RACE 1 – BEATS BREWS & BBQ @ PENRITH SHOWGROUND JULY 14/15 PACE – 1720 metres

FEAR THE EAGLE– Hung out leaving the 600 metres and carried VOLANDO DENARIO NZ wider on the track for a short distance. Post-race swab sample.

KISSMELVIS– Became unbalanced and galloped during the score up for which a warning was issued. Contacted the sulky wheel of BETTOR TO BE TRICKY NZ and was checked and galloped entering the first turn when BETTOR TO BE TRICKY NZ was shifted down the track without the required clearance.

BETTOR TO BE TRICKY NZ– Pre-race blood sample. Driver Chloe Formosa pleaded guilty to a charge under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that approaching the first turn she has made insufficient effort to prevent BETTOR TO BE TRICKY NZ from shifting down the track and has made contact with the front legs of KISSMELVIS causing that runner to be checked and galloped and further checked CRACKABRIENZ and LYNNSANITY which was also checked and galloped.

TIGER TOMMY NZ– Declared a late scratching at 1:12pm by order of Stewards as the mare was sold.

VOLANDO DENARIO NZ– Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside the leader passing the 1400m. Taken wider passing the 600 metres when FEAR THE EAGLE hung out to its inside.

SWEDISH MEATBALLS– Driver Lucas Rando was fined $200 under Rule 156(7) in that he has allowed his whip to project outside the sulky passing the 75 metres when striking his offside wheel with his whip.

LYNNSANITY– Checked and galloped entering the first turn when avoiding the galloping KISSMELVIS.

CRACKABRIE NZ- Checked entering the first turn when avoiding the galloping KISSMELVIS.

 

 

RACE 2 – TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 2125 metres

ACCELERE NZ– Pre-race blood sample.

MAGIC MATTEO– Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

OURTREACHEROUS REIGN NZ– Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside of the leader passing the 1700 metres.

TIMELY SOVEREIGN– A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination. Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

DENNY ROCKS– Driver H Rixon was cautioned in relation to her whip use in the latter stages of the home straight.

LUCKY BEACH BOY– Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

POPS BOY– Driver A Delosa was approved as the late driving replacement for J Bigeni who was unable to arrive on course by the prescribed time. Improved three wide from the 1550 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 1150 metres. Will now be re-included into the mobile barrier draw. Post-race swab sample.

 

 

 

RACE 3 – SINCLAIR FORD PACE – 1720 metres

KATES VIRTUE– Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

AMERICAN HAMMER NZ– Post-race swab sample.

THE METAL FLYER– Had its near side sulky wheel contacted entering the first turn when ROCKNROLL GIG hung out and contacted the sulky wheel to its inside.

GIMMEFIVEMINUTESMORE NZ– Hung in throughout the event.

CAULONIA COURAGE– Over raced throughout the event. Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

ROCKNROLL GIG– Pre-race blood sample. Hung out entering the first turn and contacted the sulky wheel of THE METAL FLYER before becoming unbalanced and galloped. In view of the gelding’s recent record a warning was issued.

TWILIGHT HEAVEN– Checked and galloped when avoiding the galloping ROCKNROLL GIG.

 

RACE 4 – HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY MELISA RAHALEY PACE – 1720 metres

PLAY SOUTHERNLAND– Over raced throughout the event.

LOCHART SHARD NZ– Caught racing three wide in the early stages until being restrained and obtaining a position in the running line passing the 1400 metres.

JAKCAM FLYER– Galloped out at the start for which a warning was issued.

ZEN MASTER– Raced four and three wide during the early stages until improving forward to obtain the position outside the leader passing the 1000 metres. Over raced when positioned outside the leader.

THE BEST OF YOU– Contacted a marker peg on entry to the home straight. Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

WESTERN BELLE– A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted dur to the mare not having competed in the previous 12 months. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.

IDEAL REDEMPTION– Pre-race blood sample.

LARA TIARA– Checked after the start when avoiding the galloping JAKCAM FLYER. Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 5 – HAPPY 15TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY CRAIG & KAREN PACE – 1720 metres

PALATINO NZ– Over raced whilst leading the event.

BOYZHAVTIME NZ– Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside the leader passing the 1200 metres.

RIO DE JANEIRO BLUE NZ– Pre-race blood sample. Driver R Brown was fined $200 under Rule 156(2)(a) in that in the early stages of the home straight she has applied her whip in more than a wrist only flicking motion.

RICKOSHAY– Post-race swab sample.

WATCHMEDAZZLE– Over raced throughout the event.

THERESA LOVE NZ– Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight and was not fully tested.

 

RACE 6 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 2125 metres

WOODLEA BEAVER NZ– Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight. Driver L Green was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(ii) for jostling in that upon entry to the home straight he has engaged in a jostle with REIGN MAKER to his outside when shifting up the track and looking to obtain clear running.

MIZZZ ADELE– Pre-race blood sample. Improved three wide form the 1600 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 1300 metres. Post-race swab sample.

FIFTYSHADES CRESCO– Over raced throughout the event.

REIGN MAKER– Driver J Douglass was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(ii) for jostling in that shortly after entering the home straight on the final occasion he has resisted the movement of WOODLEA BEAVER NZ up the track and engaged in a jostle.

MADAZALWAYS– Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1950 metres.

TEAM OF STARZZZ– A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding being in excess of 12 years of age and having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.

HIGHVIEW SADLER NZ- A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination. Improved three wide form the 1600 metres and when unable to obtain the position outside of the leader restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1150 metres.

RUM DELIGHT NZ- A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination. Unable to secure clear running in the latter stages of the home straight.

CLEMENTSORRELL- A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding being in excess of 12 years of age and having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.

 

RACE 7 – KITE & FIRE FEST @ PENRITH SHOWGROUND JUL 20 PACE – 2125 metres

DESTINY STRIDE– Post-race swab sample.

BARA DAMON– Pre-race blood sample.

DEEBO– Caught racing three wide in the early stages and over raced when looking to be restrained to the tail of the field. DEEBO was eased up the track passing the 1600 metres when out of control before being taken back down to the marker pegs when able to gain control around the 1500 metres. In view of the horse’s tractability a warning was issued. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

MAMMALS ALIBI– Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside of the leader passing the 1800 metres.

 

RACE 8 – SINCLAIR AUTOMOTIVE PACE – 2125 metres

GOTTA BLING IT– Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1900 metres. Stewards questioned Trainer D Brown in relation to the seemingly improved performance of GOTTA BLING IT when successful in tonight’s event. Mr Brown explained the gelding’s racing manners were detrimental at its most recent start at Newcastle on the 5 July when over racing outside the leader and explained that when able to lead in tonight’s event he was confident of a forward showing. Mr Brown further added as a result of the Hawksbury track being too wet to work on, he had been working GOTTA BLING IT at the Penrith track and felt this may have suited his runner. A post-race swab sample including a post-race blood sample was obtained.

JIMMY STEEL NZ– Caught racing three wide in the early stages until being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1900 metres.

WHERESTHEBOY– Failed to run on over the final 450 metres to be beaten 74.3 metres finishing in last position. In not taking any action against the gelding Stewards were mindful of the winning margin of GOTTA BLING IT being 20.9 metres.

GOTTADOBETTOR– Pre-race blood sample. Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside the leader passing the 1800 metres.

 

RACE 9 – INFAMOUS CABERET @ PENRITH SHOWGROUND FR JUL 26 NSW BRED TWO YEAR OLD HEAT – 1720 metres

GUNNA RELOAD– Post-race swab sample.

KASBAH– Pre-race blood sample. Raced rough and became unbalanced passing the 250 metres for which a warning was issued.
