He further added that given the runners along the marker pegs a run would have become available in the latter stages in his opinion to which it did and finished off the event well. Stewards noted his comments.

AALESUND– Stewards queried driver R Morris in relation to the tactics adopted.  Mr Morris explained that in an attempt to find the position outside of the leader was unable to muster the necessary speed to do so with MILITARY MAN NZ over racing to his inside resulting in AALESUND racing three wide for the remainder of the event.

DANCING RIVER– Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten a considerable distance.  Stewards queried driver G Panella in relation to the performance.  G Panella explained to Stewards that coming to the 1000 metres was obliged to shift three wide when trailing COOINDALAI when that runner commenced to give ground.  When racing three wide was unable to move in advance of COOINDALAI and as a result was left racing three wide for the remainder and weakened over the concluding stages.  Stewards noted G Panella’s comments and issued a warning against the performance.
