RACE 1 –TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY PACE – 1609 metres

SPUNKYS PLAYING UP– Raced roughly entering the first turn. A warning was issued.

MELS ACE– Was tightened for racing room rounding the first turn.

CASHWRANGS SMOKER– Pre race sample was taken. Was caught wide in the early stages of the event having a tendency to over race and ultimately work forward to the position outside of the leader and continued to over race. Was advised that it did have tendency to contact its own sulky through the run. Connections were advised a warning would be issued against its racing manners. Post race sample was taken.

BREXITT– Broke stride in the early stages of the score up. A warning was issued.

SUNNY TOWN– Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.

 

RACE 2 – $10 PASTA KNIGHT TONIGHT PACE – 2030 metres

MAJOR DOODLE– Was held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

IDEAL SPORTS GIRL NZ– Pre race sample was taken. Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

ITSALLABOUTJACK – Was declared a late scratching at 4:52pm due to transport difficulties.

CHEVRONS BYPASS NZ– Post race sample was taken.

STEALTH BOMBA NZ– Broke stride in the middles stages of the score up. A warning was issued. Had a tendency to race roughly shortly after the start was effected.

YESNOMAYBESO– Had a tendency to over race throughout the early and middle stages of the event. Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance. Connections were advised a warning would be issued against its tractability.

 

RACE 3 – MATES RATES @ THE PACEWAY PACE – 1609 metres

Prior to the declaration of all clear stewards reviewed the start of the event in relation to HEAVENLY HOLLY. Upon review it was established that in the early stages of the score up I AM MARQUEZ contacted the off side wheel and as a result sustained a puncture to which just prior to the start being effected was noticed by driver C Formosa resulting in her pulling it up and ultimately was retired from the event as such stewards deemed it not to be afforded a fair start and declared it a non – runner in the field.

JASPER STYLES– Was held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

I AM MARQUEZ– Pre race sample was taken. Contacted the off side wheel of HEAVENLY HOLLY in the early stages of the score up.

GROESTAR– Driver J Callaghan was reprimanded under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when racing down the back straight on the final occasion, permitted his runner to shift wider on the track and as a result hampered the running of HUEY LEWIS who as a result raced roughly for a short distance. Post race sample was taken.

HUEY LEWISwas checked and raced roughly racing down the back straight on the final occasion.

OLEG– Was examined post race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

 

RACE 4 – $10 BBQ & BEV FRI 22 JULY PACE – 1609 metres

JOHNSON STEP NZ– Had a tendency to over race whilst leading the event. Post race sample was taken.

ARDENS ACE– Was held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

POPS BOY– Had a tendency to hang in during the score up and was slow away as the start was effected.

SERGEI - Pre race sample was taken.

 

RACE 5 – HARNESS BREEDERS PATHWAY STAKES 3YO PACE – 1609 metres

DOWN STREAM– Racing into the back straight lost touch with the field and compounded over the concluding stages to be beaten a considerable distance. Post race veterinary examination revealed it to be displaying signs of cardiac arrhythmia. As such connections were advised it would be stood down for a period of 14 days, one re – qualifying trial and pending a veterinary certificate of fitness with the results of a ECG.

BAT MATSON- Post race sample was taken.

IM ALL BLING– Driver J Osborn was reprimanded under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when racing down the home straight for the run to the finish when correcting his runner back down the track, restricted the racing of KILLARA SHOGUN.

KILLARA SHOGUN- Pre race sample was taken. Broke stride in the latter stages of the score up and was out of position as the start was effected. Given its limited experience connections were advised that it will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw. Hung in upon entering the home straight in the run to the finish and contacted marker pegs. Was hampered inside the final 100 metres.

AVAIDEN– Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten a considerable distance. Connections were advised that it would be issued a warning against the performance.

 

RACE 6 – XMAS IN JULY/MEMBERS NIGHT FRI 29 JULY PACE – 2030 metres

IM BILLS LAST NZ – Post race sample was taken.

SNEAKY PEAK– Had a tendency to over race whilst racing outside of the leader in the early and middle stages of the event and weakened to be beaten some distance. Connections were advised that it would be stood down until it can re – qualify on one occasion.

CLOUDIN UP– Pre race sample was taken. Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages.

 

RACE 7 – OAS TECHNOLOGY PACE – 2030 metres

HOIHO NZ – Was checked as the field left the back straight until entering the home straight when trailing weakening runners.

CLASSIC ARC- Post race sample was taken.

BIG TIME HUSTLER- Pre race sample was taken. Had a tendency to hang in leaving the back straight on the final occasion.

AD MAIORA– Was declared a late scratching at 7:19pm acting on veterinary advice due to being lame in the near side hind.

HEAR THE CALL NZ– Was examined pre and post race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

 

RACE 8 – PSC INSURANCE BROKERS NEWCASTLE PACE – 2030 metres

IM ROCKIN IT– Post race sample was taken.

CHANGINGOFTHEGUARD– Pre race sample was taken.

CASUAL RIVER– Was examined pre and post race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

ALEX TEE– Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.
