RACE 1 – MEN OF LEAGUE NEWCASTLE HUNTER PACE – 1609 metres

STUDLEIGH ROWSY – Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages.

HEAVENLY REASON– Pre race sample was taken.

STELLAS DELIGHTNZ – Post race sample was taken.

REPARTEE NZ– Pre race sample was taken.

 

RACE 2 – SOUTH NEWCASTLE LEAGUES CLUB PACE – 1609 metres

YESNOMAYBESO – Pre race sample was taken. Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages. Post race sample was taken.

SHANKS FOR COMING - Pre race sample was taken.

MAMMALS RIDDLE– Was held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

 

RACE 3 – MULTICAM CNC PACE – 2030 metres

NITRO LAD – Was examined pre and post race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

BOOMER ROCK– Pre race sample was taken. Broke stride as the field negotiated the first turn and again when negotiating the final turn. Given its recent record connections were advised it would be stood down until the completion of four re qualifying trials, in addition to a stand down from racing for a period of 28 days.

ROYAL ADMIRAL– Was hampered in the early stages of the event and was caught wide and was obliged to work forward to the position outside of the leader whilst over racing. Continued to over race throughout the middle stages before weakening out of the event and being retired. Driver B Lindsay explained to stewards that in her opinion it had choked off in the run and as a result was pulled up. Post race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities. Connections were advised it would be stood down until it can re qualify on one occasion.

SIR SIMON– Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages. Post race swab sample was taken.

OUR CHANCE TODREAM- Pre race sample was taken.

THE THUG NZ– Was held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

IMPERIAL SNAPPER– Was held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

 

RACE 4 – WANGI WORKERS CLUB PACE – 1609 metres

OLEG– Post race sample was taken.

DHAULAGIRI NZ– Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages. Driver G Panella was not overly disappointed in the performance given the run afforded. She further added that it was the intention to attempt to lead the event and was left racing without cover outside of the leader and over raced to which was its detriment.

JASPER STYLES- Pre race sample was taken.

QUE SERA– Was held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

CAPTAIN DANNZ - Pre race sample was taken. Was held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

 

RACE 5 – CLUB MACQUARIE PACE – 2030 metres

JOHNSON STEP NZ – Pre race sample was taken. Was held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

GIGI BOB– Broke stride as the field left the back straight on the first occasion as a result of the tempo slackening in the event at that point.

BOYZHAVTIME NZ– Was tightened for racing room rounding the first turn. Locked wheels with SERGEI approaching the 100 metres and remained engaged for that distance and was taken out of the event.

HAZELNUTS– Stewards adjourned an inquiry in relation to an incident which may have occurred as the field raced down the back straight on the first occasion. Post race sample was taken.

GLENGARRY ROSE NZ– Was tightened for racing room as the field raced down the back straight on the first occasion. An inquiry was adjourned to a time and date to be fixed. Was held up for clear running over the concluding stages and was checked and broke stride.

SERGEI– Was checked and locked wheels approaching the 100 metres with BOYZHAVTIME NZ. Given the minimal movement stewards could not lay blame on any driver or horse and noted the incident.

POPS BOY- Pre race sample was taken.

 

RACE 6 – WESTS GROUP ROSS GIGG MEMORIAL – 1609 metres

DANCE FOR GLORY – Obtained inside running over the concluding stages. Post race sample was taken.

SWAGGIE SHANNON– Was examined pre and post race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

MASTER CATCH- Pre race sample was taken.

ART TUTOR - Pre race sample was taken. Stewards queried driver Joe Conolly in relation to the tactics adopted and the overall performance. Driver Joe Conolly explained that it was the intention to move forward in the event. He further added that after beginning fairly. Looked to just work forward in the event when racing three wide however the tempo was quick throughout and did not let off and was unable to move forward to the position outside of the leader and was obliged to restrain to the rear of the field. He was not overly disappointed in the performance given the sectionals recorded and would expect improvement moving forward. Post race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities.

 

RACE 7 – PRESIDENT NEWCASTLE HUNTER MOL PACE – 1609 metres

CLASSIC ARC – Hung out as the field negotiated the final turn. A warning was issued.

FOUR STAR LINCOLN- Post race sample was taken.

PARALLEL – Broke stride as the field negotiated the first turn. A warning was issued. Was inconvenienced and raced roughly as the field negotiated the final turn.

MYKINDAFEELING– Was checked as the field negotiated the first turn.

THE CID- Was checked as the field negotiated the first turn, obliged to shift wider and worked forward to the position outside of the leader. Stewards queried driver J Callaghan in relation to the performance. J Callaghan explained that after receiving some interference in the early stages of the event had to do more work than anticipated to find a position in the running line however overall was somewhat disappointed in the performance. Stewards noted his comments.

SIR RICHARD LEE- Pre race sample was taken. Was severely checked as the field negotiated the first turn after locking wheels with PARALELL whilst in a gallop.

CROWN MOJO– Was checked and broke stride as the field negotiated the first turn.

ROCK SUPREME– Broke stride as the field raced down the back straight on the final occasion. A warning was issued. Driver B McElhinney was fined the sum of $200 under rule 156(7) in that when entering the home straight when trailing the field struck the sulky discs with the whip.

 

RACE 8 – NEWCASTLE INTERIOR LININGS PACE – 2030 metres

BREXITT - Pre race sample was taken.

WHAT NOW SHANNON- Post race sample was taken.

APACHE WHITESOX- Pre race sample was taken. Was out of position as the start was effected. Connections were advised it would be placed on its last chance in the mobile barrier draw.

CASHWRANGS SMOKER– Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.

 

RACE 9 – WESTS GROUP PACE – 2030 metres

HEAR THE CALL NZ - Was examined pre and post race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

MAYWYN TOUGH- Pre race sample was taken.

RINTIN- Post race sample was taken.

AMERICAN KESTREL- Pre race sample was taken. Was examined pre and post race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.

SPIRIT INSIDE– Broke stride shortly after the start was effected. Given its recent record stewards advised connections that it will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 10 – WWW.MYWESTS.COM.AU MAIDEN PACE – 1609 metres

FEELING LUCKY – Broke stride as the field left the home straight on the final occasion. Connections were advised given its recent record it will now be stood down until it can re qualify on one occasion.

COLETTE- Pre race sample was taken. Post race sample was taken.

THREE CHORD RIFF– Was hampered as the field left the home straight on the final occasion.

SIANGDI– Was checked as the field left the left the home straight on the final occasion.

MAJOR DOODLE- Pre race sample was taken. Was hampered as the field left the home straight on the final occasion.
