Trainers with multiple runners in any one race were questioned in relation to their intended tactics.
RACE 1 – GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND TROT (2692MS)
THE HONOURS NZ (W Price) – Commenced to give ground in the vicinity of the 400m with the offside sulky wheel being contacted and deflated shortly after by SELLUNE (D Harper) and was subsequently beaten 76 metres.
ALDEBARAN MARSHALL (S McDonald) – Galloped out as the start was effected. Will be placed outside the draw in future mobile barrier events. Broke gait racing into the back straight on the first occasion. Will be stood down from racing for a period of 6 days and until such time as the completion of 1 satisfactory re-qualifying trial. Trailed the field thereafter and took no competitive part. Trainer B Stanley advised the gelding will now be going for a spell.
MRIYA DREAM (B Johnson) – Galloped out as the start was effected. Will continue to be placed outside the mobile barrier draw.
SELLUNE (D Harper) – Inconvenienced behind a tiring runner before being shifted outwards making contact with the offside sulky wheel of THE HONOURS NZ (W Price).
RACE 2 – GANNONS SPORTSWEAR & TROPHIES 2YO PACE (2185MS)
EVERYWHERE MAN (K Harper) – Inclined to hang outwards throughout the event. Hung outwards under pressure racing in the front straight on the final occasion.
RACE 3 – GUMNUT CATERING 4YO+ PACE (2185MS)
IDEALINCIDER (T Lynn) – Trainer P Costello sought and was granted permission to remove the spreaders after competing at Bunbury on Saturday, 9 November 2024.
IM TOILER (G Johnson) – Commenced to give ground over the concluding stages of the event to be beaten 50 metres.
LUCY HELEN (K Harper) – Hung inwards contacting numerous marker pegs and raced roughly leaving the front straight on the first occasion. Commenced to give ground in the vicinity of the 600m to be beaten 65 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
WELEASE WODDEWICK (G Hall Jnr) – When questioned in relation to the performance Driver G Hall Jnr stated that the gelding was not travelling into the event as anticipated and when he elected to shift outwards to continue into clear running the gelding was inclined to hang inwards and contact its own sulky before finishing the event only fairly. Stewards noted Mr Hall Jnr’s comments.
RACE 4 – LOVICK FABRICATION PACE (1684MS)
No racing incidents to report.
RACE 5 – LIQUOR TRADERS PACE (2185MS)
No racing incidents to report.
RACE 6 – BATTERY FORCE PACE (2185MS)
ELSAMAY (E Suvaljko) – Inconvenienced racing out of the front straight on the first occasion.
BLAZE COOPS (K Harper) – Over-raced through the early and middle stages of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
TASHS SPARTAN (T Lynn) – Broke gait racing out of the front straight on the first occasion. Will be stood down from racing for a period of 6 days and until such time as the completion of 1 satisfactory re-qualifying trial.
RACE 7 – ALLWOOD STUD 3YO WA COUNTRY DERBY PACE (2692MS)
PERFECT MOVE (K Symington) – Commenced to give ground in the vicinity of the 600m to be beaten 223 metres. Will be stood down from racing for a period of 6 days and until such time as the completion of 1 satisfactory re-qualifying trial.
MENEMSHA (A De Campo) – Trainer/Driver A De Campo was fined $100 under the provisions of HR238 for failing to notify Stewards of tactics for dual runners.
IDEAL INTEREST (A Markham) – Commenced to give ground in the vicinity of the 400m to be beaten 71 metres.
STAR OF THE GALAXY (D Miller) – Commenced to give ground in the vicinity of the 600m to be beaten 102 metres. A warning was placed against the gelding's racing performance. When considering penalty Stewards took into consideration the gelding’s individual mile rate.
RACE 8 – PERTH CITY TYRES PACE (2631SS)
Stewards held up the all clear and advised patrons to hold all tickets at the request of the RWWA starter to review the beginning of the event. Upon review no action was taken with the all clear being given on the judges numbers of 1,6,2 and 3.
MY LITTLE BIG MAN NZ (C Lewis) – Broke gait shortly after the start was effected. A warning was placed against the gelding’s barrier manners.
CHILLIN (M Brown) – Delayed the start. Stood flat footed as the start was effected losing considerable ground. Will be placed outside the draw in future standing start events. Trailed the field thereafter and took no competitive part.

RACE 5 – TABTOUCH WA PACING CUP (G1) PACE (2536MS)
Trainer Mr M Brennan reported that PINNY TIGER recovered well following the race and attributed the disappointing performance to the gelding over-racing and failing to settle at any stage during the event and that he will continue to monitor PINNY TIGER with a view to starting the gelding at Gloucester Park on Friday, 15 November 2024.
