BERTIE JONES NZ– Driver L Green was found guilty of a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference. The particulars being that leaving the 350 metres, he commenced to shift out at an acute angle toward BETTORS HOPE and shortly after the offside sulky wheel of BERTIE JONES NZ was positioned well inside of the sulky of BETTORS HOPE and in the vicinity of that runners hind legs. This caused BETTORS HOPE to be placed awkwardly. Shortly thereafter, L Green failed to make sufficient effort to prevent BERTIE JONES NZ from continuing to shift further up the track and as a result BETTORS HOPE was checked, raced roughly and lost ground. In assessing penalty, Stewards were mindful of L Green’s not guilty plea and his overall driving and offence record. L Green had his licence to drive in races suspended for a period of 21 days.

AMORE INFIDA NZ– Raced three wide during the early stages before working forward.
