RACE 1 – APIAM AGNES BANKS EQUINE VET TROTTERS MOBILE – 2300 metres
PHOEBE MAJESTIC NZ– Over raced throughout the event. Stewards questioned Driver K Morris in relation to the performance of the mare. Mrs Morris explained it is the stables opinion that the mare is better suited over the shorter trip and when possible will look to restrict PHOEBE MAJESTIC NZ to the short trip.
SHOULD BEABARCA– Post-race swab sample.
KEAYANG SADIE– Pre-race blood sample. Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1500 metres. Became unbalanced and galloped leaving the 600 metres for which a warning was issued.
ADDICTIVE STRIDE– Will now be reincluded into the mobile barrier draw.
RACE 2 – BUBBA GUMP PEST CONTROL TROTTERS MOBILE – 2300 metres
MOONWALKA– Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1900 metres. Raced roughly throughout the event.
ALDEBARAN JENSEN– Pre-race blood sample.
JUNGLE EYES– Caught racing wide until obtaining a position in the running line passing the 1800 metres. Post-race swab sample.
RACE 3 – HYLAND HARNESS COLOURS PACE – 1609 metres
ELLEZIE– Slow to begin. Raced roughly before becoming unbalanced and galloped leaving the 1200 metres for which the filly was stood down until it completes two requalifying trials and for a period of 14 days. The filly was retired from the event passing the 1100 metres.
SPECIALIZE LOU– Stewards questioned Driver C Geary in relation to the performance of the gelding when failing to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 16.1 metres and finished in 7th position. Mr Geary explained that shortly after straightening and being headed the gelding commenced to hang out and failed to run on over the concluding stages. Mr Geary added connections would look to reassess the way the gelding is driven and may drive the gelding with cover in future. Mr Geary noted he was disappointed with the gelding’s performance in today’s event.
BALTUSROL– Pre-race blood sample. Improved three wide from the 1050 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 800 metres. Post-race swab sample.
TESTO BROMAC– Hung in at various stages throughout the event. Raced roughly whilst under pressure over the concluding stages.
RACE 4 – MULTIQUIP AGGREGATES PACE – 1609 metres
MAJOR MAL– Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
LUKE JOHN NZ– Trainer L McCarthy was fined $50 under Rule 210 for failing to declare J Callaghan as the driver by the prescribed time.
THERES WALLY– Trainer M Reed was fined $50 under Rule 210 for failing to declare D Morris as the driver by the prescribed time.
RACE 5 – WARDS ACCOUNTING GROUP PACE – 1609 metres
FLIRTS DIVA– Pre-race blood sample.
CLEMENTSORRELL– A Pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding being 13 years of age and having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination. Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
HALLOWEEN– Became unbalanced and galloped during the score up and was out of position at the start for which a warning was issued. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
LOCHART SHARD NZ– Hung in and contacted marker pegs rounding the first turn.
SHARK DANCER– Post-race swab sample.
RACE 6 – THE THRILL OF WINNING WITH APG LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres
RAKERO ICE NZ– Post-race swab sample.
SAPPIRESNDIAMONDS– Trainer G Hargraves was fined $100 under Rule 135(2) in that he presented the horse on track with one minute to race time.
GOODTIME SAILOR– Raced roughly during the latter stages of the score up.
GET UP BETTY– Trainer G Hargraves was fined $100 under Rule 135(2) in that he presented the horse on track with one minute to race time. Became unbalanced and was out of position at the start and took no competitive part in the event for which a warning was issued.

RACE 7 – ACCESS SECURITY PROTECTION SERVICES PACE – 1609 metres
MONTEFIORE NZ– Post-race swab sample.
AGIFTFROMTHEANGELS– Became unbalanced and galloped during the score up and took no competitive part in the event for which a warning was issued.
XCITE ME NZ– Became unbalanced and galloped during the score up and was out of position at the start for which a warning was issued.
DANCING WITH MY EX– Caught racing three wide in the early stages until being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1200 metres.
COUNTY COURT JUDGE– Pre-race blood sample.
RACE 8 – DOWNBYTHESEASIDE – MULTIPLE GROUP 1 SIRE ‘DOWN UNDER’. PACE – 1609 metres
FIRE AND SWORD– Slow to begin.
POWER UP NZ– Shifted out under pressure in the home straight on the final occasion. Post-race swab sample.
BOBBY WATERHOUSE NZ– Caught racing three wide in the early stages until being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1200 metres.
SON OF THE SHARK– Improved three wide from the 1000 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 800 metres.
THE BIG END OFTOWN– Pre-race blood sample. A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding not having competed in the previous 12 months. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.
