RACE 1 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1609 metres
ARTISTIC SCOTT– Pre-race blood sample.
ULTIMATE RHAPSODY– Contacted the barrier arm and broke stride checking the running of HY FILANTE resulting in a false start being declared. A warning was issued.
STILL ROLLIN NZ– Declared a late scratching at 3.30pm acting on veterinary advice.
OUR PRINCESS KENNEDY NZ– Post-race swab sample.
RACE 2 – GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND HRNSW GUARANTEED LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres
SPORTING ROBYN NZ– Checked as the field negotiated the final turn.
CORAL STRIDE– Pre-race blood sample.
ROSE NOIRE NZ– Broke stride as the field negotiated the final turn. A warning was issued. Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish before obtaining inside running. Post-race swab sample. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the near side fore coronet band. Connections were advised it would be stood down until a veterinary certificate of fitness is tendered.
RACE 3 – MEDOWIE LODGE PACE – 1609 metres
RUNFROMTERROR– Hampered as the field negotiated the final turn. Post-race swab sample.
PARADISE POINT– Pre-race blood sample.
BETTOR WATCH ARDEN NZ– Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.
THE CID– Checked as the field negotiated the final turn.
RYANS GANGSTER– Broke stride just prior to entering the home straight for the run to the finish. A warning was issued.
RACE 4 – EMPIRE STALLIONS PACE – 2030 metres
ROYAL GAMBLE NZ– When shifting wider after entering the home straight for the run to the finish engaged in a jostle with FAR OUT BRO. Post-race swab sample.
FAR OUT BRO– Jostled with ROYAL GAMBLE NZ shortly after entering the home straight for the run to the finish.
WAVETHEBILL NZ– Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.
ONE FOR THE RODI– Pre-race blood sample. Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.
RACE 5 – WOODLANDS STUD PACE – 2030 metres
SELSEY BILL NZ– Fractious in the early stages of the score up.
LACEYS LAD NZ– Post-race swab sample.
LITTLE DEMON– Pre-race blood sample. Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.
THEMIGHTY MIKI NZ– Out of position as the start was effected despite the best efforts of its driver. A warning was issued.
RACE 6 – SKYFALL ESTATE PACE – 1609 metres
COLERNE– Slow away as the start was effected. Post-race swab sample.
NOISY CRUSADER– Pre-race blood sample.
MISTER BRILLANTE– Broke stride in the middle stages of the score up and was out of position as the start was effected. A warning was issued.
ASCOT SHOWTIME– Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance. When questioned regarding the performance Driver T Callaghan advised travelled well throughout the event and moved into it well but was forced wider rounding the final turn and failed to run on from that point however he was not overly disappointed in the performance. Trainer M Callaghan advised if anything was amiss in the days subsequent he would notify the Stewards.
RACE 7 – AVE TECHNOLOGIES PACE – 1609 metres
SWEETLY SPOKEN– Slow away as the start was effected.
APACHE WHITESOX– Tightened for racing room and contacted marker pegs racing down the home straight for the run to the finish.
MAGIC SHOOS– Pre-race blood sample. Sustained contact to the near side wheel inside the final 100 metres.
LIGHTNING BOB– Driver J Gallagher was reprimanded under Rule 168(1)(a) in that when manoeuvring down the track inside the 100 metres contacted the near side wheel of MAGIC SHOOS, raced roughly shifting in restricting the racing room of APACHE WHITESOX which contacted marker pegs.
SUBSTITOOTH– Gave ground over the concluding stages.
MACH CHARM- Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. Fractious in the early stages of the score up. A warning was issued. Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.
RACE 8 – PITCHER PARTNERS PACE – 1609 metres
ROCKNROLL TONY– Placed in restricted room entering the first turn.
BE GOOD BENNY– Placed in restricted room entering the first turn.
HOKD BACK THE RIVER NZ– Pre-race blood sample.
PEPPA BLISS– Post-race swab sample.
IDEAL MONDO– Driver T Callaghan was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when closing down the track when entering the first turn to the position in the lead restricted the racing room of BE GOOD BENNY which in turn restricted the racing room of ROCKNROLL TONY.
MY ULTIMATE MAJOR– Had a tendency to hang in and contact marker pegs passing the 900 metres and again rounding the final turn and raced roughly for a short distance. Connections were advised it will be placed on its last chance to race truly.
SWEET CREATION– Broke stride as the field negotiated the final turn. Connections were advised given its recent record it would be stood down until the completion of one requalifying trial.
RACE 9 – BARASTOC MAIDEN PACE – 2030 metres
WATSLUVGOTTADO– Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event. Prior to the declaration of all clear Stewards reviewed the patrol footage in relation to WATSLUVGOTTADO racing inside the line of marker posts prior to entering the home straight for the run to the finish. Upon review Stewards noted WATSLUVGOTTADO shifted inside the line however were of the view no advantage was gained while still trailing the leader and as a result no alterations were made to the placings and all clear was given on the judge’s numbers. At a subsequent inquiry, Driver G Panella pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(2) in that when racing inside the line of marker pegs she applied the whip prior to returning to returning to the course proper. Driver G Panella was fined the sum of $200. When considering penalty Stewards took into account her guilty plea, record in relation to the rule and that no alterations to the placings were made.
