RACE 1 – FARMER JOES FOOD SERVICES PACE – 2300 metres
OUTSIDE FIGHTER– Weakened over the concluding stages.
FOXY DADA– Pre-race blood sample. Improved three wide during the middle stages before crossing to the lead approaching the 1500 metres.
MICK DANGER– Post-race swab sample.
CAULONIA COURAGE– Pre-race blood sample.
ROMANEE NZ– Broke gait during the middle stages of the score up for a short distance however was in position at the start. A warning was issued.
WHISKEY CAVALIER NZ– Inclined to shift out over the final 200 metres.
RACE 2 – BESTINBEDS.COM.AU PACE – 2300 metres
JILLIBY NITRO– Post-race swab sample.
ARDENS ACE NZ– Pre-race blood sample. Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW animal welfare guidelines due to the gelding racing on consecutive days. No abnormalities were detected. Unable to secure clear running until passing the 100 metres.
KANENA PROVLIMA– Pre-race blood sample.
PETES SAID SO NZ –Driver J Gallagher pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 156(2)(a) for applying his whip in more than a wrist only flicking motion over the final 200 metres. Due to his recent record J Gallagher was fined the sum of $200.
RACE 3 – CLUB MENANGLE ITALIAN CUP – 1609 metres
SURFERS DELIGHT NZ– Pre-race blood sample.
MAX DELIGHT- Driver J Gallagher pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 156(2)(a) for applying his whip to MAX DELIGHT in more than a wrist only flicking motion over the final 150 metres. In assessing penalty this offence was deemed to be a second tier offence, consequently J Gallagher was fined the sum of $400. Post-race swab sample.
CAPTAINS KNOCK– Driver B Hewitt was questioned regarding the tactics employed on CAPTAINS KNOCK during the early stages. B Hewitt explained due to his wide barrier he was concerned about the runners drawn to his inside that in his opinion are fast beginners and would more than likely take up forward positions namely NYACK, DON LOU and DISTRICT ATTORNEY. Therefore he intended to drive CAPTAINS KNOCK more conservatively and ease at the start. B Hewitt explained that after the start he was satisfied with where he was positioned when the tempo settled one out, two back in the running line. B Hewitt stated that when he has been able to draw well and race in restricted company he has always looked to obtain the lead however when racing against similar class to tonight’s event he has looked to drive with cover. B Hewitt’s explanation was noted. Stewards advised B Hewitt to always drive CAPTAINS KNOCK in a consistent manner, circumstances permitting.
ARMA XFACTOR– Pre-race blood sample. Weakened over the concluding stages.
RACE 4 – CLUB MENANGLE WARATAH FINAL – 1609 metres
HERE COMES BOBBY– Slow to begin.
SCARED STIFF NZ– Pre-race blood sample.
CAMANCHI WARRIOR– Broke gait during the early stages of the score up however was in position at the start. A warning was issued.
FAR OUT RINGO– Pre-race blood sample.
OUR PRINCESS KENNEDY NZ– Post-race swab sample.
THE CREEK– Commenced to weaken leaving the 300 metres and tired over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Driver A Bourke was unable to provide an explanation for the geldings performance. He was advised a warning would be placed on THE CREEK for what was deemed to be an unsatisfactory performance.
RACE 5 – ULTRA AIR PACE – 1609 metres
COOL NIGHT– Leaving the 500 metres had to be checked off the back of SWEET LOVIN and shortly after received contact to the offside sulky wheel from LOCHINVAR JAG. Subsequently COOL NIGHT carried a flat tyre for the remainder of the event.
