RACE 1 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 2030 metres
LUCY STYLES– Broke gear upon entering the back straight on the first occasion then broke stride and was retired from the event. Post-race and was confirmed on the films that it broke its number one carrying strap on the near side.
SIYA NZ– Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.
LOUIE DADA– Had a tendency to over race whilst leading the event in the early and middle stages. Post-race sample was taken.
ROCKNROLL WILLY– Had a tendency to hang out shortly after the start was affected. Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages before weakening over the concluding stages to be beaten a considerable distance. Connections were advised it will be stood down until it can requalify on one occasion.
WOOPAA– Hampered as the field negotiated the final turn when trailing the weakening runners.
BETTATHANMOZARELLA– Pre-race sample was taken.
ALTIANO– Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance. A warning was issued.
RACE 2 – TOOHEYS PACE – 1609 metres
SINBINNED– Driver M Ison was found guilty of a charge under rule 149(2) in that as the field entered the first turn when racing to the outside of THRIPENNY (G Andrews) it was reasonable and permissible for her to shift her runner down the track and fill the position outside of the leader however remained racing in a three wide position which allowed GLITTER STRIP to race up to it inside to which M Ison at that point of the event elected to restrain to the rear of the field and conceded approximately 20 metres which placed her in the position when racing down the back straight on the final occasion to make a three wide move to which again was forced wider on the track passing the 350 metres and cover extra ground after not being afforded its most favourable run and its opportunity to finish in its best position. Driver M Ison’s licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of 28 days. When considering penalty Stewards took into account her record in relation to the rule and relative inexperience.

GLITTER STRIP– Stewards queried driver J Taaffe in relation to the tactics in the early stages of the event. Driver J Taaffe explained that entering the first turn was happy to take cover and race in the one out one back position however his runner progressed to the inside of SINBINNED and shortly thereafter that runner was restrained to the rear of the field and was left racing in the position outside of the leader.
NIGHTWATCH STAR– Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.
RACE 3 – MCPHERSON PLUMBING 2YO PACE – 1609 metres
OAK RIDGE– Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.
MIKI LEE– Hampered shortly after the start was affected.
LOOKATSPUNKYDANCE– Broke stride shortly after the start was affected. Connections were advised that given its limited experience it will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw. Had a tendency to race roughly at various stages of the event.
CHLOBRO– Post-race sample was taken.
SEEKING PLEASURE– Pre-race sample was taken.
RACE 4 – NICHOLAS STRONG MEMORIAL – 1609 metres
JUNGLE JIVE– Had a tendency to hang out as the field negotiated the final turn and broke stride. A warning was issued.
GOODTIME SAILOR– Pre-race sample was taken. Post-race sample was taken. Driver S Grima was reprimanded under rule 170(2) for allowing his body to protrude outside the confines of the sulky by way of leaning back.
JUST TOMMY– Hampered as the field negotiated the final turn.
MAMMALS RIDDLE– Checked as the field negotiated the final.
TIMELY SOVEREIGN– Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. Hampered as the field negotiated the final turn.
RACE 5 – WANDIYALI HAWKESBURY TO HUNTER HEAT FIVE – 2030 metres
COULDNT RECOMMEND– Checked as the field negotiated the final turn when trailing weaking runners.
SHADOW ECLIPSE– Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.
BOOKER BAY– Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance. Driver R Morris explained that in the early stages of the event the tempo was quite slow and felt he was obliged to make a three wide move to the position outside of the leader however failed to run on over the conclusion stages and was somewhat disappointing. Connections were advised that a warning would be issued against the performance.

RACE 6 – WANDIYALI HAWKESBURY TO HUNTER HEAT SIX – 2030 metres
EIFFEL FROM HEAVEN– Pre-race sample was taken. Driver T Callaghan was reprimanded under rule 168(1)(a) in that when negotiating the final turn permitted his runner to shift wider on the track which hampered the running of CATCHINGCONFIDENCE.
RIPPIN GOOD FEELIN– Post-race sample was taken.
NIFTY STUDLEIGH– Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.
CATCHINGCONFIDENCE– Out of position as the start was affected. Driver G Panella was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(h) for failing to come up into position prior to the start being affected. Hampered as the field negotiated the final turn.
FLARE UP– Driver B Hughes was fine the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(h) for failing to come up into position prior to the start being affected.
RACE 7 – WANDIYALI HAWKESBURY TO HUNTER HEAT SEVEN – 2030 metres
WALLAROY BOY– Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.
SEVEN RIPPIN ACES– Post-race sample was taken.
NEVER KNOW BLAZE– Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.
CONOR MCGREGOR NZ– Pre-race sample was taken. Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance. When questioned regarding the performance driver G Panella explained that given the slow early tempo in the early stages of the event was happy to make a move three wide to a position outside of the leader however was disappointing over the concluding stages when asked for an effort. Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on its record given its performance.
RACE 8 – GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND PACE – 1609 metes
ITS DOWN TO DIGGER– Out of position at the candy pole prior to the start. Driver R Morris was fined the sum of $50 under Rule 162(1)(i)
YESNOMAYBESO– Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.
GOODTIME BRAVO– Broke stride during the middle stages of the score up and was out of position as the start was affected. A warning was issued. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Grima explained to Stewards that after missing the start landed in a reasonable position however failed to travel genuine throughout the event and was somewhat disappointing. Stewards noted his comments.
MAURLEN BOY– Post-race sample was taken.
DOLLARSIGN– Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.
EIFFEL FROM HEAVEN– Pre-race sample was taken. Driver T Callaghan was reprimanded under rule 168(1)(a) in that when negotiating the final turn permitted – Pre-race sample was taken.
RACE 9 – AVE TECHNOLOGIES PACE – 2030 metres
ROSEBERG NZ– Post-race sample was taken.
BOYZHAVTIME NZ– Checked as the field negotiated the final turn when trailing weakening runners.
PELIGROSO– Pre-race sample was taken. Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten a considerable distance. Connections were advised that a warning would be issued.
RACE 10 – INTERDOMINION HEATS 2024 @ NEWCASTLE 29 NOVEMBER PACE – 1609 metres
SPIRIT KING– Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.
THE REAL MCCOY NZ– Pre-race sample was taken. Out of position at the candy pole prior to the start being affected. Driver S Grima was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(i)
LACEYS LAD NZ– Post-race sample was taken.
RICKOSHAY– Out of position as the start was affected despite the best efforts from its driver. A warning was issued.
