RACE 1 – CONDELL PARK PRODUCE PACE – 1609 metres

PANDAIA NZ– Stewards questioned Driver A Delosa in relation to the performance of the mare when failing to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 17.4 metres and finished in last position. Ms Delosa explained she was disappointed in the overall performance of the mare however noted the mare had been sweating prior to the event and felt the mare may not have handled the warmer conditions. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

KANENA PROVLIMA– Unable to secure clear running in the latter stages of the home straight.

SMOOTH BUZZ– Pre-race blood sample. Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

OUR SWEET DELIGHT– Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

WHERES THE GOLD NZ– Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

PETES SAID SO NZ– A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts.  No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.

 

RACE 2 – BESTINBEDS.COM.AU PACE – 1609 metres

DONEGAL LUTHER NZ– Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight. Post-race swab sample.

CAULONIA COURAGE– Presented on course prior to 10am as per the HRNSW elevated TCO2 policy. Pre-race blood sample. Over raced throughout the middle stages of the event.

PROMISING– Pre-race blood sample. Became unbalanced and galloped during the score up and was out of position at the start for which a warning was issued.

 

RACE 3 – ULTRA AIR PACE – 2300 metres

SHEFFIELD SPARKY NZ– Pre-race blood sample.

ITOJE NZ– Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1900 metres. Post-race swab sample.

TITIAN RAIDER– Hung in and locked wheels with ALTA WILLIAM passing the 175 metres resulting in TITIAN RAIDER contacting the sulky wheel of ALTA WILLIAM and being checked and racing roughly.

ALTA WILLIAM– Driver B McDonough was fined $100 under Rule 162(1)(i) for failing to come up into position by the nominated marker prior to the start. Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight. Had its sulky contacted passing the 175 metres by TITIAN RAIDER when that runner hung in to its outside and as a result locked wheels for a short distance.

MONTEFIORE NZ– Over raced throughout the middle stages of the event.

PABLO ROCKS– A Post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the right foreleg and acting on veterinary advice PABLO ROCKS has been stood down until a veterinary certificate of fitness is submitted and for a period of 10 days.

BUSINESS IN HEAVEN– Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 4 – AINSWORTH WARATAH FINAL – 1609 metres

SIREN SEA– Became unbalanced and galloped during the score up and was out of position at the start for which a warning was issued.

THE GREEK GENERAL– Pre-race blood sample.

SUNSET STRIDE– Post-race swab sample.

ALFANALMA– Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 5 – CLUB MENANGLE ITALIAN CUP (LISTED CLASSIC) – 1609 metres

BAINBRIDGE– Pre-race blood sample.

DON HUGO– Pre-race blood sample.

CAPTAINS KNOCK– Post-race swab sample.

KINGMAKER NZ– Became unbalanced and galloped during the score and was out of position at the start for which a warning was issued.

 

RACE 6 – SUCCESS STUD PACE – 1609 metres

SKITTLE BOMB NZ– Became unbalanced and galloped during the score up for which the gelding will now be excluded form the mobile barrier draw.

TENACIOUSLY– Pre-race blood sample. Raced roughly approaching the 500 metres before galloping and locking wheels with DOUGS FLAME resulting in Driver B Hewitt being dislodged from the sulky and TENACIOUSLY being retired from the event. In view of the filly’s recent record a warning was issued.

DOUGS FLAME– Severely checked and locked wheels approaching the 500 metres when TENACIOUSLY hung in and locked wheels whilst in a gallop. As a result, DOUGS FLAME was retired from the event.

FORCE FULL– Checked passing the 500 metres when avoiding TENACIOUSLY and DOUGS FLAME which had locked wheels.

OUR GEORGE BOSTON– Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside the leader passing the 1200 metres.

RAKAJED NZ– Pre-race blood sample. Raced three wide in the early and middle stages until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 1050 metres. Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 7 – STAN DUMESNY TROTTERS DISCRETIONARY HANDICAP – 2300 metres

HES A HAMMER– Pre-race blood sample. Stood flat footed as the tapes were released for which a warning was issued. Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

COURAGE STRIDE– Pre-race blood sample.

SHEETWEB WEAVER– Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1900 metres. Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 8 – D M PLUMBING LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres

WEONA MISS MIKI– Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 19.8 metres and finished in last position ($6). Trainer / driver B Hewitt informed Stewards that he was not overly disappointed in the performance, however reported that the filly had made some abnormal respiratory noises in the run. Mr Hewitt added that he has had a dynamic scope performed on the filly which revealed no significant abnormalities however, he is of the belief that the filly has an intermittent respiratory issue which he will have further examined following its 3 year old campaign. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

FEAR THE PAIN NZ– Pre-race blood sample.

YUKON BE SERIOUS NZ– Pre-race blood sample.

NO DRAMAS– Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

DELIGHTFUL STAR NZ– Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1100 metres.