SWEET LOVIN– Pre-race blood sample. Hung out as the start was effected causing DENNY ROCKS to be taken out towards CAPTAIN RITCHIE which in turn was taken out toward EAGLE WATCH NZ. Shortly after the start SWEET LOVIN continued to hang out and struck the wheel of LOCHINVAR JAG passing the 1500 metres when that runner was shifting in. Racing between the 400 metres and the 300 metres SWEET LOVIN hung in and veered in to race over several marker pegs losing ground. When questioned, Trainer/Driver S Grima explained the gelding had been difficult to train and he had experimented with multiple pieces of gear. He added it would now be his intention to send the gelding for a spell. S Grima’s explanation was noted and he was advised SWEET LOVIN would now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw and furthermore, SWEET LOVIN would be stood down for a period of 28 days and until it can complete one satisfactory official trial. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
DENNY ROCKS– Shortly after the start was placed in restricted room between SWEET LOVIN which shifted out and CAPTAIN RITCHIE. Leaving the 500 metres was checked when SWEET LOVIN veered in and yielded ground.
CAPTAIN RITCHIE- Shortly after the start was placed in severely restricted room when DENNY ROCKS was taken out by SWEET LOVIN which caused CAPTAIN RITCHIE to be taken out toward EAGLE WATCH NZ.
EAGLE WATCH NZ– Post-race swab sample.
EL CAMINO– Steadied after the start to avoid CAPTAIN RITCHIE which was taken wider.
WEONA SIR VIVOR– Pre-race blood sample.
HALLOWEEN– Tired over the concluding stages.
LOCHINVAR JAG– Leaving the 1500 metres shifted in at the same time SWEET LOVIN hung out significantly and as a result SWEET LOVIN struck the near side wheel of LOCHINVAR JAG. Leaving the 500 metres had to be checked off the back of COOL NIGHT which had been hampered by SWEET LOVIN and subsequently LOCHINVAR JAG struck the outside wheel of COOL NIGHT.
RACE 6 – TAB WE’RE ON PACE – 2300 metres
OBADIAH DRAGON NZ– Approaching the 100 metres struck marker pegs when held up for clear running however was at all times being restrained by its Driver S Grima and did not gain any advantage.
DONTLETFEARSTOPYA NZ– Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
DOM TORETTO NZ– Held up for clear running until leaving the 200 metres at which point DOM TORETTO NZ shifted out. Driver J Turnbull was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that leaving the 200 metres he failed to make sufficient effort to prevent DOM TORETTO NZ from shifting out when not quite clear of TITIAN RAIDER resulting in that runner being placed in restricted room and having to be steadied which caused TITIAN RAIDER to race roughly for a short distance.
RED REACTOR NZ– Pre-race blood sample.
TITIAN RAIDER– Leaving the 200 metres had to be steadied away from the wheel of DOM TORETTO NZ which shifted out and subsequently TITIAN RAIDER raced roughly for a short distance.
RACE 7 – STAN DUMSENY MEMORIAL – 1609 metres
FOOTTAPPER– Broke gait at the start. A warning was issued. Passing the 400 metres was inclined to hang in and race roughly.
TOUGH LOVE– Approaching the 100 metres became unbalanced and broke gait. A warning was issued.
COURAGE STRIDE- Raced roughly after the start for a short distance. A warning was issued. Post-race swab sample.
JUNGLE EYES– Broke gait at the start. JUNGLE EYES will continue to be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.
LEAF STRIDE NZ– Pre-race blood sample.
SLEEPEE– Pre-race blood sample.
SPEEDY LOVER– Out of position at the start and will be continued right outside of the mobile barrier draw for the immediate future.
RACE 8 – BUBBA GUMP PEST CONTROL LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres
LENNYS ANGEL– Broke gait during the middle stages of the score up and was out of position at the start. In view of the mares recent record connections were advised LENNYS ANGEL would now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.
MARIA ALLEGONDA NZ– Pre-race blood sample. Diver B McDonough pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 156(7) in that he applied his whip in a manner that allowed the whip to protrude outside of the near side of the sulky and make contact with the wheel disc on multiple occasions over the concluding stages. B McDonough was fined the sum of $200.
JOELITA– Broke gait during the early stages of the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was issued.

HEAVENLY CHARM– Pre-race blood sample.
