of the gelding by the prescribed time. Raced erratically from the commencement of the race and took no competitive part. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Given the overall performance of the gelding OFFYAROCKA CROCKER will be required to perform one requalifying trial.

DILETTO– Pre-race blood sample. Inconvenienced passing the 1550 metres when OFFYAROCKA CROCKER was racing erratically.

COLIN BROMAC NZ– Inconvenienced passing the 1550 metres when OFFYAROCKA CROCKER was racing erratically.

KILLARA SHOGUN– Broke in the score up for which a warning was issued.

DAN FERNANDO NZ– Post-race swab sample.
