RACE 1 – THE SEABREEZE HOTEL NELSON BAY WARATAH HEAT – 1609 metres
FLARE UP– Pre-race sample was taken. Contacted the barrier arm in the middle stages of the score up. Post-race sample was taken.
WAR WESTERN– Galloped away as the start was affected. A warning was issued. Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.
AVAIDEN– Checked shortly after the start was affected.
RACE 2 – IMPERIAL HOTEL MAITLAND LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres
SWEET MAMA NZ– Had a tendency to hang in and race roughly as the field negotiated the final turn. A warning was issued.
RAKERO ICE NZ– Pre-race sample was taken. Post-race sample was taken.
TWO CRACKED CORN– Contacted the off side wheel of RAKERO ICE NZ shortly after the start was affected and raced roughly for a short distance. Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.
VINETTE– Broke stride in the early and middle stages of the score up and was out of position as the start was affected. A warning was issued. A post-race veterinary examination revealed it to be lame behind. Acting on veterinary advice was stood down for a period of seven days.
RACE 3 – FINNIANS TAVERN PORT MACQUARIE PACE – 2030 metres
SOHO DARKNSTORMY– Post-race sample was taken.
SPUNKYS GOTSECRETS– Out of position as the start was affected. No action was taken. Broke stride as the field raced into the back straight on the first occasion. A warning was issued.
SYLVIA KAY NZ– Stewards cautioned driver S Lindsay in relation to the manner in which he applied the whip in particular the continuous nature. When questioned regard his movements at the top of the home straight by way of shifting up the track S Lindsay explained that after entering the home straight on the final occasion he corrected his runner down the track and sustained contact to the near side wheel from a runner travelling well behind he further added that he then continued to drive his runner out aggressively and as a result continued to shift up the track. S Lindsey was cautioned in relation to shifting up the track and advised that more control is needed in similar circumstances.
RACE 4 – ELDERS INSURANCE NEWCASTLE PACE – 1609 metres
WILD CARD NZ– Pre-race sample was taken.
MAJOR MAL– Post-race sample was taken.
HALSEY NICOLE– Hampered in the early stages of the score up and was out of position as the start was affected. No action was taken.
SPIRIT KING– Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.
RACE 5 – BEACH BURRITO DARBY STREET PACE – 1609 metres
RYANS GANGSTER– Driver R Morrise was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(i) for failing to be in position by the designated candy pole.
ROCLEA IMAGE– Pre-race sample was taken. Post-race sample was taken.
RACE 6 – THE KENT HOTEL HAMILTON PACE – 2030 metres
IDEAL MONDO– Pre-race sample was taken.
STEALTH BOMBA NZ– Broke stride in the early stages of the score up. Connections were advised it will be placed on its last chance in the mobile barrier draw. Post-race sample was taken.
RACE 7 – HUNTER WILDFIRES RUGBY CLUB PACE – 1609 metres
LOUIE DADA– Had a tendency to hang in and race roughly at various stages of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. It was reported post-race that the headcheck had broken at the saddle during the event which may have contributed to its manners.
EL FRANCO DE– Pre-race sample was taken.
GROSSO NASO– Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.
BARBARADAWNSHANNON– Upon request from connections approval was given for it to be re-included into the mobile barrier draw.
LITTLE FRENCHIE– Post-race sample was taken.
RACE 8 – INSIGHT BUILDING SERVICES PACE – 1609 metres
SEEKING PLEASURE– Had a tendency to hang in whilst under pressure rounding the final turn and contacted a number of marker pegs.
WALTER WARLOCK– Had a tendency to hang in whilst under pressure rounding the final turn and contacted a number of marker pegs.
PARTY CENTRAL NZ– Pre-race sample was taken. Post-race sample was taken.
RACE 9 – THE HAWTHORNE CLUB PACE – 1609 metres
GLENFRANKIE– Driver J Gallagher was reprimanded under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when racing down the back straight on the final occasion permitted his runner to shift wider which placed UNCLE GREGORY in restricted room when racing to the inside of SECRET WISH.
LA DERNIERE– Driver L Sutton was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(h) for failing to come up into position prior to the start being affected. Post-race sample was taken.
CERTAINLYCALLITIN – Pre-race sample was taken.
RACE 10 –TAB INTER DOMINION HEATS 29 NOV @ NEWCASTLE PACE – 1609 metres
WALLAROY BOY– Out of position as the start was affected. A warning was issued.
