Trainers with multiple runners in any one race were questioned in relation to their intended tactics.

RACE 1 – A HORSE FOR EVERYONE WITH APG TROT (2631SS)

SUNNYS LITTLE ROSE (S Suvaljko) – Broke gait racing towards the front straight on the first occasion. A warning was placed on the mare’s racing manners.

HEZA WHIZARD NZ (C Lewis) – Checked and broke gait as a consequence behind the galloping SUNNYS LITTLE ROSE (S Suvaljko) racing towards the front straight on the first occasion.

ABUNDANCE NZ (B Stanley) – Slow to muster pace after the start was effected.

RACE 2 – BREED - SELL - RACE & WIN WITH APG TROT (2185MS)

ELISH STAR (L Harper) – Broke gait during the score up. Out of position when the start was effected.  Trainer K Bennet was advised the gelding will be place outside the draw in future mobile barrier events.  Trailed the field thereafter.

SKY EAGLE (G Johnson) – Raced roughly when placed under pressure over the concluding stages.

THATS NOT MY GAIT (T Wheeler) – Broke gait shortly after the start was effected.  Trainer D Young was advised the mare will be placed outside the draw in future mobile barrier events.

PATCHED (A De Campo) – Inconvenienced shortly after the start was effected.

MARENGO BAY (G Hall Snr) – Inconvenienced during the score up.

TAIMATE ANGUS NZ (T Sheehy) – Placed back in the mobile barrier draw.

RACE 3 – APG SALES @ MAGIC MILLIONS PERTH - 2 MARCH 2025 2YO MAIDEN PACE (2185MS)

MARGIMAC (H Charles) – Hung inwards at various stages.

ELVIRA JANE (M Miller) – Broke gait racing out of the back straight on the final occasion. Trainer K Prentice was advised the filly will be stood down from racing for a period of 6 days and until such time as the successful completion of 1 satisfactory re-qualifying trial.

RACE 4 – VALE REGINALD MULLINS 3YO MAIDEN PACE (2185MS)

DOUBLE EDGED (C Lewis) – Hung outwards after the start was effected.  When racing out of the front straight on the first occasion the near side shortener hopple pin failed to release with the off side pin later becoming caught around the off side leg.  Broke gait as a consequence racing towards the front straight on the final occasion.

SWITCH BLADE (T Wheeler) – Driver T Wheeler was fined $50 under the provisions of rule 162(1)(i) for failing to come into position by the Candy Pole marker.

RACE 5 – EMBRACE THE WINS ON COURSE WITH APG PACE (2185MS)

IWILL NEVER KNOW (M Munro) – Tired over the concluding stages.

DEBRENIKA (B Giudice) – Tired over the concluding stages.

JACK MANNIX (K Harper) – Started from outside the second line after a starting offence at Central Wheatbelt on 13th October 2024.

THINGS CHANGE (A De Campo) – Broke gait shortly after the start was effected.  Will continue to be drawn wide in future mobile barrier events.

RACE 6 – HAPPY 70TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY RAY & ROMA OKELY PACE (1684MS)

IRRESISTIBLE NZ (D Roberts) – Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities.  When questioned with relation to the performance having started a short price favourite and finishing unplaced, Driver D Roberts put forward the mare was over-racing as a consequence of DREAM CONTROL (M Munro) racing to her outside, contacting her own sulky during the event.  Ms Roberts also noted the filly was racing up in grade.

DREAM CONTROL (M Munro) – Contacted her own sulky during the event and over-raced in the early stages as a result.  Tired over the concluding stages.  Trainer/Driver M Munro advised he will use a longer cart set-up for future racing.

OUR LADY JEN (D Egerton-Green) – Driver D Egerton-Green was cautioned with relation to his application of the whip, in particular to refrain from allowing the whip to project outside the sulky confines.

SECRET REACTION (T Wheeler) – Fractious during the score up. Over-raced in the early stages.

RACE 7 – APG YOUR SALES COMPANY PACE (2185MS)

IM LIGHTNING BANNER NZ (D Egerton) – Shifted outwards shortly after removing the hood when racing into the home straight on the final occasion.

RACE 8 – AUSTRALIAN PACING GOLD PACE (1684MS)

DEVILS COURAGE (B Giudice) – Slow to muster speed after the start was effected.

RACE 9 – APG - YOUR PARTNER ON THE TRACK PACE (2631SS)

RODASI NZ (C Lewis) – Checked shortly after the start and broke bait as a consequence. Hung outwards throughout the event.

BELLISSIMO ACQUISTO NZ (R Warwick) – Swung sideways and shifted inwards after the start was effected, before galloping away.  Trainer M Brennan was advised the gelding will be placed outside the draw in future standing start events.
