RACE 1 – CLUB MENANGLE ARIZONA BLUE TROTTERS HEAT 3 – 1609 metres
MAROON BELLS– Slow to begin.
SASSY GALLEON– Pre-race blood sample. Became unbalanced during the score up and galloped out as the mobile released the field for which the filly will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw. Stewards questioned Driver C Lang Jnr in relation to his efforts to restrain his filly whilst galloping during the score up and shortly after the start. Mr Lang explained he restrained SASSY GALLEON whilst she was in a gallop however the filly had taken hold and he was unable to restrain behind the field and as the start was effected he allowed SASSY GALLEON to progress forward and shift out of the way of all runners drawn to his outside before being able to get the filly back into a trot. Stewards noted the comments of Mr Lang however advised him of his obligations under Rule 154.
LOTUS LOUISE– Hampered after the start when avoiding the galloping SASSY GALLEON. Dropped a bell boot passing the 150 metres. Post-race swab sample.
MAJESTIC FUNDS– Galloped out at the start for which the colt will continue to be placed outside of the mobile barrier draw.
MAJORETTE– Hampered after the start when avoiding the galloping SASSY GALLEON.
RACE 2 – ACCESS ENGINEERING SYSTEMS HVAC TROTTERS STANDING START HANDICAP – 2300 metres
VALLEY STAR NZ– Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
RAKERO WARRIOR NZ– Presented on course in accordance with the HRNSW elevated TCO2 policy. Pre-race blood sample. Galloped out at the start for which the gelding was placed outside of the standing start draw.
MELPARK MAGIC– A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.
DAIMYO– Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion. Will now be re-included into the standing start draw.
SHOULD BEABARCA– Pre-race blood sample. Galloped out at the start for which the gelding will continue to be placed outside of the standing start draw. Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
VIKSUN– Worked forward to the lead passing the 1850 metres. Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
PHARISEE– Stood flat footed at the start before pacing away and taking no competitive part in the event for which the gelding will continue to be excluded from the standing start draw.
MY LIGHTNING MCQUEEN NZ– Post-race swab sample.
SALUTE STRIDE NZ– Improved three wide from the 1750 metres until obtaining the lead leaving the 1600 metres. Became unbalanced and galloped leaving the 400 metres for which a warning was issued.
THEBESTBOURBON– Will now be re-included into the standing start draw.
RACE 3 – CONDELL PARK PRODUCE PACE – 1609 metres
MISTER JONES NZ– Post-race swab sample.
FRANKIROMAR– Pre-race blood sample.
FLY OVER STATES– Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.
RUM DELIGHT NZ– A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination. Caught racing three wide in the early stages until obtaining a position in the running line passing the 1200 metres.
RACE 4 – APIAM AGNES BANKS EQUINE CLINIC LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres
GET UP BETTY– Broke the number 2 carrying strap on the offside throughout the event.
DOLCE DRAMA– Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
CRACKABRIE NZ– Declared a late scratching at 11.44am by order of Stewards as Trainer S Bigeni was involved in a car accident enroute to the races.
MINI MINE YET NZ– Caught racing three wide in the early stages until being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1200 metres.
RACE 5 – MENANGLE PARK PACE – 1609 metres
EYEKNOW– Shifted out marginally on entry to the home straight, locked wheels with MONTEFIORE NZ and as a result was severely checked and galloped.
SAPPHIRESNDIAMONDS– Severely checked and galloped when avoiding EYEKNOW and MONTEFIORE NZ shortly after entering the home straight on the final occasion when those runners had locked wheels.
CHELSAVA ANGEL– Severely checked and galloped shortly after entering the home straight on the final occasion when avoiding EYEKNOW and MONTEFIORE NZ which had locked wheels.
KNIGHT WALKER– Post-race swab sample.
OUR THUNDER- Declared a late scratching at 11.44am by order of Stewards as Trainer S Bigeni was involved in a car accident enroute to the races.
GIVE ME A REASON– Severely checked when avoiding EYEKNOW and MONTEFIORE NZ which had locked wheels shortly after entering the home straight.
MONTEFIORE NZ– Pre-race blood sample. Caught racing three wide in the early stages until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 1200 metres. Hung in marginally rounding the home turn and on entry to the home straight locked wheels and was severely checked with EYEKNOW. Due to the minimal movement of MONTEFIORE NZ and EYEKNOW no direct action was taken other than to report the incident.
DOUBLE SAID– Hampered shortly after entering the home straight when avoiding MONTEFIORE NZ and EYEKNOW which had locked wheels.
AGIFTFROMTHEANGELS– Hampered shortly after entry to the home straight when avoiding EYEKNOW and MONTEFIORE NZ which had locked wheels.
COURAGE OF MONTANA– Became unbalanced and galloped during the score up and was out of position at the start for which the gelding will continue to be excluded from the mobile barrier draw. Became unbalanced and galloped approaching the 1100 metres and raced erratically thereafter before giving ground over the concluding stages. In view of the tractability of the gelding, COURAGE OF MONTANA was stood down until it completes one requalifying trial. Trainer/Driver G Forrest advised Stewards he would make gear adjustments to the gelding prior to its next race start.
RACE 6 – APG PACING WITH EXCITEMENT PACE – 1609 metres
LETS TURN IT ON– Failed to run on over the concluding stages of the event to be beaten 29.8 metres and finished in last position. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be suffering from a breathing issue for which LETS TURN IT ON was stood down until a veterinary certificate of fitness was submitted including the results of a dynamic scope.

FIRE AND SWORD– Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
SIR SIMON- Declared a late scratching at 11.44am by order of Stewards as Trainer S Bigeni was involved in a car accident enroute to the races.
DOUBLE FEAR– Post-race swab sample.
RACE 7 – D M PLUMBING PACE – 1609 metres
CAPTAIN BLOOD– Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
BOBBY WATERHOUSE NZ- Declared a late scratching at 11.44am by order of Stewards as Trainer S Bigeni was involved in a car accident enroute to the races.
NICK OF TIME NZ– A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having not competed in the previous 12 months. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination. It was reported to Stewards by connections the gelding had cast a plate leaving the 500 metres.
CORBIE STUMBLER– Raced in restricted room leaving the 75 metres when BAINBRIDGE shifted in whilst under pressure.
PORT AU PRINCE NZ– Pre-race blood sample.
HAS THE COURAGE– Driver K Morris advised Stewards prior to the declaration of all clear she wished to review the run to the finish in relation to BAINBRIDGE appearing to shift down the track forward of her drive passing the 350 metres. After reviewing the patrol vision Mrs Morris elected not to lodge an objection against BAINBRIDGE stating although BAINBRIDGE had shifted in under pressure she had not momentum and therefore did not feel the interference had caused her runner to be hampered to the degree required to lodge an objection.
BAINBRIDGE- A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having not competed in the previous 12 months. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination. Shifted in under pressure in the home straight. Will now be re-included into the mobile barrier draw. Post-race swab sample.
