Late Report – Wagin, Friday 28 November 2025
Race 5 WAGIN WOOLORAMA CUP PACE (2180MS)
Upon inquiry, Driver C Peterson (ALEXANDRA THEGREAT) pleaded guilty to a charge under HR149(2) for an unacceptable drive with the particulars being that after initially failing to hold the lead shortly after the start and unsuccessfully challenging for that position in the front straight on the first occasion, he then elected to again, on two separate occasions to challenge for the lead, first when leaving the back straight on the second occasion and again in the front straight to receive the bell which in the opinion of the Stewards was the major contributing factor to the mare commencing to give ground at approximately the 500m to be beaten 44 metres. Subsequently Mr Peterson had his licence to drive in races suspended for a period 28 days with the dates to be confirmed. When assessing penalty, Stewards took into consideration Mr Petersons guilty plea and his good record under the rule.
Late Report - Gloucester Park, Friday 5 December 2025
RACE 3 – WA FOTON DIESEL PACE (2130MS)
Trainer Mr S Tognolini advised that NUTBUSH GIRL recovered well and the only reason he could put forward for the disappointing performance was that the mare may not have been suited to racing outside the leader and he added that if the mare pleases him in its trackwork he will continue with the current preparation with the intention of starting the mare at Gloucester Park on Friday 12 December 2025.
R Harrod
Senior Steward – Harness
