RACE 1 – APIAM AGNES BANKS DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres

ALDEBARAN BELLE NZ– Pre-race blood sample.

SALLY EM– Driver W Rixon was reprimanded under Rule 43(1) in that he failed to report his attendance to the Stewards by the prescribed time.

KYVALLEY FINN– Driver J Douglass was cautioned for failing to report his attendance to the Stewards by the prescribed time.

MELPARK MAGIC– A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination. Driver C Geary was cautioned for failing to report his attendance to the Stewards by the prescribed time.

MALIBUU– Post-race swab sample.

VALTINO– Raced three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain a position outside the leader passing the 1150 metres and working forward to the lead passing the 850 metres. Stewards questioned Trainer/Driver B Fitzpatrick in relation to the performance of the colt when failing to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 9.5 metres ($1.65 fav) and finished in 4th position. Mr Fitzpatrick explained he was disappointed in the colt’s performance in today’s event and added the colt was fresh after being first up for 3 weeks.

JAKARTA NZ– Out of position at the start for which the gelding will continue to be excluded from the mobile barrier draw. Caught racing three wide during the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside the leader passing the 1100 metres.

 

RACE 2 – HESTON BLUE CHIP STANDING AT COBBITTY EQUINE FARM TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres

TIGER TEE– Pre-race blood sample.

ELECTROJET– Raced roughly for a short distance after the start.

LAST CLANSMAN– Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1150 metres. Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 3 – ALLCOTT HIRE CAMPBELLTOWN PACE – 1609 metres

IM A SWEET TORQUE NZ– Pre-race blood sample.

LEXUS LOU– Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1250 metres. Post-race swab sample.

TESTO BROMAC– Worked forward to obtain the position outside the leader passing the 1250 metres.

RACE 4 – HYLAND HARNESS GEAR PACE – 1609 metres

BETTER HARLEY– Post-race swab sample.

GIMME A REASON– Improved three wide from the 1100 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 900 metres.

WILL I AM– Hung in and contacted a number of marker pegs upon entry to the home straight for which a warning was issued.

JOGALONG BLUE– Raced roughly after the start for which a warning was issued. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

HALLOWEEN– Pre-race blood sample.

FIFTYSHADES CRESCO– Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

THE GOLDEN CROSS NZ– A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.

 

RACE 5 – NSW BREEDERS CHALLENGE 3YO FILLIES HEAT – ROUND 2 – 1609 metres

SWEET HAYLEY JANE– Pre-race blood sample.

SURPRISE LANDING– Unable to secure clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested. Contacted a number of marker pegs approaching the 100 metres however did not improve its position before regaining its position on the racing surface.

OUR ULTIMATE LUKA– Over raced during the middle stages of the event.

ELUSIVE– Post-race swab sample.

SOAP OPERA– Hung out shortly after entering the first turn, became unbalanced and galloped for which a warning was issued. Unable to secure clear running in the latter stages of the home straight.

 

RACE 6 – NSW BREEDERS CHALLENGE 3YO COLTS AND GELDINGS HEAT – ROUND 2 – 1609 metres

MY ULTIMATE BUDDHA– Pre-race blood sample. Hung out at various stages throughout the event.

DANGEROUS THREATS– Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside the leader passing the 1200 metres and improving to the lead passing the 1100 metres. Shifted out under pressure in the home straight on the final occasion.

BEACHRIDE– Improved three wide leaving the 950 metres before improving four wide around WAMBOYNEINAMERICA until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 700 metres.

OUR GOAT– Post-race swab sample.

WAMBOYNEINAMERICA– Improved three wide leaving the 950 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 800 metres.

 

RACE 7 – NSW BREEDERS CHALLENGE COLTS AND GELDINGS HEAT ROUND 2 – 1609 metres

IDEAL TIMING - Pre-race blood sample.

DOUBLE FEAR– Had its sulky contacted passing the 800 metres and as a result carried a flat offside tyre for the remainder of the event.

FORCE FULL– Post-race swab sample.

MIKI BE GOOD– Over raced throughout the event. Contacted the sulky wheel of DOUBLE FEAR passing the 800 metres whilst over racing. Stewards questioned Driver C Hart in relation to the tractability and performance of MIKI BE GOOD. Mr Hart explained MIKI BE GOOD over raced throughout the event and rounding the final turn and into the home straight, hung in whilst under pressure which proved difficult for Mr Hart to be able to drive the gelding out over the concluding stages. Mr Hart added he had advised Trainer D Atkinson to make some gear adjustments prior to the gelding’s next race start. In view of the tractability of MIKI BE GOOD a warning was issued. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

NOVANTA RISING– Stewards questioned Driver B Hewitt in relation to his decision to improve three wide from the 900 metres and was caught racing three wide for the remainder of the event. Mr Hewitt explained he had driven the gelding at its most recent start at Bathurst on 25 September and noted from that performance he felt the gelding had the required speed to be able to improve to the position outside the leader. Mr Hewitt stated Trainer Bernie Hewitt had advised prior to the event if the speed was to come out of the event to improve to the position outside the leader. Driver B Hewitt explained when improving three wide the gelding did not quicken as expected and noted the tempo of the event quickened at this stage. Mr Hewitt added in hindsight he had made the incorrect decision when looking to improve three wide.

AMERICAN SPIRIT– Pre-race blood sample. Caught racing three wide during the early stages until being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1200 metres.

DOUGS FLAME– Raced roughly under pressure when entering the home straight on the final occasion.

 

RACE 8 – MULTIQUIP AGGREGATES PACE – 1609 metres

EPIC ERNIE– Over raced throughout the event. Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

TISBURY ROCKS NZ– Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1200 metres.

KISSMELVIS– Pre-race blood sample.

ARGENT PEAK– Raced three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the lead passing the 950 metres. Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 9 – D M PLUMBING PACE – 1609 metres

EL CAMINO– Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

HESASHORETHING NZ– pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

NICKS PICK– Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

EAGLE WATCH NZ– Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside the leader passing the 950 metres. Will now be re-included into the mobile barrier draw.
