A false start was declared at the first attempt when the line pole of CURADH (D Egerton-Green) became detached in the score up. This incident resulted in a delay of approximately five minutes.
The announcement of all clear was delayed to allow Stewards to review the patrol vision and interview Driver S Suvaljko (LONESTAR WARRIOR) in relation to shifting inside marker pegs in the home straight on the final occasion. After doing so Stewards were satisfied LONESTAR WARRIOR gained no advantage to an extent warranting action under HR66(e) and all clear was issued.

General: Drivers G Johnson (FLY EAGLEROSE) and Driver J Suvaljko (THE PROTOTYPE) were interviewed in relation to FLY EAGLEROSE racing roughly for a short period leaving the back straight on the final occasion. Mr Suvaljko stated that THE PROTOTYPE was starting to give ground and runners from his outside which had an advantage over his drive shifted in, causing THE PROTOTYPE to shift inwards slightly. After viewing the vision and the statements from both drivers, Mr Johnson was reminded to exercise more care when improving into restricted positions in future.
Further, in relation to LONESTAR WARRIOR shifting inside marker pegs approaching the home straight on the final occasion, Driver S Suvaljko was fined $50 under HR163(1)(c)(i).
