RACE 1 – ALLIED EXPRESS SPECIALISED LOGISTICS PACE – 2300 metres

PORT AU PRINCE NZ– Hung out at the 300 metres placing BOOTS ELECTRIC NZ in restricted room to the inside of THE CROUPIER NZ.

LITTLE BLISS– Pre-race blood sample. 

CASSIUS DECK– Pre-race blood sample.

ROLL UP NZ– Worked forward to the lead passing the 1500 metres.

UNFAZED NZ– Post-race swab sample.

ARDENS ACE NZ– Stewards questioned driver Sofia Arvidsson with regards to the tactics she adopted over the concluding stages of the event, in particular whereby she was held up behind UNFAZED NZ between the 200 metres until obtaining clear running passing the 50 metres. Miss Arvidsson advised Stewards that she never felt she had an advantage over BOOM NZ which was racing to her outside and therefore did not feel confident enough that she could shift that runner without causing interference.  After considering the explanation provided by Miss Arvidsson Stewards determined to take no further action, however advised Miss Arvidsson to ensure she drives her runners in a competitive manner that in similar circumstances to ensure the possibility of finishing in the best possible placing.

BOOM NZ– Worked forward to the lead passing the 2000 metres.

BOOTS ELECTRIC NZ– Hung in from the 400 metres until the 300 metres, at which point was placed in restricted to the inside of THE CROUPIER NZ as a result of PORT AU PRINCE NZ hanging out which caused BOOTS ELECTRIC NZ to break stride.  No further action was taken.

RACE 2 – BESTINBEDS.COM.AU PACE – 2300 metres

HEZ DUSTY– Pre-race blood sample. 

KING TIGER– Worked forward to the lead passing the 2100 metres.

CRAFTMANS CHARLIE– Worked forward to the lead passing the 2000 metres.  Post-race swab sample.

MY ULTIMATE CARTER– Pre-race blood sample.

COLBY NZ– Over raced through the middle stages of the event.

RACE 3 – CLUB MENANGLE VIC FROST FFA – 1609 metres

STAR MAJOR– Pre-race blood sample.  Over raced when racing outside the leader through the middle stages of the event.  Driver Jim Douglass was found guilty of a charge under Rule 156(2)(a), that he applied the whip to the gelding in a manner which was considered not to be a wrist only flicking motion.  After considering the recent record of Mr Douglass, he was fined $200.

JAY OK– Pre-race blood sample.  Worked forward to the lead passing the 1200 metres.

PETES SAID SO NZ– Post-race swab sample.

MALCOLMS RHYTHM– Driver Bailey McDonough was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference, in that passing the 200 metres when attempting to shift WHEREYABINBOPPIN wider on the track he raced inside the line of that runner causing WHEREYABINBOPPIN to race roughly for a short distance.

MISSED THE TRUTH– Over raced during the middle stages of the event.

WHEREYABINBOPPIN– Raced roughly passing the 200 metres when MALCOLMS RHYTHM was shifted wider on the track.

DOUBLE ACT– Out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver David Morris.  After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued.

RACE 4 – CANNIBAL STANDING AT COBBITTY EQUINE FARM LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres

CARMELITE NZ– Pre-race blood sample.  Stewards questioned driver Jemma Coney with regards to the performance of the mare which tired over the final 600 metres of the event to finish in tenth placing beaten 65 metres.  Miss Coney advised Stewards that she was very disappointed with the performance of the mare albeit not being suited to racing without cover in this grade of event.  A post-race veterinary examination of the mare failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.  After considering the recent record of the mare, a warning was issued.

WINONA WRITER– Pre-race blood sample. 

SWEET COCO NZ– Slightly inconvenienced when WINONA WRITER hung out in the latter stages of the score up causing SWEET COCO NZ to break stride and veer out checking MORE GOODA NZ and necessitating a false start being declared.  After considering the recent record of the mare, in addition to the particular circumstances of this incident it was given its last chance in the mobile draw.  Broke stride free of interference passing the 400 metres.  After considering the recent record of the mare, a warning was issued.

PAS DE CHEVAL– Post-race swab sample.

JUST AS WELL NZ– Raced roughly passing the 500 metres.

RACE 5 – CLUB MENANGLE WARATAH FINAL – 1609 metres

CONOR MCGREGOR NZ– Pre-race blood sample.

A MAJOR STARR NZ– Pre-race blood sample.

MISTER BLUECHIP– Over raced during the middle stages of the event.

KAITOA– Post-race swab sample.

RACE 6 – HRNSW 3YO NSW BRED FINAL – 1609 metres

OUR ULTIMATE LUKA– Over raced during the middle stages of the event.

BOLANALONG– Pre-race blood sample.

GOTTA LOCKHEED– Pre-race blood sample.

OUR GOAT– Post-race swab sample.

ALTA WILLIAM– Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1200 metres.

HUMBLE– Caught racing three wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1200 metres.

RACE 7 – HRNSW 2YO NSW BRED FINAL – 1609 metres

MANHATTEN CHICK– Driver Matthew Harding pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 156(2)(a), in that he applied the whip to the filly in the early stages of the home straight in a manner which was considered not to be a wrist only flicking motion.  After considering the recent record of Mr Harding, he was fined $200.

LOCKITINEEDY– Worked forward to the lead passing the 1200 metres.  Hung in passing the 400 metres.

SANCHEZ– Pre-race blood sample.  Improved three wide from the 1100 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 900 metres.

JUNGLE DRAGON– Pre-race blood sample.  Post-race swab sample.

RACE 8 – CORDINA CHICKEN FARMS TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres

ITZFERGIETIME– Broke stride during the latter stages of the score up and as a result was out of position at the start.  After considering the recent record of the mare, a warning was issued.

CHIEF RUNNINGCLOUD– Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 250 metres. 

TORO STRIDE NZ– Post-race swab sample.

SUNNY GEE– Pre-race blood sample. 

VICTREE HILL– Broke stride free of interference passing the 800 metres.  After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued.

CALIGULA NZ– Galloped out.  After considering the recent record of the gelding, it was placed outside the mobile barrier draw.

OUR MAJIC KENNY NZ– Pre-race blood sample.  Out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver Gavin Fitzpatrick.  After considering the recent record of the gelding, it will continue to be placed outside the mobile barrier draw.
