GENERAL

Urine samples were collected from 5 drivers with engagement’s at this meeting.

 

Driver Jack Callaghan was fined $250 under Rule 159B(1) for failing to wear a protective vest when performing track work at the Menangle Park training centre this morning.

 

 

RACE 1 – NATIONALTROTGUIDE.COM.AU TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres

KENNYWOULD– Held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight prior to breaking gait when directed wider approaching the 100 metres. A warning was placed on the record of KENNYWOULD.

MAJESTIC TOOTH– Post-race swab sample.

BURKHARDT NZ– Pre-race blood sample.

MELPARK MAGIC– Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races. These examinations did not reveal any significant findings.

 

RACE 2 – ACCESS GROUP SOLUTIONS INTEGRATED SERVICES TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres

MALIBUU– Held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight.

TIGER TEE– Driver Josh Gallagher inadvertently dropped his right foot approaching the 150 metres.

GET USED TO IT– Post-race swab sample.

LAST CLANSMAN– Pre-race blood sample. Driver Robert Morris was questioned regarding the performance of the gelding which finished in 7^th placing beaten 16 metres ($3.50 fav). Mr Morris explained he attributed the performance to the use made of LAST CLANSMAN when improving forward from the widest barrier in what was a relatively fast first quarter of 28.1 seconds. Mr Morris further added LAST CLANSMAN did not travel as strongly as it had in recent starts and connections may give consideration to giving LAST CLANSMAN a brief let up prior to its next race start. A post-race veterinary examination of LAST CLANSMAN failed to reveal any significant findings.

 

RACE 3 – MULTIQUIP AGGREGATES PACE – 1609 metres

MARY ANNE ROSE– Trainer KerryAnn Morris was fined $50 under Rule 268A(1) for failing to have a gear form lodged for the filly.

LASTING MEMORY– Broke during the latter part of the score up and was out of position at the start as a consequence. LASTING MEMORY will now be placed outside the draw in future mobile start events.

FOLLOW THE MONEY– Hung in under pressure approaching the 200 metres.

GO WITHOUT– Pre-race blood sample.

MY LITTLE BO– Post-race swab sample.

LOOKIN GOOD MARGIE– Trainer Troy Williams was fined $50 under Rule 210 for failing to declare a driver by the prescribed time. Held up inside the final 200 metres.

 

RACE 4 – ALWAYS ALLCOTT PACE – 1609 metres

COUNTY COURT JUDGE– Trainer Jason Grimson was fined $50 under Rule 268A(1) for failing to have a gear form lodged for the horse. Pre-race blood sample. Paced roughly shortly after the start. Broke clear of interference passing the 1200 metres and as the horse was having its first race start it will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of Stewards.

OJENNY MAY– Pre-race blood sample.

WILL I AM– Post-race swab sample.

JOGALONG BLUE– Out of position at the start and paced roughly shortly after. JOGALONG BLUE will now be placed outside the draw in future mobile start events given its recent poor record. Paced roughly again approaching the 800 metres, losing ground on the majority of the field. A warning was issued. A post-race veterinary examination of JOGALONG BLUE failed to reveal any significant findings.

LANI KAI BEACH- Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races. These examinations did not reveal any significant findings.

RUM DELIGHT NZ- Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races. These examinations did not reveal any significant findings.

 

RACE 5 – CONDELL PARK PRODUCE PACE – 1609 metres

EYEKNOW– Hung in under pressure inside the final 200 metres.

XCITE ME NZ– Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten in excess of 95 metres. A post-race veterinary examination of XCITE ME NZ failed to reveal any significant findings. Driver Cameron Fitzpatrick explained in his view the mare was not suited to being positioned outside the leader in what was an exceptionally fast first half (54.1 seconds). Given the beaten margin of XCITE ME NZ the mare will be required to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to racing again.

SWEET LOVIN– Hung in passing the 300 metres and contacted marker pegs as a consequence. Driver Robert Morris was fined $200 under Rule 156(7) in that he used the whip outside the confines of the sulky over the concluding stages. Post-race swab sample.

BAIL DENIED– Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 6 – IRT HORSE TRANSPORT PACE – 1609 metres

OUR CHIQUITITA– Post-race swab sample.

MINI MINE YET NZ– Pre-race blood sample.

HUNT A RAINBOW– Tightened and paced roughly approaching the 1200 metres when HUNT A RAINBOW continued to improve simultaneous to KEEPERS IDEAL NZ shifting in.

 

RACE 7 – PRYDE’S EASIPERFORMANCE PACE – 1609 metres

ONE FOR THE RODI– Over raced and was tightened from the 1200 metres as TITIAN RAIDER commenced to shift inwards.

JOE NIEN– Post-race swab sample.

IDEAL MARQUESS– Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 8 – BETTORS DELIGHT – THE KING RETURNS IN 2024 PACE – 1609 metres

GORDONS BAY– Pre-race blood sample.
