RACE 1 – $5 IRON JACE PACE – 1609 metres

JOEYS ON A ROLL– Broke stride in the early stages of the score up, shifted down the track and hampered the running of FEELING LUCKY and ultimately was out of position as the start was affected.  A warning was issued.

SPIRIT INSIDE– Galloped away as the start was affected.  A warning was issued.

DEBONAIRE– Contacted its own sulky during the early stages of the event and raced well in advance of the field in the early stages of the event despite efforts from driver Z Fitzpatrick.  Post-race sample was taken.

AVAIDEN– Galloped away as the start was affected.  A warning was issued.

FEELING LUCKY– Prior to the declaration of all clear Stewards reviewed the footage and evidence tendered by driver L Sutton in relation to being hampered during the early stages of the score up.  It was established that after JOEYS ON A ROLL had galloped FEELING LUCKY had attempted to progress through to the inside along the marker pegs however was hampered, was unbalanced and ultimately broke stride in the middle stages of the score up.  Stewards determined that FEELING LUCKY was not afforded a fair start and was declared a non-runner in the event. 

TEAK NZ– Pre-race sample was taken. 

 

RACE 2 – BERESFIELD BOWLING CLUB PACE – 1609 metres

MEGS MONARO– Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event whilst leading. 

ITS INEVITABLE NZ– Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. 

WATCHFUL LADY– Pre-race sample was taken.  Post-race sample was taken.

WHITE STAR MOLLY– Held up for clear running in the early stage of the run to the finish.

WAITING FOR LOVE– Broke stride in the early stages of the score up and galloped for some distance.  Connections were advised given its recent record it will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.  Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

DIDSHEDOIT NZ– Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

 

RACE 3 – SOUTH NEWCASTLE LEAGUES CLUB PACE – 2030 metres

NEVER KNOW BLAZE– Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

SAIFA NZ– Pre-race sample was taken.  Hung out shortly after the start was affected.  Had a tendency to shift ground up the track whilst under pressure over the concluding stages.  Post-race sample was taken.

KARAOKE KING– Tightened for racing room shortly after the start was affected.

OUR PRINCESS KENNEDY NZ– Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.  Held up for clear running in the latter stages of the run to the finish.

 

RACE 4 – WESTS GROUP ROSS GIGG MEMORIAL – 1609 metres

ADUACE– A post-race veterinary examination revealed it to have bled from both nostrils.  Connections were advised that it would be stood down for a period of three months and until the completion of requalifying trial and also a veterinary certificate of fitness.

ULTRA BLISS– Sustained a contact to the off side wheel leaving the back straight on the final occasion.

SHIRALEE– Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.

YAHOO NZ– Pre-race sample was taken.  Driver D Murphy was reprimanded under rule 168(1)(a) in that when manoeuvring wider on the track leaving the back straight on the final occasion contacted the off side wheel of ULTRA BLISS.  Post-race sample was taken. 

 

RACE 5 – DORA CREEK WORKERS CLUB PAC E- 1609 metres

SPIRIT KING– Post-race sample was taken.

BETTOR TO BE TRICKY NZ– Pre-race sample was taken.  Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.  Had a tendency to pull hard during the score up.

 

RACE 6 – FAMILY OF LEAGUE NEWCASTLE HUNTER PACE – 1609 metres

MCCRIKEY NZ– Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested. 

FAST TRACKER– Pre-race sample was taken. 

DADNDAVE NZ– Post-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 7 – family of league Newcastle hunter president pace – 1609 metres

AMERICAN KESTREL– Broke stride as the field negotiated the first turn.  A warning was issued.

DAGGY LAMB NZ– Post-race sample was taken.

SUNDAY SESH– Pre-race sample was taken.

WARRAWEE FLYER– Hampered as the field negotiated the first turn.

GUNFIGHTERSGHOST– Broke stride in the middle stages of the score up and was out of position as the start was affected taking no competitive part in the event.  A warning was issued.

SILVER LADY NZ– Hampered as the field negotiated the first turn.

LINCS POOR BOY– Checked as the field negotiated the first turn.

 

RACE 8 – FAMILY OF LEAGUE NEWCASTLE HUNTER SECRETARY PACE – 1609 metres

SULTAN FELLA– Pre-race sample was taken.

OURBUSHWACKER– Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. 

SWEET CREATION– Galloped away as the start was affected.  A warning was issued.  Broke stride as the field negotiated the first turn.  Connections were advised that given its recent record it would now be stood down to one requalifying trail.  Stewards queried driver M Ison in relation to the tactics adopted.  M Ison explained that after galloping away in the early stages of the event did not lose much ground and when negotiating the first turn broke stride and still was racing within contact of the field and with the instructions to be forward in the event felt that her best option at that stage was to move to the position outside of the leader.  Stewards noted her comments.

BREXITT– Broke stride in the early stages of the score up and was out of position as the start was affected.  Connections were advised given its recent record it will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

TO INFINITYNBEYOND– Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.  Post-race sample was taken.

GLENN FORD NZ– Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

WALLAROY BOY– Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

 

RACE 9 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP MAIDEN PACE – 1609 metres

MISSUS GONE– Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

RAINBOW REASON– Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.  Cast its near side hind plate during the event.

ROCKNROLL SLOY– Pre-race sample was taken.  When questioned regarding the performance driver J Brown explained that given the tempo in the event was difficult to make ground over the concluding stages however was not disappointed in the performance. 

 

RACE 10 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1609 metres

CAROLSDIAMOND– Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.

A LOT OF LUVIN– Post-race sample was taken.

MADAMS PEARL– Pre-race sample was taken.

DANCEBYTHESEASIDE– Broke stride as the field negotiated the final turn.  Connections were advised given its recent record it will now be stood down until it can requalify on one occasion.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed a superficial laceration to the near side fore leg. 

SILENT LEGEND– Had a tendency to hang in at various stages of the event. 

SPUNKYS GOTSECRETS– Upon request from connections was re-included into the mobile barrier draw.

OCHOCINCO– Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages.

EYES BEEN PATIENT– Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages.
