Trainers with multiple runners in any one race were questioned in relation to their intended tactics.
RACE 1 – GREAT SOUTHERN WASTE CASH FOR CANS PACE (2242MS)
SHOAL BAY (C Playle) – Broke gait in the score up and caused a false start. Will be placed outside the draw in future mobile barrier events. Checked and raced rough for a short distance leaving the back straight shortly after the start.
General: Driver H Charles (JUST CRUIZIN) was charged and pleaded guilty under the provisions of rule 163(1)(a)(iii) that of causing interference. The specifics being, shortly after the start when beginning quickly from barrier 3, Mr Charles has crossed down to the marker peg line when insufficiently clear of SHOAL BAY (C Playle) contacting that filly’s off side front leg causing it to race rough for a short distance. When considering penalty Stewards took into consideration Mr Charles’ guilty plea and the interference caused which was deemed to be low to mid, the carelessness shown was mid, Mr Charles’ licence to drive was suspended for a period of 12 days. Mr Charles was informed of his appeal rights.

RACE 3 – TABTOUCH SUPPORTS NARROGIN RACING PACE (1823MS)
General: ERA (T Lynn) was a late scratching due to falling in the parade ring.

RACE 4 – PLAN YOUR CHRISTMAS FUNCTION NOW PACE (2242MS)
General: BONNE AMOUR (K Symington) and ALTA FREEWAY (C Lewis) dead heated for first place.

RACE 5 – GARRY ROGER SCOTT & ASSOCIATES GREAT SOUTHERN DISTRICTS COUNCIL DERBY PACE (2242MS)
BUNDEGI BLUE (E Suvaljko) – Hung out entering the front straight on the final occasion and raced rough for a short distance.
RACE 6 – THE MARTY SHEARGOLD SHOW 4YO+ PACE (2242MS)
General: Driver/Trainer C Voak was questioned with regards to the performance of ROCKNROLL SPIRIT finishing 93 metres into last place. A warning was placed on the performance of the gelding. Mr Voak put forward that he was very disappointed with the run and he is giving consideration to the gelding leaving his stable.
RACE 7 – RACING WA CAREERS IN RACING 2YO PACE (2242MS)
INTO THE FUTURE (T Wheeler) – Was forced wide racing in the front straight to receive the bell.
